The only problem we had with it was when my wife woke in the middle of the night and found the front door was open to the outside. We pulled the door extra hard to engage the lock, but she stayed uneasy the rest of the trip. I would suggest an entry system that includes a dead bolt. Grilling your favorite meals & sitting on the porch is all you need after a day filled with adventure on Greers Ferry Lake, hiking the many trails to the caves and waterfalls or just hanging on the beach just steps away from the back porch.

The drive to our private neighborhood is a gravel road, curvy and the switchback down the hill is very steep. Guest and their company must drive with caution and safety in mind. All renters are responsible and assume any and all risk of damages while on the private drive and on the surrounding property during their stay. Rental host, property owners and HOA will not be held responsible for any reason. This listing shares the driveway down to property, parking spaces and access stairs to the lake. There is plenty of parking available for all.

This 2,800 sq ft home has 4 bedrooms (1 king, 2 queens, 2 sets of bunk beds and a sofa sleeper) for a total of 12 guests. The kitchen was recently updated with all new stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops. There is a fire pit, ping-pong table, pool table, dart board, two tandem kayaks, a canoe and waterfront access to Greer's Ferry - bring your water inflatables! High-speed internet available.

The space
The top tier of the porch is perfect for sunbathing while the bottom screened porch offers a bug-free, shaded experience. The property is secluded--adjacent to 150 acres of undeveloped forest--yet, about 3 miles from Cove Creek Campground which boasts a public boat ramp and sandy beach. In addition to the lake, there's great hiking, fishing and floating in the Little Red River, and the restaurants of Heber Springs a short drive away. The .25 mile drive from the top of the bluff down to the cabin is a very steep, winding, asphalt road; for your safety, we recommend you plan to make your inaugural trip in the daylight. This spacious cabin is located on the Fat Possum Hollow property which is a locally known 250 acre trout fishing resort. It has everything from wide open fields to wooded trails so bring your kayaks, fishing poles and carrots for the horses in the pasture!
The cabin is also available for weekly lease’s.

The space
Enter into an open floor plan. On the main level there is the living/dining room and Kitchen. There are 2 queen bedrooms with a full bathroom in one hallway. The other hallway holds 1 guest bedroom that has two twin beds, a game room with a pool table and a half bath that includes the washer and dryer.

Take the stairway that leads to a stunning catwalk. The catwalk connects two separate King master suites. They both have access their own private bathroom with custom tile showers. They also both include a coffee bar. The master bedroom closest to the stairway has it's own private balcony that has a wonderful view of the Sugar Loaf Mountain.

Escape to this charming handcrafted cabin overlooking mountainous Heber Springs, Arkansas, and Greers Ferry Lake.

Nestled on top of Round Mountain, you’ll find peace and quiet & a view you could stare at for days. A scenic drive down the mountain and you’ll find yourself in Downtown Heber Springs. You’re just a short distance to a number of trails, waterfalls, the marinas, the sandy beach, lake access, and convenient shopping.

The space
This charming cabin features 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.

On the main level is a master bedroom with a queen bed and en-suite bathroom (and plenty of room for the pac-n-play), the living area, kitchen and access to the wrap-around deck.

The upper level has two split bedrooms, one with 4 twin beds and the other with a queen and an en-suite half bath.

The lower level includes another master with 2 queen beds and ensuite bathroom, a living area with games and television, a small bar with sink, pool table and laundry room as well as access to another large deck and covered picnic table.

The kitchen is fully equipped for all of your needs. There is a crockpot and an air fryer. It does have a K-Cup coffee maker, complimentary k-cups for your use and a regular carafe coffee maker.

Guest access
You're just ten minutes away from Greers Ferry Lake. There are also tons of trails nearby, some with waterfalls, and of course there's always Sugar Loaf Mountain for a good hiking and rock climbing experience!

Whether you're enjoying the water and beach in the summer, or doing some fishing in the fall/winter, this house is the perfect place to relax.

The Little Red River is great to kayak, canoe, and/or trout fish, along with the famous Greers Ferry Lake!

Canoes/kayaks can be rented from Sulfur Creek Outfitters in town, and they even have a shuttle bus to take you to and from your choice of water :) There's plenty of local fishing guides too if you're interested.

Other things to note
* The water comes from a well, not from the city. We recommend using filtered water from the kitchen sink for drinking or purchasing drinking water.

* It's a real, HAND-BUILT—log cabin. And with hand-built things - there are a few small, "features," to be aware of. For instance, there are a couple of places you will need to watch your head, such as going into the upstairs bedrooms, and also on the stairs going into the basement/game room. These areas are marked with high visibility tape.

* You're surrounded by a wooded area so with that comes things that live in the woods. You might see a random animal with four legs pass by--usually a deer, but never a bear... Again, it's the woods, so be on the lookout if you stray from the house.

* You're conveniently less than ten minutes from town and Greers Ferry lake, but keep in mind you're on a mountain. If it happens to snow or ice, plan on making some hot chocolate and staying at the house for the day. There is plenty to do inside the cabin!

The space
This luxury cabin features 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths.

On the main level the Master Bedroom has a King bed with attached en suite and a bunk room with two sets of bunk beds attached to a TV room, living room, kitchen and full bathroom.

Upstairs has two rooms. The first sits riverside and has a king size bed and incredible views of the river. The second room upstairs is a large loft with two queen sized beds, and a sitting area that includes a TV.

The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs! New stainless steel appliances, microwave, toaster oven, drip coffee maker, dishes, flatware, pots and pans! To the side of the house we have a charcoal grill (please bring your own charcoal), fire pit and outdoor table.

The Cabin sits 2 minutes from
The swinging bridge boat launch on the Little Red River and 10 minutes from
sandy Beach and 10 minutes from Walmart.

Guest access
Out the back door is the beautiful Little Red River where you can try your luck, or your skill at catching the worlds largest Trout. The world record brown trout 40 lbs, 4 ounces was caught here in 1992. The record stood until 2009. Care to try your hand at setting a new record?

The river is also great for canoes and kayaks! We do not currently have water access from the property. We are on the waiting list to have the back of the property rocked on. Currently the drop off is pretty steep so please stay away from
the edge. Just down the river past the little brown cabins (maybe a block walk) is wading access to the river. Access is between the brown cabins and the main road. The boat ramp to access the river is just diagonal across the river (you can see it from the back porch). The space across the river is owned by the core of engineers and is undeveloped leaving a beautiful backdrop and no neighbors across the river.

It is important to note that the river is extremely cold, even in summer months and not generally suitable for swimming or wading without protection. Close by Greers Ferry Lake has fantastic swimming options.
