IMPORTANT TO NOTE: This home is not recommended for toddlers or wildly adventurous youth. Inside: Home is not baby/toddler proofed. Stairs inside entryway lead down to laundry area and are not gated. Back patio area is edged, but not fenced. Intense hill/slope past edging. Great to watch the wildlife venture through, but extremely dangerous for wayward little feet. It is steep to the point of impassibility.
Children have stayed at the house and love watching the animals with no problems, but there are some for whom this would not be a good combo. Contact host if you have questions.

She even had music playing when we arrived. The house was very clean and organized and had everything we needed. It was only about a 15 minute drive to Omaha, which was perfect for our relaxed mini vacation to the city. The only downside was the road to get to the house. It was a very steep one lane road. This wasn’t an issue, but definitely a surprise to us. We’d 100% stay here again, steep road and all!"

Modern newly updated duplex - quiet location yet minutes to everything. Spacious rooms for you to relax in after spending the day out and about at the many close attractions. We have 2 large bedrooms, one boosts a King Bedroom and the other Bedroom offers a Queen bed and twin bed, both have black out curtains and alarm clocks. Eat in Kitchen and large Living Room with room for an air mattress if more guest space is needed. Wifi and Smart TV's along with some books and games for your rainy day or just relaxing indoor days. Our duplex backs up to the Dodge Riverside Golf Course and Harrahs Casino home of the Stir Concert Cove. Minutes to the Pedestrian Bridge, Old Market, CHI Event Center home of the Creighton Bluejays and Omaha Supernova's. Many amenities close by with scooters and bike rental to get around and enjoy the river's edge activities and events, not to mention Charles Schwab field home of the College World Series!! No parties. Your pet is welcome but must be kept on a leash while outdoors and if left unattended indoors will need to be kenneled. There is a private back patio for your enjoyment and to watch the golfers or listen to concerts. We also have a covered carport and off street parking.

Do you rather walk? Sure, just 5-7min walk down the hill to Red Light District (many bars & grill upper restaurants)!

This is our 3rd property (2 in the state of WA). For transparency, we currently live on the main floor (and basement), so you will have your own unit in the upper level.
Your own deck, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a large living room.

Be warned, this is a 1890 Victorian house so it’s a bit rustic and the flooring is pretty ancient.

Access to your property is through the back of house, going up the long stairs where you will see your own private 200sqft deck with many birds and carpenter bees (they don’t sting). Close up view of black squirrels by the kitchen window. Your mind will be blown! :)

Entry door there’s a MINI mud room, where you can go in and open the second door to avoid the rain.

Through that it’ll get you to a kitchen.
Laundry is around the wall in the kitchen (around 250sqft).

Pantry is right in middle of kitchen and living room (around 400sqft).
Walking through, there’s a beautiful, large BLACK bathroom on your right via U-Turn (around 200sqft).

Then you will see large bedroom on your left of the hallway (around 300sqft).

You will see the small bedroom right straight to the end of hallway. I’ve used this small bedroom as office in the past. For a large, queen bed, it’ll be small as the access to it will be only on one side of the wall to get on the bed, FYI (around 100sqft).

You guys will have your own fire pit by the deck too. Make sure you buy your own wood for amusement or coals for cooking. :)

This is a ln upper level unit. We also rent out main level unit. Or you can even rent both units, if available! :)

SHARED SPACE:
We have a 8ft & 6ft (kiddie’s) stock tanks as pool, which the type I’ve been swimming in both sizes growing up. No filter, but we clean them regularly with the chlorine pill. So the water could be either warm or COLD for us to swim in it.

The Martin Hughes House is a nationally registered historic property and local landmark. It was build as the mansion for Martin Hughes. This room we have available is one of the original bedrooms with one closet. It is setup for two traveling companions (Guests) with a desk, two setting chairs and two twin beds. Guests are welcome to use the amenities of our home such as the kitchen, gym, den, washer/dryer. We welcome you to come stay with us in the Martin Hughes House!

Martin Hughes was a local brick manufacturer, his home incorporates many different brick architecture styles which he used as a place to bring potential clients. We are top hosts and enjoy sharing our home with our guests! Guests are welcome to socialize with us and other guests or quietly stay for a night while traveling!

