And had an issue with the bathroom locks that could not be opening from the outside. We had a 3year old in our party who locked himself in until we made him understand that he needed to push the bolt aside. Just a small point but it was a bit of a worry at the time. Situated fifteen minutes walk from the sea at Lulworth cove on the unspoiled Purbeck coast the Lynches is situated on a hillside with wide south facing views to the sea and surrounded by fields. Built of Purbeck stone around the beginning of the last century it is set in two acres of secluded terraced lawns and gardens including a large area ideal for children's games.

The very fully equipped kitchen opens onto a bright glass conservatory. There is an Aga cooker as well as an extra oven and hob. There is a pretty spacious dining room with a large round 18th. century dining table and sideboard. The large living room has an open fire, a piano and french doors to the terrace.

There is a huge marble table with seating for summer eating on the south facing terrace and there is a sun umbrella and barbecue.

The Lulworth area is notable for its wonderful walks and and spectacular 'Jurassic' coastline including Durdle Door and Kimmeridge bay where there is the recently opened Etches fossil museum.

Good local places for swimming include Lulworth cove, Durdle Door beaches and Kimmeridge. Within easy reach are Corfe Castle with its spectacular ruins, Weymouth Bay and Abottsbury.

The welcome hamper of goods was fantastic, especially with everything sourced from the local area. There really could not be anything to complain about, the standard of accommodation here is exceptional. The location is great, we basically parked the car up and hardly used it; just a short walk down to the amenities of Lulworth Cove, and very close to the coastal path for great hikes in either direction. Just be aware that there are no local supermarkets close by - the Londis round the corner appeared to be closed down, although with the provision of the hamper you shouldn't need much for a good couple of days."

There is extensive parking, easily accommodating four cars and large gardens to the side and rear giving plenty of outdoor entertaining space with lots of room for children to run around.

You will be greeted by gates opening onto the large double aspect drive, stairs and ramps allow access to the raised front door, and a bench allows you to savour the spectacular views.

The front door opens onto a reception room, with a church pew for removing those muddy boots, and plenty of hooks and storage.

From the reception room you enter a kitchen, which is large and has everything you may need if staying in to cook. There is a hob including dual ovens, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster & kettle and all the utensils and kitchenware you might need.

There are two exits from the kitchen, the first leading to a living room with amazing views over Bindon Hills opposite, the room is furnished with multiple sofas and includes a wood burner. A smart television, which has apps for the various streaming services and DVD player should hopefully keep you entertained in the evenings.

The second exit leads into a large dining room which shares the same amazing views over Bindon and the village, there is plenty of space for a dining table that can easily seat 8, along with a sofa for chilling. Patio doors open out to the large garden and patio area, the room makes the transition between inside and outside very easy.

There is also a downstairs wet room with WC, walk in shower and sink off the dining room.

Venturing upstairs you will find the three bedrooms along with a family bathroom.

The master bedroom overlooks the front drive, and has beautiful views over the hills opposite, it provides built in wardrobes, a chest of draws and a comfy to chair to make getting changed a joy. This room has a king size bed fitted with a brand new mattress.

The next bedroom again overlooks the hills opposite, this time with a double bed, again with brand new mattress. Built in wardrobes and a chest of draws again give you all the storage you may need.

The last bedroom overlooks the rear of the property with views of the hill beyond, this time a twin room with two single beds again with brand new mattresses.

Upstairs there is also a family bathroom with bath, in bath shower, basin and WC.

All rooms are carpeted and feature black out blinds or curtains, a hairdryer is provided and all rooms have ample storage for your clothes.

All bed Linens are hotel quality from “Mitre” and both bath and hand towels are provided. Mattresses are award winning models from the PremierInn range.

A washing machine can also be found under the stairs in the hall should you need to refresh some of your clothes during your stay.

For families we also provide a travel cot, including mattress and mattress sheets, highchair, baby bath and potty.

The property includes fast WIFI.

The large outdoor space includes ample seating and tables, sun loungers, umbrella and large new BBQ including your first bag of coal to get you started, there is even a pond with fish.

