There is free parking on our private driveway and it's van accessible. There is an RV stationed there with no one living in it but you have plenty of space to park 2 vehicles.

Come stay at Dad's fishing cabin on the Trout oasis of the Ozarks-- Lake Taneycomo. Rockaway Beach, a hidden gem, was the former playground to the Rich and Famous of the 20th century. President Truman, Al Capone and JP Morgan are just a few of the names that vacationed in this resort village. 23 minutes to Silver Dollar City and 19 minutes to the Branson Landing.

Welcome to our charming lakeside retreat! Our goal is to provide you with the cozy feel of Dad's fishing cabin and Mom's vintage 1950s kitchen. With modern amenities paired with nostalgic décor, we offer the perfect balance of comfort and a trip down memory lane. Here’s everything you need to know about our home:

Kitchen:
Fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including full-sized appliances: fridge, stove, oven, toaster, and microwave. Our coffee station is stocked with a regular coffee pot, Folgers coffee grounds, creamer, sugars, tea, and hot cocoa. We also provide all the essentials for home-cooked meals, including plates, silverware, bowls, pots and pans, cups, coffee mugs, and cooking utensils, as well as spices. Dish soap, a sponge, and a dish drying rack are also provided.

Bathrooms:
Our full bathroom is equipped with a shower and comes stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and soap. There is also a convenient half bath with a toilet and sink in the kids' room. We supply two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom for your stay, along with plenty of bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths.

Living Room:
Relax in the spacious living room, furnished with four chairs and a cozy loveseat, including two rocking chairs. For entertainment, enjoy our TV with cable and streaming services, or challenge your family to a game at the vintage card table. Stay comfortable with central AC and heating, plus extra fans available for your convenience.

Bedroom:
The main bedroom features two medium-firm queen beds with soft linens and blankets, providing a restful sleep in a bright, airy room with a stunning view of Lake Taneycomo. A privacy curtain divides the two beds. A dresser offers extra blankets and plenty of space to unpack or use the suitcase rack. Each of the four nightstands has convenient lighting and charging outlets.

For the Kiddos:
The second bedroom is perfect for kids with three twin bunk beds, each with linens and blankets. There's a TV with DVD player and Netflix, along with a selection of children’s books. Additional blankets are available in the white cupboard, and a Pack 'n Play for infants is stored under one of the queen beds.

Outdoor Space:
Step outside to enjoy beautiful views and fresh air on the large deck, featuring a patio table with six chairs. Unwind in the private, year-round hot tub just off the porch (please keep the temperature between 100-104°F). The property shares a dock, charcoal grill, and fire pit with the smaller cabin on the property. Please bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid for the grill. The dock is open year-round, perfect for fishing, docking your boat, or simply relaxing while observing local wildlife. We offer several kayaks for guest use, along with life jackets for all sizes (please note that lake activities are at your own risk).

Additionally, we rent out our 8-person pontoon boat from the dock! If you'd like to reserve it during your stay, just send us a message.

Pets:
We welcome pets for a small fee, which helps cover cleaning costs (pet damage is not included). Pets must be supervised at all times and cannot be left alone in the cabin. They must stay off the furniture and beds, and be kept in a kennel when you're not around. Please keep your pet on a leash outside and clean up after them to ensure a pleasant experience for all guests.

Special Events Package:
While we don’t permit large gatherings or unapproved guests, we’d love to help make your special occasion unforgettable! Whether you're celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or another milestone, our Special Events Package includes a cake, card, and décor to make your celebration extra special. For just $50, we’ll prepare everything before you check in. To order, message us with your event details, preferred colors or themes (for the kids, include their favorite cartoon characters), cake flavor, and any message you'd like on the card. We’ll confirm the guest count to ensure we have enough cake, and request payment to secure the package. Surprise your loved ones with a memorable celebration during your stay!

There is a second smaller cabin on the property that may also be rented. Both cabins share parking, dock, fire pit, and charcoal grill. There are several kayaks and a canoe for your use. They are in the parking area. Please be aware that these are shared with the other cabin and that other guests may want to utilize all our amenities. Quiet hours: midnight- 7 AM. Please be aware that other guests are on property. If you are outside during quiet hours, you need to be quiet so you won’t disturb others from their sleep.

Guests can access the laundry room. Please reach out for the door code. Please use own detergent and be courteous of housekeeping/ other guests whose items may be in there. Move things from washer to dryer, dryer to basket.

