I do wish I had known there was no elevator when I accepted a second floor room, but the staircase was wide enough that I was able to lug my big suitcase upstairs without too much trouble. The only thing I really wish I could change about the room was the AC unit. It was necessary to use, but quite loud. We decided it was less disruptive to just leave the fan on for consistency of noise, rather than risk being woken up by it turning on & off. The benefit of this was we didn’t really hear noise from other guests, or even the fireworks someone was setting off somewhere nearby."

The cabin is a three bedroom and two bath, which is great for family trips or just a weekend getaway. The park itself consists of 6,400 acres in northeastern Missouri and is made up of limestone bluffs, forest hills and Lake Lincoln which spans 55 acres. We highly suggest; hiking, biking, running, kayaking, fishing, and taking pictures in the park. Make sure to bring your bike, kayak or fishing gear to have the best time possible while at our park side cabin. Our park side cabin has a simi stocked kitchen to help improve your stay.

- "A beautiful house and great host that was easy to contact and quick to respond to any messages we sent. Location is great for exploring Cuivre River State Park." - "Great place to rent for a few days. It was very clean, the hosts provided us with delicious muffins. They also provided all the basics including everything you could need in the kitchen, a washer/dryer and a charcoal grill outside. A few things to note, which are more of a heads up, nothing against the hosts or the cabin. There is only one tv, the cabin is very close to the road which was busy (guessing that was due to it being Memorial Day weekend) and the thermostat was set to where it couldn't go below 70 degrees, this left the house a little warmer than we are used to, especially upstairs. This is a beautiful home in the middle of 90+ acres of valleys, rolling hills, operational pumpkin and hops farm with lots of walking trails through wooded acreage and wonderful views. Pond, creek for fishing. Includes large deck off family room and private deck off master suite. Great way to get away from the city and enjoy lots of space.

Cozy, newly remolded house on historic main street is within walking distance of business district which includes buildings from the 1800's. Walk through the old courthouse dating back from 1822, Woods Fort, Britton House, and Hechler Hardware from 1891 is a must see while you are visiting. Local shopping and restaurants are located on main street. Home is located a short drive from Cuivre River State Park.
Historic pictures from 1800's are displayed throughout our home. Kitchen includes new appliances and all necessities, living room is setup with TV cable and Wi-Fi, both bedrooms are comfortable with new Sterns and Foster mattresses and back porch includes seating with charcoal grill. Comfortable size dining area can be used as workspace too. There is a queen size inflatable mattress for two additional guests.

The cutest little birdhouse. Our two bedroom birdhouse has 3 adult bunks in one room, and a queen bed in the other making it fun to reconnect with friends or family. Relax at the hot tub that is shared by two Birdhouses and is for renters only. Or play a card game in the cozy living room while bird watching out the picture windows. Turn off the phones and world, just take in nature in a rocking chair. You can drive, hike or bring a bike to travel to the State Park.

Check in would have been a breeze except the key was not inside the lock box when we arrived....but the owner responded quickly and gave us a code to get in within minutes so it was not really an issue. We were busy with wedding related events so did not spend too much time there other than sleeping but it looked like it would have been a great location for people to get together and just hang out there! It was pretty well stocked and we had everything we needed."

Fully appointed kitchen. Dining room is set up well for a relaxing family meal. Living room is stylish, comfortable and so far all of our guest hated to leave and even extended thier stays when we could !!!

- "What a delightful home. Our family was in town for a wrestling camp. The location was about 13 min away from the camp. The home was VERY CLEAN, kitchen well stocked with seasonings, plastic baggies, foil, all the dishware and cookware you need. The dining room seated 6-8 people which was great. We do alot of cooking when we travel. The living room is super comfy and the bedrooms are very nice. The master bath has a spa-like shower! The area is very quiet and although there is a "chicken/farm/cow" theme to the house, everything was modern and up to date. The host was extremely responsive. We had a change in our schedule and he accommodated us right away. He was very gracious. Check out instructions were very simple (pile the dirty towels and throw out the trash). I ended up doing all the dishes anyway but it was not required. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this home. We had a lovely stay."