Located in northeast council bluffs. Perfect for work, I provide self check in, WiFi, security system, extra tables and chairs for extra work space. My 5 bedroom spacious home on a can be rented by single room, walking distance to methodist, close to the interstate, downtown and 10 minutes from the airport. Home is located on the south side of Lake Manawa, between Missouri River and Lake Manawa State Park. It has easy access to walking and biking trails, swimming and playground area, and the boats ramps.
Note: When you're near the lake area, please be aware wildlife may cross the road.
Ideally located near interstate I-80 and I-29, with easy access to Omaha business areas and local attractions. Pamphlets and brochures of fun things to do around town are available in the suite.
Supermarkets (Walmart and Target) along with a variety of places to dine are nearby.

During your stay

Other things to note
Fishing on the canal is permitted with an Iowa fishing license. Bring your poles and fish off the patio area. Cropie, bass, catfish and carp frequent the canal.
If you have your own boat or other watercraft, there is an additional slip available with prior coordination. An additional fee may be required.
Liability Waiver is required for bike, kayak, canal or lake use for travelers and their guests.
You'll need to navigate some steps to gain access to the premises as the AirBnB space is located in the lower level of our home.
My son's room is located in the lower level so inside stairs and hallway are for common use.

This space in not childproof and, for this reason, infants/toddlers are not accepted. There is a "house notes" book on the table when you arrive that will give you many helpful tips for your stay.

Other things to note
This is a basement apartment and the ceiling is a little low. I am 5'11" and there is not a problem for me, however, at it's lowest spot, the ceiling is 6' from the floor so if you are over 6', there will be areas where you will need to duck down a bit. You can see those lower spots in the photos.

There are 2 single beds in the bedroom, they are trundle beds and one is underneath the other one. Friends, family, and many guests have stayed with me and commented that they are comfortable. These beds are 6' in length so if you are taller than 6', this could be a little short for you. There is also a folding couch bed and the mattress is new, but thin, as many couch beds are because it must be able to fold up in the couch. There is memory foam and/or an additional mattress that can be added upon request.

The space
My favorite part of living on the lake is waking up early and standing on the dock with a cup of coffee just before sunrise. The air is still brisk which causes mist to radiate from the lake, causing hints of rainbows as the sun rises. It is mesmerizing to hear the birds chirping and the squirrels drinking the morning dew on the flowers.
If you're lucky, our neighbor's pup will stop by to say hello.
Very late at night, if you listen closely, you can hear the owl who lives in our backyard.

This historic home is in the heart of Council Bluffs and only 10 minutes to CHI and the NCAA round one Basketball Championship. Walkable to several parks, the 100 Block, a short drive to Downtown Omaha, Wabash Trail, Omaha zoo, and more. Lots of beautiful old homes to admire on a quiet tree lined street.

The space
This historic home was built for one of Council Bluffs first Mayors! In the 1800’s. We lived next door for over 20 years and have always loved this little charming house. It’s been refurbished with a lot of love and now a great place to enjoy our hometown. It’s a very old home so has some quirks but we think that’s adds to character.

The neighborhood is very walkable and friendly. Many neighbors are happy to stop and chat and pets are always welcome. We love to share our favorite local spots and tips if you’re interested. The WiFi can be on the slower side if that’s important.

This home is over 100 years old and we do our best to keep it well maintained. Heat and Air are controlled by the lower unit but we can control on our phones as well if a guest messages with issues.

Also since this is an older home you will occasionally have some noise from the main floor guests. Along with the usual old home quirks like slightly lower water pressure.

This is our 3rd AirBnB property (2 in the state of WA). For transparency, when booked, other Airbnb guests would be also on the property, staying on the main floor (and basement), but you will have your own unit in the upper level.

Be warned, this is a 1890 Victorian house so it’s a bit rustic and the flooring is pretty ancient! :)

Access to your property is through the back of house, going up the long stairs where you will see your own private 200sqft deck with many birds and carpenter bees (they don’t sting). Close up view of black squirrels by the kitchen window. Your mind will be blown! :)

Entry door there’s a MINI mud room, where you can go in and open the second door to avoid the rain.

Through that it’ll get you to a kitchen.
Laundry is around the wall in the kitchen (around 250sqft).

Pantry is right in middle of kitchen and living room (around 400sqft).
Walking through, there’s a beautiful, large BLACK bathroom on your right via U-Turn (around 200sqft).

Then you will see large bedroom on your left of the hallway (around 300sqft).

