There was a gap underneath the front door that allowed bugs to crawl in, one in which was a scorpion that freaked the kids out. It appeared that there were people that were not staying at the place, we're parked outside our bedroom windows within a few feet, in and out of vehicles. On actual Labor Day morning there was construction and nail guns going all morning. So.... So much for sleeping in on a holiday. Definitely not worth the couple hundred bucks for a night. The kids wanted a new place, felt uncomfortable, but I made em bite the bullet for a night."

The Country Haven Lodge is a great choice for those looking for a quiet more private place to vacation. If your get-a-way means getting away from the crowds and getting back to nature and yourself, come stay and enjoy the comfortable, quiet surroundings! The lodge is next door to our home but still quiet as we don't bother you. We are only about 30 minutes from the lake and all of it's offerings. Ha Ha Tonka State Park is about 15 minutes away as well as many other attractions. Enjoy the busy things in the area then come back to the quite to grill your supper or just sit and look out at the Ozark hills and relax.
We have a 15X30 above ground pool, open from Memorial Day through Labor Day, for our guests enjoyment! (Approx. 4' deep throughout.) It's 12X20 deck is connected to the back porch for privacy and convenience. So, swim or sunbathe and enjoy the beautiful view while relaxing with loved ones!
The lodge is set on our working farm that has cattle and chickens. You might get to see some cows and baby calves and hear a rooster crow!

There is a local marina nearby with food, docks, launching ramp and boat rental. Taxi Service + Uber are in the area for hire.

This property is owned by two loving families that call the cabin home on occasion. Please take care of it as if it were your own.

James River Cabin offers a secluded escape from every day stresses while still providing all of the luxuries and comforts of home. This uniquely rustic yet child-friendly cabin provides all of the amenities that you could ask for, including a fully stocked kitchen, sleeping accommodations for 6 adults, two full bathrooms, king bed in master bedroom, queen sleeper sofa in living room, twin bunk beds, washer and dryer, wood burning fire place, outdoor fire pit and dining, three furnished outdoor living areas, HOT TUB, and satellite and roku TV. Kayaks, paddle boat and a small fishing boat were all provided. We were in or on the water every day and the fishing was unbelievable. The wildlife was abundant - squirrels, chipmunks, turtles, frogs, snakes (only 1), birds, and deer. Town is close and convenient if you need it. The hosts were easy to talk to and extremely helpful. They left a s’mores package and some candy for the kids. I highly recommend this property for anyone needing a visit to the lake!"

The deck was great, we enjoyed breakfast with a view. Had all pots, pans, baking sheets, utensils you could need, just pack your food. Owners were quick to respond to any messages as well. We opted for this place because it was close to the softball fields we were playing at over the weekend. The drive back to the cabin was woodsy and peaceful and the neighborhood they are in is quiet. We enjoyed that. There is a swim dock on the lake just a few feet from the front door which was nice as well. No dressers, but there are some nice sitting benches with totes you could use as well as some hooks if you bring your own hangers to hang your clothes. We will certainly book here again when we return."

Completely remodeled, authentic log cabin located on the edge of an everyday working ranch. This location is near Edgar Springs. Towns near are Rolla and Fort Leonard Wood at only a 15-20 min Drive. This is a very cute and fun little 1-bedroom, 1-bath cabin located in the Ozark hills! It is part of a group of 6 cabins (with plans for 6 more) called "Village of Hope". All of the cabins have been built since 2008 and they all have modern amenities including electricity, hot water, toilets, showers, WiFi, and both heating and air conditioning. All of the cabins also have a microwave, small refrigerator, and a coffee pot.

The ministry directors check-in guests in person. They also live on the grounds of the property and are readily available to address any issues or questions that may arise.

The cabins are outside of Ava, Missouri in a very rural environment in the beautiful hills of the Ozark Mountains. They are about a 10-minute drive from Ava. Ava is a quaint, older town of around 2,500 residents with a charming collection of unique shops, cafes, and restaurants. The people in the area are extremely friendly and tourists are very welcome all over town.

The cabins are less than a 10-minute drive from entry into the gorgeous Mark Twain National Forest, which provides 1.5 million acres of beautiful land for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, fishing, hunting, and exploring the beauty of God's creation. The cabins are also about a 1-hour drive from Branson, Missouri, which is world-famous for its live entertainment shows, particularly in terms of country music and Christian music.

This is a very cute and fun little 1-bedroom, 1-bath cabin located in the Ozark hills! It is part of a group of 6 cabins (with plans for 6 more) called "Village of Hope". All of the cabins have been built since 2008 and they all have modern amenities including electricity, hot water, toilets, showers, WiFi, and both heating and air conditioning. All of the cabins also have a microwave, small refrigerator, and a coffee pot.

