- "I booked this property on VRBO three times over three weeks for a total of 10 nights. These were all weekday stays. The condo unit is nice and well-appointed. We had all the basics we needed to be comfortable and cook our own meals. We were some of this owner's first guests, so he was still working out the kinks (e.g. check-in process), but Ahamed is super-responsive and very flexible. We had to wait past 2 PM a couple of times to check in because of the cleaners' timing but Ahamed made up for it on the other end by letting us check out at noon instead of 11 AM. Two things to know: 1) The highway noise is significant in this unit, especially on the balcony and in the bedrooms. I sleep with earplugs, so it didn't bother me. Light sleepers might have a different experience. 2) There is a noticeable cat funk in the hallway leading to this unit. Another owner on this floor clearly loves their cats. I'm allergic to cats but didn't have any issues. The funk does not carry over into this unit."

The home offers wifi, four Smart tv's , dish washer, air conditioning and 2 wood burning stoves. The basement is set up as a game room/ bar area with air hockey table, foosball, Marvel Arcade and full sized ping pong table. Dry bar with wine fridge.

Fully furnished with sheets, towels, dishes, cuisine food processor, coffee pot, etc. Fully stocked kitchen, please let me know if you have a specific item you need and I'm happy to let you know if you offer it!

There is also a Blackstone grill griddle and pellet smoker for your use. Bring your own type of smoking pellet just in case there aren't any available.

Ring Security cameras monitors the driveway entrance. Noise decibel monitors (Minut) are located outside near the front and back to protect our neighbor's happiness from loud parties.

Dust can accumulate every few days due to it being a country home on a gravel road with 2 wood burning fireplaces.

This is a great place for family gatherings, a honeymoon weekend, a relaxing getaway, or retreat.

Other things to note
Out of respect for the neighbors, no loud music please. Our property can only handle micro weddings of 30 or less visitors. Only 23 guests are allowed to spend the night. if you plan on hosting a wedding please inform us. Events with excess guests may incur a surcharge.

If we are experiencing severe cold (such as -30 degrees), both our fireplaces will need to be used due to the largeness of our home.

Also, this is a very large house. The heating/AC do well, It takes awhile to catch up to adjustments. Please keep doors and windows closed, as this will prevent the Heat/AC from keeping up, and it could take a while for it to catch back up

We are green! Solar panels provide 90% of our electricity!

Would recommend!" - "Huge property with a charming cabin; plenty of space for 13 adults to hang out for a long weekend (only 2 people had to sleep on a couch - bring a couple air mattresses and you can comfortably sleep a ton of people). We chose this place because of the large number of bedrooms and bathrooms. The basement has ping pong, air hockey, a bar, Foosball... so much to do. Jennifer was extremely helpful and quick to communicate; was super friendly and accommodating my request for an earlier check-in. They even left a couple bottles of wine for us. The views around the deck(s) are fantastic; the vineyard is really pretty especially in the early morning sunrise with fog/haze. You can hear some roosters and cows in the distance. There are some neighbors within eye/ear-shot but it's still super private and remote you don't even really remember they're there. There's even a fenced-in portion of the yard (quite large) if you have dogs. I'd consider staying here again with just my small family and would bring my dog to enjoy that running space. Overall, a fantastic stay thanks to a great property and home, and very pleasant hosts. Thanks again!"

- "Beautiful and peaceful" - "Enjoyed our stay. It was a perfect little spot, but I did not notice when I booked it that there is actually not a kitchen. I had brought food to cook, but that did not work! There is a small room that looks like a converted laundry room that has a coffee bar, a tiny fridge (about 1/2 the size of my dorm room frige) and a microwave. We made it work, but worth noting if you are like me and just assumed there is a kitchen! It's really more like a glorified hotel suite than what I think of as a traditional VRBO, but as long as you know that going into it, you're all good! When we arrived, the host sent me a note that the keyless entry system was not working, so she had left a key in the lock with a code on it. That was all good, but we could not get the lock to open with the provided code. Thankfully, she was only about 10 minutes away, so she came and let us in. She couldn't get the lock to open either, but then came back later and got it to work. Not really a big deal, just a little inconvenient. She also gave us some paper plates and plastic silverware since I told her that I didn't realize there wasn't a kitchen! The place is super cute. Decor is lovely and it worked great for our family other than the things mentioned. The location is fabulous - within walking distance to the park, ice cream shop, local eateries. We took our boat and went to Lake MacBride. It was gorgeous. I would stay there again for sure! Thank you so much!"

