- "Beautiful views. Tough to get to. This is a good choice in season. Overall clean but be prepared for a "farm feel." " - "Upon arrival, they allowed us to check in early which was very nice as we were exhausted. We were shown to our room which was spacious and had its own bathroom. After a couple hours nap, we walked around the house to check out the property which was unkept. I don’t know if they maintain it better in the summer, but going at the end of the “off season” it was looking a little rough. Come bed time, it was very cold in our room. There were radiant heaters but they didn’t work. My husband is usually very warm and he was even shivering when he had to get out of the bed. They definitely had a fire going in the main part of the house as it smelled smokey when we went to check out. Also, at around 10:30pm whomever lives next to the room we were in, turned a TV on with the volume quite high. This kept us up until about 2:15am when it was finally shut off. So overall, some good, some not so good. We won’t be back."

- "My family and I have just returned from a wonderful stay at Villa Gilda. The villa is spacious and very private. We rented the main apartment and the smaller Casetta for nine days. Both were immaculately clean and very spacious. With sole use of the pool and garden we made the most of the great facilities provided, including table tennis and table football. The villa is a great base for anyone wanting to explore Lake Bracciano and the surrounding area. Not keen drivers when abroad, we opted to explore on foot. Bracciano town is about 40 minutes walk away and its castle and historic centre are well worth a visit. The nearby lakeside village of Aguillara, as well as Rome and Viterbo can all be reached by train from Bracciano. There are lots of great dining options in Bracciano as well as two very good local restaurants a short 5 minute walk from the villa. Our special thanks go to Anna who was the most accommodating host we have ever known. Her attention to all our needs made the stay truly exceptional, helping us arrange trips and even taking us to the local supermarket, without ever being intrusive. As I began looking thru the various options I came across Villa Clodia in Manziana. What a beautiful gem. My family and I were welcomed with open arms. We enjoyed a beautiful lunch on arrival at with our host Leonardo. That was as the beginning of a month long dream come true. As we departed we felt like we were leaving our beautiful home and new family in Italy. All 14 of us hope to some day visit again. I highly recommend Villa Clodia and definitely give our stay 5 stars ."
