This recently restored second floor loft apartment is located on Main Street in Historic Sainte Genevieve. The first floor is the home of Rooted Coffee. The apartment has a private front and rear entrance and features an alcove with seating facing Main Street. The apartment offers a spacious country kitchen with stove/range, refrigerator/freezer, cabinetry, seating as well as dishes, pots/pans, coffee maker, blender, toaster and microwave. The two private bedrooms offer a queen and a full. The large, artistically lit and beautifully decorated living room offers two full couches and extra seating. The dining room off the kitchen and living room seats six comfortably. The bathroom offers a tub/shower, vanity and commode with shelving for toiletries. Other apartment features include, closed in sun room, ample closet space and back stairs leading to an enclosed shared garden.

- "We loved this apartment! Very hand for everything that was going on in the downtown area during Jour De Fete. Only two minor complaints, which aren't within the owners ability to change. 1 - this property really only has street parking, and the streets were closed all weekend, so there really wasn't any guaranteed parking close by, and 2 - there is a coffee shop/bakery right below the apartment and they are LOUD! Some of the noise was patrons coming and going, but the general movement of the staff in back of house was unbelievably loud. Very accommodating property otherwise - lots of information on the city/area provided by the owner."

The Space -
There's plenty of room to get comfortable with 3 bedrooms available, a front porch, living room, kitchen and 1bathroom.
Bedroom 1 - queen bed (downstairs) Bedroom 2 - queen bed (upstairs) Bedroom 3 - full bed and 2 twins (upstairs) and a sofa downstairs that can sleep 1.
Old Homes lead to high utility bills. Because of this, bedrooms not needed are locked up, to save on utility use. Let us know if you need extra bedrooms for your stay, otherwise, two guests means one bedroom with queen bed . 3 - 4 guests mean 2 bedrooms each with queen bed. 5 - 6 guests mean 2 bedrooms upstairs1 with queen bed and 1 with double bed and 2 twins. 7 - 9 guests means all 3 bedrooms and sofa if needed.

You'll receive your own code to enter the house upon arrival. After you enter the code the door will unlock. You may need to give it a hearty push, after-all she's 227 years old.

There is occasionally a family member staying in the back of the house which is totally separate and sealed off from the rental with its own entrance, like a duplex.
They are very quiet, probably never know they are there.
