The owners were extremely attentive and helped us with every aspect of our stay including guidance to the local dining and activities. The hotel has a small fine dining restaurant where we had a great dinner one evening. There is also a bar with nice selection of wine and spirits and some snacks which is open until midnight. Pretty much everything of interest in Chambery is withinin 10 minutes walk of the hotel. Plenty of small boutiques, bars and restaurants.There are also a few small museums that are worth exploring. Also on Saturdays one can visit the huge farmer's market. One note - call or email the hotel for detailed directions once you are in town. It is a bit complicated if you are arriving by car and Google maps won't take you to the right spot. Overall we can't recommend this unique small hotel highly enough, we had an exceptional stay!"

- "We stayed for 10 days in this nice one-bedroom apartment just eight minutes from the old town in Chambery. The apartment block is set among mature, evergreen trees, situated on a hill overlooking the Château. The unit is on the first floor, which made stair-climbing easy, but there was a bit of apprehension about access from the outside through the windows. Fortunately, there were shutters that we could close when we were not at home. During the day, we looked out on lovely flowered gardens and heard many songbirds. The apartment was well appointed, with a well-stocked kitchen (a sharp knife would have been nice, however), so we prepared meals and settled in when not out and about town. Madame Lateur met us upon arrival. We were able to park off street which was a huge bonus. All in all, we would return, if the opportunity presented itself!"

- "The apartment was great. Across the street was the old city center. Beautiful. Access more difficult than espected. Next to a car repair shop. Apartment is on 3rd floor. Nightclub on first. But I had no problem falling asleep. One must take the elevator to the second floor and take six steps down, walk outside along a shabby path between the building and the roof of the building next door, up six steps, go inside a hallway, up a full fight of stairs to the apartment. The terrace is wonderful. The rooms are large. Plenty of space. No coffee pot, just a pod maker. Take a pillow. Pillows are shams full of chunks of foam, not comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Ultra clean. Washer was difficult. Used a laundromate nearby. No dryer. Apartment has many sevices nearby."

The two bedroom two bath apartment is spacious and beautifully done especially the 16 foot ceilings which are coffered with attractive designs. One can drive their car to the apartment with Marie’s help to get into the pedestrian street, unload your car and then park for free nearby with a pass provided by Marie. This is a huge advantage when renting an apartment in a no car zone area! If you are planning a stay in Old Town Chambery, we highly recommend this apartment. We were here prior to heading to Trois Vallees for a ski vacation. If we return next year to ski again, we certainly would stay here again!"