Enjoy easy access to everything from this perfectly located home in Coralville, Iowa. Coralville is 5 minutes from Iowa City. Only 5 minutes from I-80, 10 minutes from the U of I and 2 miles in all directions to many restaurants. Your section of the home is private with a separate entrance. We have a Ranch with a walkout basement. It's like an apartment within a home. The Donut Suite is the entire downstairs of our home. There is only 1 stair from where you park to the entrance of the suite.

The space
This private entrance and private one extra large room suite is cute, comfortable, and has off street parking just outside your door. The parking is in the back of the house along with your private entrance to the one room suite. The driveway has room for one large vehicle or two teeny cars. You will have a code for the door that is changed between guests.

Other things to note
When you pull in the driveway, drive all the way back and curve to right to drive behind the house. You can then park at the back of the house facing the garage, on the left side of the driveway. The white fence will be on your left, and so is your Airbnb. There is one step up from where you park to the patio to enter your Suite.

Hosts live upstairs with 2 cats and 1 dog. The pets have NEVER been in the Airbnb. You might hear the patter of pet or human feet from above.

We do not allow pets in our Airbnb space because my son has severe allergies. We need a place that he can stay that is completely pet free. No pets have ever been down there. It has new carpet, paint, new kitchenette, and some new walls.

The space
This get-away is nevertheless close to life's necessities! We are located 1 mile north of Oxford with its friendly small-town convenience store, Sale Barn sale on Tuesdays, and a delightful weekend antique shop. You will be only 5 miles west of Tiffin's several restaurants and Fareway Grocery, and 5 miles east of historic Amana. Iowa City's hospitals, sports venues, and Hancher Auditorium are 25 minutes away. Within 30-45 minutes are Cedar Rapids, Kalona and Lake McBride. Of course, to stop the clock, take black-top or gravel roads to virtually anywhere to sample Iowa's beautiful and bountiful rural countryside.

Plan to kick back! Enjoy the magnificent 60’ marker oak tree just outside the back door. In summer sit on the patio and smell fresh hay and snap a picture against one of the season’s large 1-ton round hay bales. Please, only outside or garage pets; be aware your dog may be distracted by squirrels. No neighboring dogs, but an occasional friendly cat might stroll through.

The space
City close and country quiet, this stay is located on a private wildlife refuge and nature preserve just 10 miles south of Cedar Rapids.

Steps from the tent is access to over a mile of hiking trails, views of the wildflower prairie, and our friendly herd of llamas.

The Dewdrop is a canvas bell tent with stargazing windows for a truly immersive nature experience with the comforts of a queen bed, seating area, along with access to wifi and solar giving you the option to stay connected or unplug.

The tent accommodates two guests and while it feels wonderfully remote, you’re only a 1-2 minute walk to a restroom facility with a hot shower, flushing toilet, and sink for your comfort.

Located within a half mile of the farm is a local bar and restaurant, Shuey's, BAM'S Pizzeria, and a darling wine and spirits shop-The Secret Cellar. Within one mile is a gas station and convenience store.

Take a short 5 minute drive over to Swisher to check out Cedar Ridge Winery and Distillery or grab breakfast, lunch, or dinner at the popular Kava House Cafe.

When hiking, please stay on the designated trails and on prairie patch property.

You are welcome to visit with our friendly herd of animals including the llamas, goats, pigs, and cats.
If you would like to purchase feed to treat the llamas, goats and/or pigs please contact the host for more information.

