This combined with the beautiful oak and hickory timber and thousands of acres of restored native grasslands, provides a wonderful setting to enjoy the great outdoors. There are 21,000 acres of public land offering swimming, boating, hunting, golf, trails, eight parks, marina and off road ATV park. Cabin has a large partially covered deck on the front and a fire ring in the back yard. A deck also leads you out the back door allowing you complete privacy as you are surrounded by timber on all sides. The cabin also has a washer and dryer, dishwasher and full size refrigerator, WIFI with Hulu live and movie streaming. It sits on two lots that borders Lake Rathbun in the Antler Acres subdivision with private access to a walking path to the lake.

We are now renting our paradise/summer getaway!! A perfect location and setup for your family!! Located in Antler Acres just 3 miles from the Honey Creek State Park boat ramp. Our newer modern mobile home is situated on a peaceful corner lot, with a very nice view. Great neighborhood setting, with 2 lots worth of yard space for games and campfires. We have lots of room for parking, including your boat or jet skis.

Nice large front deck overlooking a great view of our neighbor's pond and the great outdoors. The pond is not ours and therefore can't be fished in.
The home has an open-concept living room with a full kitchen area. Gas grill on the back deck for cooking outdoors. One bedroom has a queen-size bed and a master bath, the other has a full-size bed with 2nd bathroom close by. The bedrooms are located on each end of the rental.

Our rental sleeps 4 people comfortably and there is a futon in the living room that folds out and will sleep, 2 guests.

You will find great roads to safely take those nice refreshing walks and just an all-around great neighborhood.

Our mobile home is situated on an all paved road, neighborhood setting, with 3 lots worth of yard space for games and camp fires. We have lots of outdoor living, with a full length covered patio, 1/2 of which is screened. The home has open concept living with an open living and kitchen area, that is bright and inviting with lots of windows. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has a twin over full bunk bed. The bathroom has been completely updated.

In the future, the DNR plans to link the two parks, which are separated by a cove, with a pedestrian bridge. Honey Creek State Park offers camping, camping cabins, heated shower facility, trails and a boat ramp.
Another DNR facility in the area is the Rathbun Fish Hatchery. The hatchery raises channel catfish, walleye, saugeye and largemouth bass, which are then stocked in other Iowa lakes. Visitors are welcome year-round, including large-group tours with an appointment.

- "Myself and two of my buddies did a fishing trip to the lake. The cabin was a short trip to the boat launch. The cabin was very clean and everything was well organized. The amenities that were supplied were sufficient. The staff had great communication with us when we needed it and addressed all of our questions. The only thing that I would say is that the Wi-Fi was a little quirky. For us it did not matter cuz we were not there to mess around on that Wi-Fi very much. I would recommend these cabins to anyone. It's a very cool place and it is especially built for fishing trips in my opinion."
