Bedrooms are average sized as was the style in the 60’s. There are 3 queen beds. Plenty of closet space for hanging clothes or storage. Clock radios, lamps, nightlights and charging stations in each bedroom. One 65” television in the living room and a smaller one in the large bedroom. LED lighted ceiling fans throughout. New appliances. Laundry room. Real hardwood floors in bedrooms. Tiled showers, keyless front entry as well as garage door keypad. 1 1/2 baths are on the main level. The other bathroom is in the basement. It is newly installed and private but the basement itself is not finished. Huge driveway for plenty of off street parking. Garage was built for 1960’s sized cars, so it is a bit short for large vehicles. Front yard is a great place to throw football or play any sport you wish. Overall I think you’ll be hard pressed to find another house this old in such great condition.

You will have access to most of the house and 1 stall of the 3 car garage. Basement is unfinished and I store a lot of cleaning and work supplies in a locked storage room. I put things up and out of the way, but kids are smart be aware of them if playing in the basement. There is a door going to the basement that can be closed and locked if you need.

I live just a few blocks away. As long as I’m around I can be there quickly if there’s a problem. Also have smart locks that I can open doors if you forget the code.

Nice middle class neighborhood. A mixture of all ages but mostly people in their 30’s and 40’s working hard and raising good kids.

Nice Quiet neighborhood. Safe to walk around and enjoy the fresh air. Parking on the street is allowed but not necessary because we have a huge driveway. Easily parks 4 cars

We have a ring doorbell at the front door, a ring camera outside by the garage, and one in the backyard for security reasons. There are no cameras or listening devices inside of the house.

This residence is located in University Heights which has a no street parking policy. The home has space for 4 parked cars in the driveway. Access to the garage is limited to garbage and recycling; there is no parking in the garage. The house is in a quiet, nice neighborhood, and it's a 10-minute drive to downtown Iowa City (University of Iowa). Many stores and restaurants are nearby. Two rooms are available, and I can host up to 4 people. I do have cats. If you are allergic to cats or don’t like cats, please do not book! My cats are very friendly, they do not attack strangers at all and like being petted by anyone.

My place is walking distance to a park and bus stop. Lots of sidewalks, in a peaceful and safe neighborhood. Close to restaurants, grocery stores, laundromat and downtown. University, clinics & hospital nearby. Coralville is 15 minutes away from my house, easy access to I-80. Easy check in with a code set up for each guest, through the front door. There’s plenty of space in the driveway for guests to park their car. Guests are free to check in anytime after the check in time.

5 bed 3 bath 2800+ sq ft home. You will have a private furnished bedroom, in a shared spacious home. This home is shared with other Airbnb guests, many who are travel hospital staff. They are often either working, sleeping, or returning to their primary home during days off. The home has been described as “a library” as it is a calm, quiet and safe place.

Often the perfect location for travel nurses / hospital staff, but all are welcome!

We're 6 walkable blocks to downtown, 5 to Northside Market, a short walk to Hancher Auditorium/City Park, and 3 to the Iowa Writer's Workshop. We love to get to know any guests who want to get to know us, but we won't bother anyone who wants to be left alone. It's your call.

The space
This bedroom (2nd floor) is 225 sq ft (15' x15'). It has a four-poster bed, dresser, small writing desk and chair, bedside table, overhead lighting and fan, 2 lamps, a desk lamp, bookcase, and closet. The bathroom (glass shower stall, vessel sink, antique cabinet) is directly across the hall and contains a wide variety of amenities, including towels, blow dryer, hair products, makeup remover cloth, and more.

Most of our 5600 sq. ft. home is shared space; we'll point out the few exceptions. You'll have access to the first-floor living room and dining room, the second-floor living room, parts of the basement, and all of the decks and front porch. Coffee and tea are available for you to make at any time. Feel free to store food and beverages in the indicated refrigerator and make your own meals using our cookware and dishes. You'll have access to WIFI throughout the house. Staying a few days? Feel free to use the washer and drier.

Stairs are required to enter the house and to access the guest rooms.

A few times per year, we host readings, house concerts by friends, or parties. Feel free to join us if you like! If that's not something that interests you or would be annoying to you, be sure to tell us before you book.

We have up-to-date smoke alarms and heat sensors, C02 sensors, and fire extinguishers throughout the house, and we'll make sure you are aware of the many exits available to you. We take everyone's safety very seriously.

We've been told our home feels like home to our guests too. That's exactly how we'd like you to feel when you stay with us. If there's anything we can do to make your stay better, please let us know. If you need something and don't see it, just ask; we can probably provide it. If you'd like a humidifier or extra heater, more blankets or pillows, or any amenities, just ask! We'll do our best to accommodate your requests.

Guest access
You'll have access to some of the basement, two living rooms, two eating areas, a fully stocked kitchen (bring your own food and beverages), and all porches and decks. If you're here for an extended stay, ask us how to use our washer and dryer. We hope you will make yourself at home!

You'll also have access to our high-speed wifi service. We hate to have to bring this up, but please be aware that any downloading of copyrighted material is illegal and will be prosecuted by the authorities. Our internet company charges a $250,000 fine for downloading illegal material, and it is also a federal crime. If your illegal behavior causes us expenses, you will be responsible to pay them. So thanks in advance for being respectful of the law and the wifi we provide!

During your stay
We work out of our home, but we won't be in your way. Our offices are on the top floor, as are our sleeping quarters; your room is on the second floor. You will be sharing our large home with us and possibly other guests. But you'll have a private room and private bath for your use alone.

We're pretty busy people with work and other commitments, but when we are available, we'll be happy to get to know you if you like. We love meeting new people but we won't spoil your trip by monopolizing your time. :)

The gold room (2nd floor) is 180 sq ft. It has a queen-sized bed, antique dresser, bedside tables and closet. The bathroom (tub/shower, sink with plenty of counter space, antique medicine cabinet with mirror, tall shelving unit, large mirror, and heated floor) is en suite.

Coffee and tea are available for you to help yourself during the day. Feel free to store food and beverages in the designated refrigerator and make your own meals using our cookware and dishes. You'll have access to WIFI throughout the house.

Staying a while? Feel free to use the washer and drier for your traveling needs.

Stairs are required to enter the house and to access the guest rooms.

Enjoy easy access to everything downtown Iowa City which is located 3 blocks away. Football Stadium is an appox 20 min walk. The apartment is in the attic of an old, Victorian home which has been recently updated. You will have a private entrance, please know you will have to climb 2 flights of stairs for access. The stay includes 2 parking spaces, there is also a parking ramp 1 block way for additional cars. I live in the house, so please be considerate with the festivities.

-- a second bedroom area with a bunk bed closed off by a large curtain for privacy,

Note that me and my two kids periodically live in the upper level. When I am traveling, the upper level is never rented.
