- "This stay was very relaxing for my wife and I. It is definitely a place we will return to. It’s far enough away from the activities downtown that the noise isn’t an issue but still close enough to walk to the events. Transparently, we did have a few issues with some of the property’s function: the hot tub didn’t work during our stay and the upstairs bathroom door would come off the track. Because of these issues, we did message the owner and Ashley was SO communicative and accommodating. Ashley’s hospitality and communication made our stay, and we would happily return to this property because it IS absolutely beautiful. We walked to town several times and enjoyed the city so much. Beds were very comfortable and everything was thought of. (The robes are to die for!) we enjoyed a workout upstairs while there as well. - "The hotel looked nothing like t he one photo they had posted at hotels.com. there were dead crickets in the bathroom and under the sink and behind the door. The room had a terrible odor and smelled of cigarette and mold. The air conditioner was dirty and you could see a yellowish smoke stain in the face of the ac unit. The shower was old and disgusting and the toilet didnt work. A lady (I'm guessing a housekeeper or desk clerk) began telling us her life story of working for the cartel and getting jumped and smuggling drugs into a prison she worked out for 3 weeks. Parking lot was creepy and the hotel has a reputation for stabbings, drug use and drug sale, and shootings and heavy police activity. The photos didnt capture the filthiness of the room. I was told the rooms were recently renovated, which only consisted of new flooring. But the floors hadnt been swpet very well and i was afraid to even pull the blanket back on the bed."