- "We loved the cottage, the rooms were large and clean, the sitting/dinning area was huge; so was the kitchen and the cottage as a whole was very well equipped. The gardens were a feature, one level after another, the main garden had a large sitting area which we used loads. Moreover, the cottage could not have been better located, by the rolling hills of Durdle door, right at the heard of the scenic Lulworth village, a few minutes to the beach. Everything was perfect."

This charming little retreat is nestled on the edge of West Lulworth with quick and easy access to the South-West Coast Path. Completely refurbished in 2023, the cozy cottage has a well-equipped modern kitchen with a brand-new electric oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, wine-cooler and washer/dryer. The open-plan living and dining area has wooden floors, a comfortable seating space with sofa, armchairs and a smart TV, a dining table and chairs and a delightful log burner for colder evenings.

The private front and rear gardens are perfect for soaking up the summer sun or enjoying a barbecue. The front garden is an enclosed lawned area, whilst the rear garden features a raised wooden deck up 4 steps. There is a charcoal barbeque and garden table and chairs.

The first floor boasts two bedrooms, including a king-size bed in the first bedroom with built-in wardrobes and scenic countryside views. The second bedroom features a bunk bed and a separate single bed, along with convenient storage space.

There is a newly-fitted family bathroom on the first floor complete with bath, separate shower, WC, heated towel rail and basin.

The cottage is accessed via a gravelled footpath which is up two steps from Bindon Road, a private, unsurfaced road off Main Road, the main village road leading down to the Cove. The front door leads into a slate-floored hallway with room for walking boots and coats.

Juniper Cottage is not just a holiday home: it's a gateway to a quintessential Dorset experience. Explore the renowned Jurassic coastline with ease, indulge in local dining experiences, and discover the charm of West Lulworth and Lulworth Cove within a short walk. For families, the cove is just a 10-minute stroll away, offering activities like swimming, crabbing, pebble painting, and indulging in delicious local ice cream. One area of the living room is situated with seating looking out over the front garden taking in the breathtaking views. Just sit here and relax taking in what this property has to offer. West Lulworth is located on the stunning coastline of The Jurassic Coast which runs from Poole Harbour all the way to Lyme Regis. Lulworth Cover and Durdle is less than a 10-minute walk. With both locations being one of the most popular attractions Dorset offers. Guests come from afar just for a day, why not make a holiday to remember and stay close to both of these stunning locations. Further afield, you can take a trip to the Poole Harbour second largest natural harbour in the world. Here you can enjoy a day exploring the various islands via either self-hire pleasure boat or take a tour on one of the many guided trips. Brownsea island is worth a day out where you need to keep an eye out for the red squirrel. The market town of Dorchester is approx a 20-minute drive, here you will find local markets, museums, restaurants, and bars. Further afield you can take a trip to the Historic Tank Museum or have a day roaming around Monkey World. Back at the property, you are in walking distance of local pubs, restaurant and shops.

The stunning Jurassic coastline runs beside the picture-postcard village of Lulworth and attracts many visitors due to its striking natural features including Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. This popular village is well serviced with amenities and is the ideal base for touring, with many beautiful beaches within easy reach, such as Kimmeridge and Ringstead Bay. Dorset’s county town, Dorchester, is 10 miles north-west and the walled riverside town of Wareham can be found 7 miles north-east. Those wishing to get active will find many activities in the local area, or relax and enjoy a family day out to the Sealife Centre at Weymouth or Abbotsbury Swannery, farm park and subtropical gardens.

There is an Lulworth estate information centre which offers an insight into how the cove and Durdle door were formed and Jurassic history of the region. If you tire of Cove and cliff top walks then Lulworth Castle is a short drive away and offers another glimpse at some more recent history, along with Tyneham Village, and Corfe Castle. Varykino offers spacious and flexible accommodation over three floors, and has breathtaking rural views from all of the south facing windows. The property is entered via the middle floor where there is a comfortable sitting room with large picture window to enjoy the views. There are two bedrooms on the middle floor, a king-size and a twin, along with a shower room, and a separate cloakroom. A small games room with table top games, a desk and bookshelves is located on the middle floor also. Stairs take you down to the large bright kitchen, separate utility room, and dining room with french doors out to the garden. From the games room there are stairs up to the master suite with its large en-suite bathroom and more splendid views.

The village of West Lulworth offers a variety of amenities, including a village store (seasonal), pubs, restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops.