The common areas around the farm by the barns and play area are welcome for you to use.
You can enter the llama barn located on the west side of the property-all other buildings are not accessible to guests.

The bathhouse is accessible to all who visit the farm which means other visitors have access to the restroom.

The tent is located on a nature preserve where there is potential of seeing wildlife including but not limited to turkeys, deer, coyotes, raccoons, opossums, birds, hawks and more.

I do mitigation for bugs, but sometimes they can get in the tent. Please always keep screens closed on windows and doors of the tent to prevent bugs entering.

Expect the tent to be hot on summer days, keeping the roof shade in place helps significantly and fans will offset this.

The space
This is a basement apartment. My husband and I are empty nesters and live upstairs. You will have a completely separate entrance from the main part of the house by following the sidewalk around back. You will enter into a large open floor plan with the living room, office area, dining area, and kitchen. There are 3 bedrooms: 2 with king beds and 1 with 2 full beds. There is also a queen-sized airbed to allow 10 guests. A large bathroom with the double sink separated from the toilet/shower will allow some to get ready at the sinks while someone else is showering or using the restroom.

The question we get the most is if the pool is shared with anyone else. It is our family pool, so there is a chance either we or our grandchildren could be there, but it would be for a limited amount of time. At this point, we have never had an issue with this.

Guest access
Follow the sidewalk around to the back of the house for your private entrance. There is an optional entrance through the garage, into the laundry room, and down the stairs. This would still be private, separated by a locked door from our living space.

The space
The house is warm and inviting. Salvaged yellow pine barn beams and cedar wood throughout give it that cabin feel. The property has miles of single track trails great for hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing. The property adjoins the Hawkeye Wildlife Management area which gives you access to 1,000s of acres of public land for recreation. An albino deer has made this area its home territory, multiple sightings by guests and neighbors.

Guest access
The house has plenty of privacy being down a dead end road. Just off the hard surface road making access in the winter safe and easy. There is a circle drive with plenty of free parking. There is a bathroom on the ground floor and upstairs. The upstairs bathroom is located in the room with the king sized bed.

Hunting is allowed, please communicate hunting plans. The privacy at this Airbnb is unmatched in the area.

During the summer, head to the beach or rent a boat just a 3 minute drive. During winter enjoy ice fishing or use the groomed snowmobile or cross country ski trails.

Boat ramps for the slow lake (pontoon) of Lake MacBride or the Coralville Reservoir for fast boats. Both boat ramps are within a 3 to 5 minute drive. Winter sports include ice fishing cross country ski trails, and groomed snowmobile trails.

Ring Security cameras monitors the driveway entrance. Noise decibel monitors (Minut) are located outside near the front and back to protect our neighbor's happiness from loud parties.

Kitchen amenities include: Crock-Pots, Panini press, Ninja Blender, toaster oven, and extra standard coffee maker! Turkey roaster available upon request at no additional charge.

Since this is an extra large Cabin, our heating system will need to be aided by our fireplace at a negative temperatures. The cabin is heated with both geothermal and floor heating plus we provide space heaters and enough firewood to run both fireplaces to help keep up with severe cold temperatures.

Check out is simple! Just load your dishes into the dishwasher and take trash to the garage.

Guest access
Entire home available for large groups. A code will be provided through access through the garage, where guests can park.

Other things to note
Out of respect for the neighbors, no loud music please. Our property can only handle micro weddings of 30 or less visitors. Only 24 guests are allowed to spend the night. if you plan on hosting a wedding or other gathering please inform us as there may be an event fee.

In regards to weather, we have a local company that provides snow removal. Please do not go beyond the vineyard due to neighboring property lines.

Geothermal is a green/environmental friendly heating/cooling source. However, it is not like a typical furnace that heats air with a flame and blows it out hot. Geothermal works at a steady heat utilizing the ground as a heat exchanger. It works best leaving it at a constant temperature. We are not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen guest property, before, during, or after your stay. When temperate are in negative degree range, we may require the use of the fireplace to help keep the temperate in the home due to this being such a large real log cabin.
