The Country House is a luxurious retreat tucked within the Red Hills of Dundee. Surrounded by wineries within walking distance and dozens more within a short drive, this location can't be beat. Wine aside, the property is unique in this area as much of it still covered by native deciduous trees and evergreens. It's a nice respite from the open vineyards and farmland of the Willamette Valley.

Upon entering, our guests will find a fully reimagined interior that combines elements of the original house with modern aesthetics inspired by Belgian country houses.

LIVING AREAS: At just under 1800 square feet the cottage is cozy but lives large. The main floor has two dedicated living areas. The main living room right off the kitchen is one best suited for sitting by the fire (pellet stove, pellets provided), reading a book, or enjoying a glass of wine. When the weather is warm, open up the double set of French doors and let the summer air fill the house! Dine alfresco and socialize in the connected indoor/outdoor areas as there is a perfect spot for everyone. The other living area boasts an 83" Smart TV and loungy sectional sofa. Located in the sunken part of the main floor, this space is a perfect spot to chill after a full day of tastings. Designed to be dark, moody and "den" like, this room beckons when the weather gets a little chillier and the innate urge to hibernate sets in.

KITCHEN/DINING: Sharing the main floor is the large fully stocked eat-in kitchen. Influenced by our European counterparts, this kitchen was designed without a dining room in mind as intended to eat and congregate around the working island, family style. The space has been outfitted with modern luxury conveniences such as the induction AGA range, Bosch appliances as well as a dedicated coffee/bar area with a Breville Nespresso machine and wine library. Peet's Nespresso pods and Smith Teas are provided for guests to enjoy.

BEDROOMS/SLEEPING: Located upstairs are the two main bedrooms of the house. The primary bedroom is large with a king bed and luxurious linens. There is a small dedicated work area in this room, a small Samsung Art TV, large closet space, as well as ensuite bathroom. The second smaller guest bedroom also boasts a king bed with high-end linens and a small walk-in closet. Downstairs off the den within the sunken living area are two Twin XL beds in bunk style. All beds are LUUF with Riley Linens.

BATHROOMS: There is one bathroom located on the main floor and one attached to the primary bedroom. The bathroom on the main floor features a plastered tub/shower, marble floors, double sink vanity and Rohl and Barber Wilson plumbing fixtures. The upstairs ensuite bathroom within the primary suite provides a luxury plaster shower with skylight looking into the forest canopy. This bathroom has a single sink vanity and Rohl fixtures and marble floors as well. Luxurious Sangre de Fruta toiletries are provided throughout the house for our guests.

LAUNDRY: There is a full sized laundry room located in the sunken portion of the main floor, with detergents and cleaners available for guest use.

OUTDOORS: KD Country House is located on six and a half acres. We encourage our guests to safely and respectfully explore the property and surrounding wildlife. The property has a natural spring in the front yard which flows all year long and attracts wildlife as well. It's a wonderful place to sit and relax any time of day and enjoy the water and surroundings. In the immediate spaces around the house, our guests will enjoy multiple seating and eating areas. Under the front covered porch is a small hybrid eating/sitting area, great for morning coffee, evening wine or an informal meal. The propane BBQ is located here, right off of the French doors leading to the kitchen. Out the back of the house is a larger outdoor dining area with umbrellas, surrounded by trees and perfect for any meal. Beyond the dining area is another sitting area with propane fire pit, a great place to enjoy the evening. Up the hill from the front door you will find a newly built cedar sauna and relaxation room within the old tin shed, the views and vibes from this idyllic spot are magic!

This home is built for entertaining with a spacious open floorplan. The chef's kitchen with gas cooktop opens into a vaulted great room with plenty of comfortable seating. The primary suite is set off from the rest of the bedrooms and has a comfortable California King bed, walk-in closet, settee, and television. The ensuite bathroom includes a shower as well as a soaking tub for relaxing. The two guest bedrooms are situated next to the hall bathroom and both have comfortable queen-sized beds along with ample storage space. Adjacent to the front door is an office with a sofa bed for additional sleeping space as needed.

Enjoy the beautiful Oregon weather from our back deck or under the gazebo. Or watch the sunrise with a cup of Hawaiian coffee from the covered front porch. On a clear day you can also see Mt. Hood and Mt. Jefferson, as the home sits on the hill above Dundee. The lot is nearly a quarter acre, and although it is in a neighborhood just blocks from tasting rooms, it feels quite private. Safety & Security: Our cleaning personnel continue to follow all recommended cleaning and disinfection guidelines specified by Vrbo and Airbnb. We are blocking rentals before and after stays (no same day turnovers) to ensure that staff has enough time to do a thorough cleaning. While this has led to increased cleaning fees, we are sure you will be pleased with the condition and safety our home. This allows both privacy between families sharing the home or an easy way to limit the noise to those on different sleep schedules. With the double doors fully open the design presents a continuous spacious feel.

Each two living areas has two bedrooms separated by double walls to suppress sound, each with queen beds and extremely comfortable Tempur-Pedic mattresses. All of the bedrooms have their own wall mounted mini-split air-conditioning system so rooms can be cooled to your own preference. The fifth and sixth beds are Sleeper Sofas manufactured by American Leather and provide exceptional comfort with gel mattresses. Radiant floor heating throughout provides exceptional comfort without furnace blower dust & noise. Two gas fireplaces provide additional warmth and great ambience in the winter months. Each living area contains a full double sink bathroom, with an additional half bath in the larger living area, allowing maximum flexibility within groups. Downstairs you will find the finished garage with a ping pong table, cornhole and some casual seating. For those with an electric vehicle the car port has a level 2EV charger installed for your use. Enjoy the experience of an outside fire, bring your own wood and ax. A wonderful firepit and outdoor chairs overlooking the adjacent vineyard is available for your use.

The location is perfection as well. Six wineries are within a short 5-10 min walk from the house. In the car you are less than three minutes to downtown Dundee where you’ll find fabulous restaurants and wineries showcasing their boutique and international brands. To the west you are a couple minutes to another dozen amazing wineries and vineyards. You would be hard pressed to find a more wonderfully located vacation home in the entire region.

Witha spacious 500 square feet of living space, you will feel right at home in the large cozy sitting area with the warm electric fireplace and flat screen television with Dish Satellite services, Netflix and Pandora. After a full day of wine tasting, you'll be able to chill out with a good book or enjoy anything from music to your favorite sports team on TV.

The new kitchenette is equippedwith a small dining table, both a Keurig and a french press,a full size refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, Instant Pot, and even an egg cooker! A BBQ grill on the patio ensures that you will have everything you need to prepare meals at home. Also, a desk space/work table has been added for those who like to spread out or maybe need to do a little work while staying.

The private bedroom features an impressiveking size bed with luxury bedding and linens. Cute nightstands, a sound machine, steamer, iron/board, and luggage racks make sure you'll have all the amenities you need during your stay. Please Note: The Homeowner lives above this suite and you may hear them being active throughout the day. Ear Plugs, a White Noise Machine, and an Alarm Clock/Radio have been provided for the comfort of your stay. Central air is provided along with a portable AC unit which can be connected through the sliding door.