You will see the small bedroom right straight to the end of hallway. I’ve used this small bedroom as office in the past. For a large, queen bed, it’ll be small as the access to it will be only on one side of the wall to get on the bed, FYI (around 100sqft).

You guys will have your own fire pit by the deck too. Make sure you buy your own wood for amusement or coals for cooking. :)

However, you can save $25, but then you’d have to fill it up yourself and drain out water plus wash it off, and don’t forget to put hose in circle position nicely.

No filter, but maintenance guy will clean them regularly with the chlorine pill and soap with the $25 fee.
With the fee the water will be cooler comparing to not paying with the fee then you will need to fill it up yourself, with COLD (fresh hose) water.

Located just outside the Lake Manawa Business District and Metro Crossing - conveniently fuel-up, hit the interstate, grocery shop, grab a bite, or get some retail therapy - our guest suite is a stones throw away from Lake Manawa, which offers beach access, boating, and recreational space for cookouts and other gatherings.

With a kitchenette, washer & dryer, functional dining room & living area, and 500 mbps WiFi, our two bedroom guest suite is well-suited for your stay!

The space
Our guest suite has two bedrooms with a queen and full size mattress, a cozy living room with a full size pull-out bed, dining area, and a 3/4 bath. The kitchenette is equipped with a washer and dryer, refrigerator, sink, pots, pans, utensils, and auxiliary cooking devices.

The guest suite is its own private area with a private entrance on a shared property where we reside. If a guest needs assistance or is running low on essentials during a long stay, we’re usually able to accommodate them pretty quickly!

Guest access is via keypad. A code will be sent to you prior to check-in.

We have a 8ft galvanized stock tank as pool, which the type I’ve been swimming growing up.

It’ll be $25 FEE if you want someone to come and fill up and then drain for you.
“Prep & post.”

However, you can save $25, but then you’d have to fill it up yourself and drain out water plus wash it off, and don’t forget to put hose in circle position nicely.

No filter, but maintenance guy will clean them regularly with the chlorine pill and soap with the $25 fee.
With the fee the water will be cooler comparing to not paying with the fee then you will need to fill it up yourself, with COLD (fresh hose) water.

We will love it either way! :D

The space
Casa Verde is located in an Urban neighborhood a block away from a main highway in Council Bluffs. There may be times where you hear traffic, or see people walking down the street.

Our house consists of two bedrooms, offering a total of four beds for your comfort. In one bedroom, you'll find a queen-sized bed, perfect for a restful night's sleep. The second bedroom is a unique loft space, featuring another queen-sized bed and two full-sized beds, providing ample sleeping options for larger groups or families.

Along with the bedrooms, you'll have access to a fully functional kitchen, equipped with everything you need to whip up delicious meals during your stay. Additionally, there's a convenient main floor laundry area for your use, making it easy to keep your clothes fresh and clean throughout your visit.

For your comfort and convenience, there's also a 3/4 bathroom on the main floor, ensuring you have all the essential amenities at your fingertips

We also have a fully fenced-in backyard space. Here, you'll find a delightful patio set where you can relax and unwind, a grill for outdoor cooking adventures, and a paved patio area.

Located in Council Bluffs, this is located right up the street from the historic East Broadway where the 100 Block is located. This includes local restaurants, bars, the local supermarket, YMCA and hospital. This cozy place is in a quiet neighbourhood, that is sure to make you enjoy Council Bluffs to the fullest.

Located just five minutes from Downtown. You cant help but enjoy the beautiful lighting and windows. Cathedral Ceilings and beautiful lighting available. Private Drive for parking. Very safe neighborhood, quiet and located on a private Cul de Sac. there is a door on the bedroom but it does not have a lock. I have been a host for 7 years and there's never been an issue

The space
My home has a Great feeling of comfort as soon as you walk in the door. Located on a Private Cul de sac, traffic is non-existant and the neighbors are very quiet. The sunlight that comes thru the windows welcomes you with a feeling of joy and blessings.

Guests will have access to their own rivate bathroom and bedroom. Private parking in the drive way, and full use of the deck off the kitchen.

Other things to note
I do have a Persian cat and Himalayan cat there are declawed and very friendly. I will not let them into your room when you are a guest. the bedroom does have a door that closes but it does not lock, however I'm the 7 years I've been on Airbnb there has never ever been an issue.
