This “aerial lift” of a cabin takes its name from the Sky Ride concession that operated at Palo Duro Canyon State Park in the 1960’s. The original ride’s abutment is sitting next to this cabin reminiscent of the good-old-by-gone-days when station wagons and family vacations were the norm, and state parks were a favorite place to take them. - "Great return trip to Nocona. Beverly is a wonderful host. Greeted us with guacamole and margaritas! Home is comfortable, stocked with whatever you may need, and nicely decorated. We enjoyed visiting barbary sheep and birds - very peaceful. Enjoyed the Texas musical, canyon jeep tour, and Midpoint Cafe on route 66. Honey buzz winery was great too. Next trip, hope to tour the local museum and get back to local shops. Thanks again for a great trip!"
