- "Excellent " - "La Tenuta di Rocca Bruna Country Resort is a beautiful property. The grounds are large really impressive. Our room was simple, but clean. A typical hotel room - just as we expected. We booked this resort because it was a good value and walkable to Hadrian’s Villa. If you don’t have a car, you will need to arrange transport to Villa d’Estes - which was a surprisingly delightful visit. We came for Hadrian’s place, thought it wa great; but we’re blown away by the gardens and fountains at Villa d’Este. The resort features a large restaurant - and if during the warmer months, they have outdoor seating. The restaurant has a fine menu. Breakfast was included in our stay and we enjoyed what was offered. All in all, a great stay at a great property. "

It is located on the second and last floor of an medieval building of the typical via del Riserraglio, in one of the most ancient districts of the city where there was the Roman era forum and where, in the Middle Ages, there were flourishing handicraft workshops and big papermaking factories. The flat has been finely renovated and furnished taking great care of the details, trying to recreate, where it was possible, a medieval style furniture. It has a beautiful high ceiling with terracotta tiles, authentic beams and wooden truss beams, and parquet. The wooden furniture, the light fixtures, the lanterns, the copper and wrought iron torches are all craftsman works, as well as the doors, faithful reproductions of ancient models with typical bolts. - "Worked out great host was very nice and had some great tips that helped us out when visiting the gardens - we were able to visit Tivoli at night when it was not 102F /40C. Great that each bedroom had a desk fan which were life savers. But it is true, I read in a previous review— for whatever reason there is no middle ground when taking a shower you either get all hot or all cold I’ve never come across a shower with such an amazing temperament. But hey it is a city known for its astonishing waterworks!"
