Down a narrow track to a small hamlet a short distance from Langton Matravers - a three bedroom Victorian cottage which sleeps six. Surrounded by National Trust land with amazing views towards the sea one way and towards Corfe Castle the other way. Luxuriously carpeted lounge with views over the Purbeck valley. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, oven, gas hob and dishwasher. When standing at the sink you will enjoy a most beautiful view looking towards the Purbeck Hills with Kingston Church and Swyre Head in the distance. There is an inner hall with a place to hang coats and a door to the garden with the three bedrooms leading off this hall. One bedroom has twin (3') beds and views to the garden; the second has a king size (5.6) bed and an en-suite shower room; the third bedroom has king size (5.6) beds and French windows looking south, with a view over the hills and with steps leading down to its own patio area. The bathroom has a bath, separate shower, loo and basin. Apart from the kitchen and bathrooms there are fitted carpets throughout.
As you approach the property a pair of double gates open onto a gravel drive which widens to form a turning area and parking for several cars and a boat for those who like sailing. The rear garden is completely private surrounded by trees and a beech hedge with a good size patio for table and chairs.

The cottage at 5 North Street was originally built in the middle of the 19th century by quarrymen from the local quarries using Purbeck stone. Used as a holiday home for several decades by previous owners, it has been modernised and updated by the present owners while retaining many of its original features. It has been available as a self-catering holiday let since 2003, and is very popular with guests, many of whom return on an annual basis. Prices quoted are for weekly rentals. The cottage is also let for shorter periods from October to April - please contact the owner direct for prices and availability. Maximum occupancy is five for three adults and two children under the age of sixteen (or vice versa).

The village of Langton Matravers is within a conservation area and much of the surrounding countryside is classified as an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village is within walking distance of Dancing Ledge one of the features of the Dorset & East Devon Coast, England's first natural site to receive World Heritage Status. The cottage has been refurbished to a high standard and provides a comfortable, relaxing holiday home. An electric immersion heater heats the water and central heating is provided by night storage heaters.

The pub, with its incredibly far-reaching, panoramic sea views has been voted one of the best 5 pubs in Britain! A family friendly spot that's well worth a visit.
Langton Matravers offers a local shop/ deli/ bakery within the Kings Arms pub, the pub is also great for food with a lovely garden. The church and Putlake Adventure Farm is just a few minutes which younger visitors are sure to enjoy.

If you love beaches, then Swanage has a lot to offer in this department with its 'Blue Flag' rating, along with a characterful, friendly, town centre. The beach is life-guarded during seasonally busy periods, and has traditional entertainment such as Punch and Judy shows on the beach, fishing and boat trips as well as fish and chips aplenty!
In addition to its fabulous beaches and seaside atmosphere, at the end of July and into the beginning of August, Swanage also boasts its major annual carnival; the largest in the South. Access to the town is easy by car, bus, or even by foot, being only about 2 miles away.
All in all, the immediate area has lots to offer - and further afield, the likes of The Tank Museum and Monkey World are within about 30 minutes drive, near Wool.

Enter through the front gates into a large driveway with enough space for 10 cars and this welcoming detached property set in it's own grounds of just over 3/4 of an acre will instantly make you feel at home and relaxed. It has a completely separate entrance, its own private Mediterranean garden, and beautiful views over the garden of the main house and to the sea beyond. There may be guests in the main part of the house so it is very important that guests in the Garden Wing are mindful of this.

There is a spacious and comfortable sitting room, a well equipped kitchen and 3 very comfortable bedrooms. The Garden Wing has its own garden - the Mediterranean Garden which is full of shrubs and other flowering plants.