The ministry directors check-in guests in person. They also live on the grounds of the property and are readily available to address any issues or questions that may arise.

The cabins are outside of Ava, Missouri in a very rural environment in the beautiful hills of the Ozark Mountains. They are about a 10-minute drive from Ava. Ava is a quaint, older town of around 2,500 residents with a charming collection of unique shops, cafes, and restaurants. The people in the area are extremely friendly and tourists are very welcome all over town.

The cabins are less than a 10-minute drive from entry into the gorgeous Mark Twain National Forest, which provides 1.5 million acres of beautiful land for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, fishing, hunting, and exploring the beauty of God's creation. "The Creek Cove Cabin" is a 1950's lake front cabin that has been completely renovated yet still has that retro charm. The Cabin is located in Brush Creek cove at the 38mm. Conveniently located close to grocery, shopping, restaurants, Ozark's International Raceway, and The LOOP by black top on the LOTO Westside. By water it is close to Premier Advantage Marine, Bear Bottoms Resort, Captain Ron's, and Big Dick's Halfway Inn. There is a private dock equipped with paddle boards and a float pad to swim off of or tie your boat up to. There is gravel parking space for a couple of cars and or a trailer. There is a boat ramp less than mile away at King's Pointe Resort and RV Resort for a small fee.

We just recently remodeled the porch and added to the kitchen. This cabin has so much space to just sit around the house with family, or go outside and enjoy nature. It's nice, quiet, and so peaceful. There is a pond right next to the cabin that y'all are able to catch and release. Also a fire place to grab some chairs and tell story's by the fire. There is no internet or cable but there is a dvd player and a few movies. We have a cell phone booster that works for all carriers.

My father in-law had built this place with his brother. My husband and I have just recently remodeled it. I'm in a wheelchair so we understand about how accessible some things need to be. We tried making it where there are no steps and everything is reachable. If you need a shower chair or sliding board we have some available so just ask!

We are about 15-20 minutes away from the town of Alton. The cabin is also about a mile down dirt road. There's not any real close neighbors so you're left alone to enjoy the quiet!

This is a very cute and fun little 1-bedroom, 1-bath cabin located in the Ozark hills! It is part of a group of 6 cabins (with plans for 6 more) called "Village of Hope". All of the cabins have been built since 2008 and they all have modern amenities including electricity, hot water, toilets, showers, WiFi, and both heating and air conditioning. All of the cabins also have a microwave, small refrigerator, and a coffee pot.

The space
The cabins are built with a cute and fun "hillbilly style" to provide guests with a comfortable, fun, and unique regional experience. They are truly a very cute, unique, and comfortable mix of "hillbilly style" with modern amenities! The cabins help tourists to get a real and authentic sense of the region and its "hillbilly heritage" while enjoying the peaceful and pristine beauty of the Ozarks!

The cabins are built on a beautiful hillside on part of the 58-acre grounds of Teen Harvest Youth Ranch, a Christian ministry for children, teens, and families. The cabins are used for family ministry, but are offered for rent on days when they are not in use for ministry. The rental of the cabins helps to financially support the wonderful ministry of Teen Harvest Youth Ranch. All of the cabins are filled with Christian artwork and Christian decorations. As part of a Christian camp, neither smoking nor alcohol consumption are permitted anywhere on the property.

The rental of the cabin allows guests to also use other items on the grounds including the outdoor firepit, outdoor picnic table, outdoor basketball court, and indoor game / fitness room in the basement of "The Big House" on the property. Guests are also welcome to hike and explore the 58-acre property. Large groups are very welcome and are invited to rent all 6 cabins for church retreats, family reunions, youth trips, business retreats, or other family-friendly events. With the rental of all 6 cabins, guests are also provided with usage of the large commercial kitchen and dining table that is in The Big House as well as the large indoor conference and meeting room that is in the office building on the property.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire cabin, all of the exterior grounds on the property, and the game and fitness room that is in the basement of "the big house", where the ministry directors live.

Other things to note
The cabins are on the grounds of a Christian family camp, so there are some special rules. Please note the "Policies and Rules" for this property accordingly.

This cozy little cabin is located just .3 miles from Montauk State Park, and the river is just a quick walk down the hill. It sits beside a larger house that is not always occupied. The beautiful Current River has some of the best trout and fly fishing in the Midwest. Montauk is known for the fantastic fishing, canoeing, hiking, biking, swimming, and caving. We now offer shuttle service to the river and from the airport. The hot tub is temporarily closed because of the Covid.

