Riverfront Cottage on the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River offering a large enclosed porch overlooking the River!

This newly remodeled cottage offers an updated kitchen with granite countertops, dining area, living room, bathroom, and enclosed front porch with rocking chairs on the main floor. The loft offers an open bedroom with a view of the river and an office area.

Outdoors, you will find a firepit, picnic table, lawn chairs, grill, and access down to the river. The Juniata River offers a great place to sit and relax and build a campfire or if you want to get out on the water you can fish, kayak, or canoe. Kayaks are available with a signed waiver. Raystown Lake is located approximately 25 minutes away. The depth and clarity of the river will depend upon the weather and cannot be guaranteed by the property owner.

The loft offers a Double Size Bed, and the living room offers a sofa bed with a Double-size mattress.

The Kitchen is stocked with dinnerware, cookware, kitchen utensils, microwave, and Keurig. The kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom are all stocked with linens and towels.

Cell phone service is limited, and no house phone is available. WIFI is provided by Brightspeed and is 10Mbps or less. Flatscreen TV has a firestick connected.

The owners, Adrienne and Drew, live on the property and are available to assist with anything you might need before or during your stay. For larger orsmaller groups, you can reserve one of the other homes on the farm. Each building is a comfortable distance from the others, so while you may see other guests on the property, you will still be able to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the farm.

The Lodge always includes free coffee and free firewood (sustainably harvested from the property) for the fire pit, and free propane for the grill. We also supply all linens and bath towels, as well as hand soap in the kitchen and bathroom. A new 60-panel solar array attached to the original barn generates 24,000+ kWh and covers all of our energy consumption. This pet friendly cabin is small with simple construction but priced accordingly. Located towards the front of our campground by RT 31 it’s easy to get to. This is our pet friendly cabin. The river is within 50 feet providing good trout fishing in the early season and other species throughout the year.
The queen bed is right inside the front door and the bunks are in the side room beside the bathroom. Bathroom and small bedroom have curtains for doors to allow easy movement in the tight area.
The space
The whole cabin is yours. You’re welcome to walk around the campground or along the river. The fire pit is located in the lot by the dumpster and picnic table. Please do not make a fire near the cabin. If the wind blows hard it will blow sparks into or under the cabin.

This rustic, well appointed treehouse rises into the trees, suspended on two huge trees and supported by posts. It is accessed by 14 easy steps. It includes a full kitchen, a living and dining area, a full bathroom, a private sleeping loft, and a huge deck overlooking the river below, just a stone's throw away.
A second deck, below the treehouse and out of the weather if it rains, features a 4 person hot tub/spa, comfy seating and a dining table. A few steps from that deck will take you to the firepit, great for those hot dog roasts and staying warm on the chilly nights.
Another few steps is the river, great for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and fishing.
The inside of the treehouse is warmly paneled in real wood from the property and furnished with a leather sectional, complete with queen sleeper inside. Custom built counter tops and furniture adorn the interior. Steps access the loft where a queen bed awaits. Lots of windows and ventilation keep it light and airy. Both heat and air conditioning are provided and a dedicated WIFI and TV for streaming are in place.
The river right in front of the treehouse features a natural river pool with both shallow and deep water. Just downstream of this river pool there is shallow moving water, which is great for sitting on rocks, letting the current flow past you. The sounds of the river can be heard from both decks and just across the river is a 12 mile bike trail and a 2600 acre State Game Land. Completely undeveloped Kimber Mountain rises 1000 feet above the river and this is the view from the deck. Wildlife abounds with sightings of bald eagles, great blue herons, geese, deer, squirrels and much more.
Whether you want to be active with lots to do or just hang out on the deck or by the fire, it is a great place to spend some time.

We loved canoeing and swimming with our dog in a branch of the Juniata River that flowed by mere steps from the porch, biking on the nearby historic Rail Trail, and grilling on the deck set high in the canopy of the surrounding forest. The hosts were very helpful and attentive to our needs, and were open to suggestions to make the treehouse even more comfortable for future guests. This is a unique experience and we were the very first VRBO guests, so there were still a few kinks to work out, but overall what a wonderful and bucketlist-worthy weekend in this adorable treehouse!"

