155 Lakewood is an older, rustic cabin that sleeps up to 6. There is no longer a dock but the owner is willing to let guests use his dock next door to set chairs out and fish but it doesn’t include permission to boat from. This rental includes a kitchen, living room, one bathroom, and porch overlooking the lake. There are two twin beds on the porch that do not have direct access to the AC, a bedroom with a full sized bed, and a second bedroom with a set of twin bunk beds. There is also enough floor space for an air mattress or sleeping bags if guests choose to bring them. A window AC is located in the central living room although it can still get fairly warm in the summer months. During the cooler months the electric can only support 1-2 small space heaters so plan accordingly. This is an older cabin that is rough around the edges and more of a 3 season cabin than a year-round home. This is not for someone looking for anything fancy but still very enjoyable being right on the lake.

The little window air conditioner couldn’t keep up with the heat. We unfortunately had to purchase a couple extra fans besides the one that was provided. We were looking forward to having a dock, but it wasn’t put out this year. However the property owner let us use his dock to fish from and to enter the lake for swimming. Overall we had an excellent time! Thanks to the property owner for the use of your dock!!"

- "Exactly how it was portrayed in pictures, no surprises which is a good thing. Slept great, very quiet neighborhood. Outdoor solar lights might be a good suggestion since it does get so dark and steps outside. Easily fixed with a flashlight though so not a big deal. Owner was very easy to talk to and got back to me with quickly with questions." - "Hosts were helpful, friendly and amenable. They were available and prompt to respond to questions."

3 Bed and 1 sofa bed, 1 Bath---( 2 queen beds, 1 full and 1 queen pull out sofa bed in living area) Able to accommodate 8 guests maximum, 6-7 guests more comfortably.
There is an outlet with USB and on each nightstand for phone charging.
We have had a lot of guests staying for events such as weddings therefore we have a mirror with a nearby outlet in each bedroom and an area to rest hair dryer, and other supplies needed to get ready.
Iron, Ironing Board and clothes steamer provided in laundry area.
Large bathroom with Tub/Shower has a removable hand held attachment for easier bathing.
For guests with children there is a play kitchen, small table for coloring activities, and a few games. Pack N Play and toddler cot for sleeping.

There is no smoking in the house but is allowed outside, preferably the backyard.

Garage access may be offered during winter months OR upon request.

This property is for fun people. It's for families, cyclists, tourists and vacationers. It's not on the lake but it's 3 blocks from the piers and beach. Two blocks from splash pad and pickle-ball. This property is one block or less from nearly all eateries-Soak'd tap house (bottom up style tap and pizza), Houdini's, grocery store. Milton's and Pelican Pub is across the street.

The space
Definitely more of a cozy cabin feel than a house, but with all the house amenities. 4 people fit very comfortably. There is an open loft upstairs with a king bed and a comfortable queen hide-a-bed downstairs. The bathroom has a stand up shower and great water pressure. The kitchen is stocked with all you could need for appliances at the lake. Coffee pot, Keurig, blender and more. Grill also available upon request. We do have a TV, but no cable. Streaming capabilities only.

Other things to note
If bringing a boat you must use public boat ramps close by the cabin. Docks at the cabin are not for public use. You can tie your boat up to the cabin dock during the day, but cannot leave it tied up overnight.

The space
The master bedroom has 1 queen bed. There is a wood cabinet/shelf for clothing and personal items. Night stands and plug-in and each side of the bed.

There is a master bathroom with a small shower and small vanity.

There is a small 8’x8’ bonus room off the master hallway which has a queen bed.

The guest bedroom has 1 queen, 1 full, 1 twin bunk; plus a couch/full size futon.

There’s a small closet for storing luggage and other items in the guest bedroom.

The living room has a hide-a-bed plus a 2 pice sectional couch and oversize chair.

The kitchen has a large island with 5 bar stools, a small round kitchen table with 4 chairs, and a bar top that backs up to the couch for easy tv viewing whiling have a drink or snack.

The Kitchen and most appliances and amenities you need. Crock pot, microwave, blender, toaster, plus a built in air fryer in the stove. Large double door fridge with ice maker.

Outside; there is a large 5 burner flattop grill, 2 awning that have removable shade covers, wicker furniture, plus at least 10 chairs with removable cushions.

Outdoor awning and furniture cushions must be put out and put away by guests.

Dock is removed around September and put back in around May. When the docks are all removed it is an amazing view of the lake! The winter months are so beautiful; watching bald eagles roam around on the ice is fascinating.

This property is located on the East side of Black Hawk lake which offers fantanstic sunsets. The patio on the waters edge is great for basking in the sun or jumping from the dock for a swim. Evening fires at the waters edge is also a great way to close out days fun. The property includes a boat hoist and jet ski hoist so feel free to bring your own toys for convenient access while you enjoy your stay. The house was rully remodeled in 2006.
