- "Had firearm training at Valor Ridge and this cabin was the perfect place to spend the night. Brought my Weber with and grilled a steak each night and enjoyed the cabin and atmosphere. It is rustic so it may not appeal to everyone. It has a nice television, kitchen, comfortable bed, and claw foot tub. - "The driveway is a little steep. The house was very nice inside though, and conveniently close to the area we were visiting. Some of the lightbulbs were out and no replacement bulbs available. The kitchen countertops had a sticky film on them. We had to clean them before using. It would have been nice to have a working icemaker. This is a log house/cabin with over 1500 sq’ of living space and supplied with most everything you need. It’s located just 7 miles from Lincoln Memorial University and roughly 10 miles from the amazing Cumberland Gap National Park. The cabin is convenient located just a few miles down the road after you turn off of the main highway/25E. The cabin itself is located on the left side of the road nestle up in the edge of the mountains and overlooks the river. You will have access to close to 1 mile of riverfront within just a short walk down the gravel driveway & across the road into a beautiful green grassy field that slopes gently to the waters edge. We offer several adventures like kayaking and fishing trips but of course you can bring your own adventures. The Magnolia House, constructed in the early 1900's, has undergone an 8 month professional remodel. The main house supports 4 bedrooms, two of which are masters, and 3.5 total baths. A large "formal" living room, dining room, a party/game room, and large eat in kitchen with breakfast nook round out the main house. The large wraparound porch with a light blue painted tongue and groove ceiling, ceiling fans, and recessed lighting is the perfect place to relax with a drink after a day of exploring the Cumberland Gap area.