Other things to note
There is a set of stairs from driveway to front door.

This is a residential area so no parties, loud music, or unregistered guests.

No smoking in the house. There is a $100 fine if smoke or marijuana is detected in the house.

Joe is available via phone or Airbnb messages. Bri is cohost and will be the main point of contact on Airbnb. Bri and her cleaners will be on property a bit throughout your stay to check on the property, do laundry, or check the hot tub. If you have any questions, issues, or concerns, please reach out on Airbnb so we can best help you, resolve the issue, and keep your fun vacation going! If you do find an issue at the home, please let us know as soon as possible. If you wait to inform us of an issue, we can not guarantee that we can fix the issue before check out so it is in your best interest to let us know of any issues as you find them so we can best help! Under no circumstances will a partial or full refund or relocation of guests be guaranteed. We will work to fix any equipment or amenity failure before or during a stay but can not guarantee that a guest will receive a refund for such issues. If we find something not working properly before check in, guests will be notified asap so they can decide if they want to keep their reservation. We work so hard to make sure the Airbnb stays rent ready so all can enjoy and make great memories so we will always do everything we can to ensure all equipment and amenities are ready for every stay!

You will be issued a personal code to access the front door the day before you arrive. This code is unique to you and will only work for the duration of your stay. Our cabin is located on a large property with 4 other cabins spaced out. Feel free to walk around and enjoy nature while respecting others.

Charming One-Bedroom Cabin – Perfect for a Romantic Airbnb Getaway!

This delightful one-bedroom cabin, originally built in 1925, has been a beloved romantic retreat ever since. It's the ideal Airbnb getaway for couples seeking relaxation and cozy charm.

Bedroom Comfort: The bedroom features a full-sized bed with cozy linens, ensuring a restful night's sleep. A pullout couch is available in the living room for additional guests. We are ready to accommodate up to 4 guests with this space. Extra fresh linens and pillows for the pullout are conveniently stored in the closet. The bedroom also boasts a walk-in closet with plenty of clothes hangers, making it easy to settle in. For your convenience, we’ve included a yoga mat and some weights for a quick workout. The bedroom has its own AC unit, while the rest of the cabin stays cool with a mini-split system.
Relax and Unwind: While the cabin does not offer WiFi, the living room has a variety of entertainment options, including a TV, DVD player, and a selection of board games. On chilly evenings, you can snuggle up by the electric fireplace while enjoying your favorite movies.
Cozy bathroom: this small bathroom offers lots of cozy towels for all guests. We have soaps and 3 rolls of toilet paper for your use. Great water pressure and hot water in the stand up shower.
Fully Equipped Kitchen: The kitchen comes complete with an electric stove and oven, as well as an array of seasonings to help you prepare delicious meals. There's also a full-sized fridge and freezer, microwave, coffee maker, and a Keurig coffee pot. You'll find all the dishes, silverware, and cookware you need to feel right at home.
Outdoor Enjoyment: Step outside onto the patio and take in the stunning views of the rustic hills surrounding our cabin. We provide a small BBQ charcoal grill, along with several comfortable patio chairs. For added comfort, blue and white cushions are available in the closet—just be sure to store them away when you're done.
House Rules:
-This cabin does allow up to 2 pets for $100 fee- please keep them on a leash outside, keep pet messes cleaned up, keep them off the furniture, and do not leave them unattended in the unit without crating. Please make sure they go potty frequently so they don’t make a mess on the original hardwood floors.
-Smoking is not permitted inside the cabin; however, smoking is allowed outside. Please be mindful of keeping all windows and doors closed to prevent smoke from entering. A $100 fine will apply if there is any evidence of smoking or marijuana inside.
-Check-in is anytime after 4 PM, and check-out is by 11 AM. We ask that you take out the trash, wash and leave the dishes to dry, and lock up when you leave. Any personal belongings left behind after 4 PM on the day of check-out will be donated to the local domestic violence shelter.

The wildlife may be different than you are used to. Be aware of wild animals like snakes, deer, or large cats. They are beautiful to watch in the woods but dangerous so stay alert when outside.
We have the cabin on a regular monthly pest control schedule to help minimize the possibility of insects or critters. However our lake community has some unavoidable insects. You may occasionally run into some critters or insects in or around the cabin. If this is a concern for you, you may want to book further from the lake.
