I dropped by this home one morning, thinking with the lake low that there wouldn't be much to see; was I ever wrong!!!! Ducks, egrets, herons and even pelicans were .EVERYWHERE! If you enjoy wildlife and especially bird watching, then you are gonna' love this little home.
' The home is minutes away from UCA campus and Hendrix University, just off I-40, and a 20 minute commute to Little Rock. Yet for all its convenience, the morning sunrises over Lake Conway will put your mind into another place and time. The backyard is restful, and Lawrence Landing is just three blocks away, if you have a small boat or kayak. The lake is a Arkansas Game and Fish establishment, and currently under renovation, but across from the home on the other side of the lake is over 4000 acres of G & F property with walking and riding trails, along with a self driving guided tour on many graveled and paved roads
Off season activities are also varied. Birdwatching is great in winter months---or anytime for that matter. White pelicans use the lake during migration, and usually can be seen in the hundreds! Also present are egrets, great blue heron, various species of ducks, and across the lake on the East side of the lake you can watch land birds at The Camp Robinson Special Use Area.

Our little home features two bedrooms with king bed in each, and has additional sleeping but not so private for two in the sunroom. It is equipped with central heat and air, and the kitchen is well furnished with microwave, range, fridge and dishwasher. Yes, there is a coffeemaker, and complimentary breakfast treats on your first morning. There is high-speed wi-fi in the house for your games or laptops, with HBO max and Paramount plus premium channels complimentary, as well as access to local channels. We have a cozy living room with flat-screen, with 28 and 32 inch flat-screens in each bedroom, and just across the threshold is a view to die for in a large glassed-in sunroom. Outdoors you will find lawn chairs, portable grill, and a restful view year round.

Nearby conveniences include Dollar General, just two miles away, and closer still is fuel and convenience store. Worth mentioning is Taylor's Made Restaurant, a great place to eat and drink, and on weekends some great local music. Sam's club is just one exit North or about 4 miles. Kohl's, Target, Best Buy and other shopping, along with McDonald's, Colton's, Golden Corral, and other restaurants are six miles North off I-40. (Highway 64 or Oak St exiit.

Our rustic private guest cabin, fashioned in a charming farm-style, is nestled on a picturesque 10-acre expanse within the confines of Faulkner County, Arkansas. Here, amidst the serene natural surroundings, guests are invited to partake in a range of idyllic activities, including stargazing from a comfortable hammock and indulging in the timeless pleasure of roasting s’mores by a crackling fire. This respite offers a distinct opportunity to disconnect from the demands of modern life, allowing for a profound sense of relaxation and rejuvenation.

The property boasts a unique assortment of inhabitants, including two guardian peacocks and a handful of free-spirited guinea fowl. In proximity to the main residence, one can encounter a lively community of chickens, turkeys, more guinea fowl, and quail, coexisting harmoniously with the host’s amiable pair of large dogs. Additionally, the property serves as a home to a herd of sheep and goats, thoughtfully cared for and raised.

You'll enjoy this cozy cottage when you stay here. Bruce and Cindy built this from the ground up and have several acres of land to enjoy. On the grounds you will find semi-free-roaming chickens (don't worry, they won't bite) and a loving cat named Sunny and a little cavapoo dog named Stewby. The cabin backs up to a wooded area, so even thought you are only minutes from shopping, parks, Beaverfork Lake, and many other attractions, it feels like you are in the country.

The space
This is a small house with a loft upstairs. The loft is unavailable for guests as we don’t have a safe enough stair for access. The cabin features 2 bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, and bathroom. Total it is about 600 square feet.
The Cozy Cabin has 2 bedrooms, one with queen bed and one with a twin. We have a pack and play available for babies

Guest access
You get the entire cabin to yourselves. Bruce and Cindy live in the bigger house in front of the cozy cabin. If you need anything, we are just a shout (or a door knock) away!
