I had access to 3 catch and release ponds and they told me about the evening activities for the kids. The Lego movie and roasting marshmallows. Plus there was a pretty nice playground for the kids. I wish I would have known about this place when my kids were little. The doors to the rooms still had the old fashion door handles with real keys. I had a bit of trouble with the key. I went and got some help and realized I just needed to wiggle the handle a bit while turning the key. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised and will be returning."

Beautiful private log cabin suite, conveniently located just east of the Kansas City Metro with great highway access. Close to wedding venues: Lone Summit Ranch, Powell Gardens and Stonehaus Winery. All the comforts of home! The suite features a king bed, sitting area with gas fireplace, private bath with shower, whirlpool jetted tub and kitchenette. The kitchenette includes a full-size refrigerator, small stove/oven, microwave and sink. Electric grill on private deck.

The cabin has 2 separate and private units for guest usage. There is a locked door between this suite and the other 2 bedroom unit. If both units are rented then the door can be unlocked so you can access both sides.
There is a lower level that houses a med spa. The lower
level does not have access to the Studio Suite or the other 2 bedroom unit.

Guest access

The cabin has three levels. The upstairs which is bedroom two and can only be accessed via the unit. The main level which contains the living, dining, master, kitchen, two decks. On the main level, there is also another unit, Studio Suite, that shares a locked interior door with this unit. Both units on the main level are private with individual entrances. The Studio Suite is available to book as well. The lower level, which does not have any access to the main level, is occupied by a med spa.

Beautiful Western Cabin that is well appointed for a once in a lifetime memorable night or two. The Cabin is secluded and nestled at the base of a ridge line with views of wildlife in the field. Flagstone patio, Table, BBQ, and open firepit provide an ambience with the outdoors to gaze at the stars. For bedding down, step inside the Cabin to a Living room, Queen bed and loft above with two beds, bathroom and shower, TV, Star-Link, Full kitchen, LG Washer/Dryer, Coffee maker, and a designer decor.

Glamping at it’s finest! Come enjoy our 32 acres of rolling hills, beautiful meadows, adventurous woods and peaceful creek. It is a haven right in the city. Our land is secluded, yet only about a mile from Walmart for any of your camping needs. You can even DoorDash dinner to you!
Take a hike through the woods or explore the creek, so much to do! Or if you’re looking for a weekend to just be lazy and relax, you can do that too! The hammock is so relaxing to lay in and listen to the creek.
Get ready to see some deer, owls, woodpeckers, bunnies, and if you’re lucky some wild turkeys! The tent has a queen size bed that’s super comfy! For winter glamping, we have several big warm blankets! For summer, the windows of the tent unzip of you can unzip the entire bottom of the tent to let the breeze in. If you have more than 2 people in your group, you are welcome to bring air mattresses and bedding. Enjoy a fire with our provided firewood and fire starter. We have a deck of cards if you’re in the mood for games. Listen to some music on the bluetooth speaker.
There is an tea kettle with tea, hot cocoa and coffee provided. You can charge your phone on our small generator.

*When it rains before or during your stay, the dirt path way back to the tent does get too muddy to drive. If you come during a rainy time, you will need to pull your vehicle in off the road and hike the 1/4 mile path to the tent.*

This 1970s lakefront cedar cabin is nestled into a wooded acre on Crystal Lakes, a spring fed lake with historical waters, 8 minutes from downtown Excelsior Springs and 45 minutes from downtown Kansas City, MO. This home is your haven to tune in to the rhythms of the seasons, to slow down and connect back to yourself or the ones you love.

The space

The cabin's design imitates nature with its high ceilings and large windows, filling the space with natural light and immersing you into the surroundings. There is one bedroom with a queen sized bed, one full bathroom, an office/studio for remote work days and a kitchen equipped with all the basic cooking essentials. The furnishings pay homage to the simple things in life and bring a feeling of modern nostalgia. Drifting your memories to times of summer camp and vacations to the mountains. The living room has a cozy couch and a well-stocked bookshelf, encouraging you to sink into the moment by yourself or with someone you love. The wood burning fireplace adds to the ambiance during cold weather seasons.

During the warmer months, the indoor fireplace takes a rest while we prep it for the colder season - but you’ll have two outdoor fire pits available year round, ready for cozy evenings under the stars.

Outside the home awaits a paradise of wildlife, including 3 resident eagles, herons, beaver, deer and the occasional otter! The wooded lakefront land is rightfully the star of the show. Take a canoe out on the lake, pick some herbs straight out of the garden and end your day under the stars with a bonfire by the water. For those who prefer to spend their time cooking outside, there is a grill and dining set on the large deck attached to the cabin.

Intentionally this home does not have screens of any kind. However, we do have high-speed internet and a designated office space for those looking to stay and work remotely.

All household products have been thoughtfully chosen to be organic and natural, creating a toxin free environment and freeing your mind to focus on healing and relaxation.

The Elms Resort and Spa is 10 minutes from the cabin and offers day passes for anyone wanting to use the grottos or spa facilities. Watkins Mill State Park is under 15 minutes from the cabin along with a handful of wineries all under a 20 minute drive. The Hall of Waters is also an amazing free activity to learn the unique history of Excelsior Springs.

Guest access

Guests will have access to the entire outside property. The lake waters are best suited for paddling (ie: canoe, kayaks) vs swimming. The cabin has a canoe you can take or you can pay a small fee to access the lake with your own personal kayaks or paddle boards. Inside guests have access to the main living areas including: bedroom, bathroom, living room, dining area, office and kitchen. The basement and garage are off limits, reserved for the homeowners storage.

Excelsior Springs offers wine trolley tours through out the year. Want to just chill? How about by the outdoor fire place, or fire wall. Sit on the patio sip your coffee and listen to nature and watch the variety of birds. Enjoy watching the neighbor’s cows from the front porch. We are kid and pet friendly. Great for a weekend with the guys or girls, a crafting get away, or couple's retreat--there are options.