The space
A larger house next door is available for rental as well. The cabin has access to the large private deck and venue space and hot tub attached to the house that can be used as an activity venue for friends and family if the house is not rented. There is some problem with phone access with phones other than AT and T because of the remote location. Wildlife is plentiful, including some recent bear sightings.

Guest access
Guests have access to the cabin and all the things in the kitchen for cooking they need. This includes a hot plate, a microwave oven, an air cooker, and outdoor grill. It can sleep 2 people comfortably and has a loft as well that is perfect for someone small. They also have an area to park their car.

Other things to note
In the cabin there is bed space for three people. The full bed has a bunk bed on top. The loft has a full mattress that people can sleep on, but it is a small space and might be difficult for some adults to get into because of the ladder. I have had several fishermen sleep there and they seemed ok with it, but it is a small space. You can enjoy the outdoor amenities, however.

Sage Cabin is a rustic but clean, comfortable refuge surrounded by peaceful nature, within a 30-60 minute drive of several National Scenic Rivers and Ozark attractions like trails, springs and old mills. Just a short walk across the retreat center campus is an outdoor dining patio area where there is wifi and a beautiful view of 3 acre Lake Ananda Kanan. The Lake itself has a trail around it, a canoe, and a dock for swimming or fishing.

The space
Ananda Kanan is a spiritual retreat center, and has been is use for over 30 years by people seeking higher consciousness. This makes it an ideal space for people looking to connect with themselves and with nature.

Guest access
Guests staying in the cabins have access to classes in meditation and yoga or art. Guests are free to use the trails in the woods and around the pond, as well as the outdoor cafe area with wifi. Near to the cabin is an outdoor pickleball court in a beautiful natural setting. There is also an indoor court in case of weather.

Majestic Oaks Hatchers cabin is tucked back into the big oak trees, but close to pool and other amenities. Our guests are welcomed to join us for ALL campground activities.
Hatchers is a 4 person cabin with queen bed & two twin bunks, breakfast table, sink, mini fridge, AC/heat, and WIFI TV. Campground has a refreshing pool, walking trails, firewood & ice for purchase, WIFI, camp store and more!
NOTE: no bathroom in cabin, but the bathhouse is a short 30 second trail walk away.

The fully furnished log cabin will sleep 5 to 6 adults comfortably with one queen and three twin beds. Additional amenities include: full refrigerator, new stove, microwave, coffee pot, washer/dryer and small TV. There is a full bathroom downstairs with shower and bath tub.

The cabin is on a working ranch surrounded by woods and pastures with food plots and wildlife ponds. It is a great place for 4-wheeling. We are very near 2 rivers which are great for kayaking.

The space
The cabin was built in 2009 with local timber. It has an open floor plan with a full bathroom. The kitchen has a new stove and full size refrigerator. The furnishings, beds, and bedding are all new. The cabin has a private drive, parking space, and a nice outdoor fire pit. It sits on a hillside surrounded by forest land. Also the cabin is a great place for a romantic getaway or a break from the fast pace of the city.

The cabin, lawn, and fire pit are yours to enjoy during your stay. The 800 acres around the cabin is a working cattle ranch which can be accessed with additional arrangements.

Other things to note
There are a couple great restaurant/bar in the neighboring area. Of course you may bring food to prepare at the cabin. The cabin has a coffee pot.

Fisherwaters Resort has a beautiful fishing dock with two bays attached to a large boat dock with 10'x20' slips. Other amenities include a boat ramp, swim platform, picnic tables, fire pits, bamboo garden, gorgeous natural stone formations and hand built rock stairways. This cabin has GORGEOUS newly refinished original hardwood floors! Cabin 4 is equipped with a Weber Grill, fridge, microwave and four burner gas range/oven. Kitchen also includes coffee pot, toaster, standard cookware, utensils and dishes. Towels and linens are also provided. Our property does NOT have WIFI, cable or satellite. The cabin does have a new TV with a DVD player and DVDs you can borrow upon request. Cell phone service is spotty for some carriers. Enjoy the peace and quite of this secluded property while you connect with nature and your loved ones.

Clean up & put up of All meal prep items are guest responsibility. Bed/pillow linens , towels(bath/hand) are to be piled up & owners will collect after departure for cleaning.
Hospital (Texas County Memorial Hospital) & Urgent Care available in Houston , north on Hwy 63, on left side traveling North. Also Urgent Care in Mt Grove, West on Hwy 60 toward Springfield, get off Mt Grove exit, turn left, go across overpass, turn left onto Frontage Rd., go down about 1/4 mile on the right.
