- "Overall, the property was clean. During booking I was not aware that this was a basement unit with the main house also being occupied. It was also not noted in the description that there were large, akward steps and a sharp downslope to get to the unit. This is not somewhere I would recommend for anyone with limited mobility. The internet did not work. The door would not stay closed unless it was locked, which I found odd. The other thing I noticed was that being in the basement, all of the heating/cooling/electrical was there. Even though it was behind some slatted closet doors, there was a loud electrical/humming noise the entire stay. There are no screens on windows, so if you want fresh air, you get bugs too. The kitchen is tiny with no oven or dishwasher, or other items you commonly find, such as foil or plastic wrap. The grill worked well. There was no welcome book with instructions, directions, or communications. The other tenants were nice, but I could hear every step they took. There is no warmth to the space and the bathroom is very outdated. There was also limited parking. I had to call the owner to figure out where to park because of the other tenants and they asled me to park in front of a fire hydrant. Overall, would not stay here again. It was an absolute rip off."

We are waterfront, with Mt. Rainier views! Zero minutes drive to the beach: don't let AI fool you! Warm water tubing in the shallow Bay is just around the corner! The Camano Beach Cabin is a waterfront, quaint, cozy log home just an hour from Seattle. No ferry lines here, drive right onto Camano Island and start enjoying life on the beach, just out the back door. The Cabin has two bedrooms and one bath, in a cozy 1000 square feet, perfect for couples, or small families looking to escape city living. The master bedroom has a queen bed and direct access to the bath. The second bedroom has a bunk bed: single mattress on top; full mattress below, with access to the bath across the hall. All bedding and towels are provided.
The kitchen has the pots, pans and utensils you will need to prepare a meal, or enjoy some of the restaurants on Camano, or in Stanwood. Please use the map to the right to locate shops, restaurants and other nearby attractions.
Outdoor living is what this cabin is all about! Few areas on Camano offer shallow water that gets warm enough to swim and tube in (tubes included). Expansive decks and a 'boardwalk' leading to the cabin make this experience unique. Deck boards a bit uneven and worn; nice fire pit and comfortable lounging chairs. BBQ clean and worked well. As mentioned in a couple reviews, we also found white dog hair....all over the sheets and pillow cases upper bedroom. (Owner's dog or frequent renter?) An unwelcome surprise at bedtime. Had to wash the sheets. Otherwise the place was very clean. Could use some more kitchen towels. Not much in the way of pantry items. Tiny "starters" dishwasher pods, shampoos, paper towels,etc. OK for us for 3 nights but suggest rental agency provide supplies based on # of days rented. No one wants to have to go to the market for dishwasher pods. As mentioned in a few reviews: the lock key-pad is finicky. We got the hang of it but could be very frustrating if you are needing to get inside quickly upon arrival. Brick walkway to house has hazard sign; uneven broken bricks. Walk on lawn instead. Met friendly neighbor. Quiet residential. No beach access. Small but well stocked market (Huntington) within 3 minutes. Binoculars provided and spotted lots bald eagles. Saw space station and a billion stars. Enjoyed the serenity. VACASA/VRBO very responsive."

You wont be disappointed in this home. Bright, airy, well decorated and very well appointed home with a beautiful yard and beach access (just a short walk through the gate and down a small hill). This home is 2 bed and 2 bath a beautiful yard with plenty of room for outdoor grilling and relaxing. The kitchen is as loaded as your very own and will not disappoint. This property is on a quiet road with a peak a boo look at the water.

It's a low-bank beachfront house with beautiful decks for relaxation.

This is a unique 5 story property. Lots of windows and decks are great for enjoying the views. While the house is spacious and comfortable, the maximum of 4 guests is firm (due to limited septic capacity & neighborhood regulations) and the house is best enjoyed by adults and older children. There are no child safety features inside or on any of the decks or stairs. We only offer the 2 king beds, no additional hide-a-beds, etc. The house has a VERY open feel. The only interior doors are on the bathrooms.

Ground Floor = locked storage
2nd Floor = bedroom with king bed and 3/4 bath
3rd Floor = kitchen, living, and dining rooms, 1/2 bath
4th Floor = open master suite loft with king bed and master bath
5th Floor = small loft - currently empty

Complete kitchen with modern stainless steel appliances, outdoor gas bbq grill, big screen TV on main floor, 2nd flat screen tv in master bedroom and wifi. Water softener and reverse osmosis purification for drinking water. Large soaking tub and shower in master suite. Lower level bedroom has it own private bath and shower. The cabin itself is finished in knotty pine and timbers for a unique cabin feel. The cabin is west facing for spectacular sunsets from any of the 3 large deck areas.

Please note because of the close proximity to the beach with our small fresh water well we are unable to provide laundry services. We sincerely appreciate your efforts in the conservation of fresh water.

The beach is spectacular. The bay is designated as a wildlife preserve (Owned by The Whidbey/Camano Land Trust) where migrating birds pass through every year. Miles of quiet beach to walk, some sandy, some rocky, always lots of driftwood to check out. The tide fluctuates dramatically so when the tide is very low, you are able to walk and explore across the entire bay. Bring your stand-up paddle board or use our 2 sit-on-top kayaks to explore even more of this beautiful secluded bay. A fantastic and easy get away. It's a wonderful San Juan Island cabin, accessed without requiring a ferry ride. 15 minutes from Interstate 5.

It’s decorated in a comfortable and cozy beach style. You can relax the minute you arrive.

We appreciated the wealth of information about the area that the host provided. The bay that the house is on is a hoot -- it almost completely drains during low tide. We did not use the kayaks but were thankful for the advice to check the tide table before venturing out. The house is bright, the beds are comfortable, the outdoor grill worked well and the kitchen is well stocked. Although our stay was short (only 3 nights), we left feeling relaxed, content, and well rested."