This space is above Horn O Plenty restaurant. The building is owned by Mandisa & Jeffrey Horn. The flat is accommodating with a private entry and parking. The living space is very comfortable with a full living room, two queen bedrooms and full bathrooom. Originally built by the Todd family (Lincoln’s in-laws) you can expect 17-18th century architecture that displays native wood and stone craftsmanship.

When you stay here you will have access to our property for a nice walk, fishing or kayaking in the river, a nice relaxing campfire or just exploring the countryside. This cabin is located towards the front of our campground by the road. You will have a small efficiency kitchen and two queen beds. You’ll have a short drive to Shawnee Park, downtown Bedford shopping and several restaurants.

You can use the whole lot as well as walk or bike the campground. Fire pit in the backyard and wood available at our office. The bedrooms have curtain doorways and the bedroom walls do not reach the ceiling. This allows for heat and cooling circulation. Bathroom has shower, sink, and handicap toilet. The floors are wood but slightly uneven in places since it's an older cabin. The kitchen is small and simple with microwave, coffee maker, mini fridge and sink. The sun porch is a nice dining/work space.

- "Very nice." - "My husband and I were originally going to camp at Shawnee State Park, but due to storms in the area we had to change our plans. I found this cabin and it was perfect! Very, very clean. Had everything we needed for the weekend. We ate breakfast at the picnic table every morning. We enjoyed the view of the mountain the most.There is lots to do in the area. We visited the Flight 93 Memorial, remember me rose garden, the bison gift shop, the old church on cemetery road, kayaked at Shawnee State Park, shopped in downtown Bedford, saw two covered bridges and browsed in Route 30 Antiques. We had dinner at the Jean Bonnet restaurant, highly recommend. A must is to go to Sundaes ice cream shop, we went two nights in a row it was so good! Thank you for allowing us to stay in this beautiful little cabin and just unwind. "

You can walk the trails along the river. Our property begins 200 yards downstream from the bridge and runs about a mile upstream from the bridge on the cabins side of the river.

I was taken aback with the semi-sheer curtain in the bathroom when every other window has a heavy curtain or blinds. The riverside property was very nice, although the traffic was noisy, even at night. Just know Jeff is rigid with c/i and c/o times, even if no one is staying before or after. In fact, the housekeeper knocked on the door (and opened it without waiting for an answer) because there was no car in front of the cabin at 9:30am. I was out walking at Shawnee, and my mom was there. Not good! Still a good value."

The Stargazer overlooks the campground field. The river is just a short walk and the camp driveway is a nice circle to go for an after dinner stroll. Gaze at the stars in the open sky on a clear night.
The space
A nice home away from home, this is a single story cabin with kitchen and bathroom. Queen bed in one bedroom and a single in the other. Extra space on the fold out sofa.

If you are into hiking, biking, boating or kayaking be sure to check out Shawnee State Park. It's just 4 miles away and has 2000 acres and 300 acre lake.

The "River Cabin" on River Mountain Farm is a private 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom cabin/bungalow that sleeps up to 2 adults and is pet friendly. It is perfect for a weekend fishing or hunting trip or for a small family getaway. The cabin has two beds in a studio-style layout (1 twin bed + 1 full bed in the same open area). The bathroom has separate rooms for the shower and toilet. The cabin features a front porch with views of the river and an outdoor gas grill along with a small refrigerator, coffee maker, and air conditioning. High-speed wireless internet is available throughout the property and is suitable for calling or texting and using social media.

On site, you'll have access to 137 acres of hiking and nearly a mile of river frontage for fishing or kayaking. You can borrow one of our four kayaks, two paddle boards, or two river tubes or bring your own and launch from our floating dock. The owners, Adrienne and Drew, live on the property and are available to assist with anything you might need before or during your stay. For larger groups, you can reserve one of the other homes on the farm. Each building is a comfortable distance from the others, so while you may see other guests on the property, you will still be able to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the farm.

The River Cabin always includes free coffee and free propane for the grill. We also supply all linens and bath towels, as well as hand soap in the bathroom. A new 60-panel solar array attached to the original barn generates 24,000+ kWh and covers all of our energy consumption. We also offer 100% contactless check-in and check-out to keep you safe and healthy. Please note that due to the size of the cabin, we limit guests to no more than 2 and no more than 1 dog.The River Cabin can also be reserved along with the Caretaker's Cottage, or The Lodge, and all together they can accommodate up to 14 people.
