The cozy sunroom is a combination living room and dining area that is the favorite place to hang. Nine windows give you a birds eye view to the woods, mountains, fields and meadows. The gas fired ‘wood’ stove heats up at the flip of a switch and keeps it toasty and cozy. In the kitchen the cast iron wood stove is available to enjoy a real woodburning fire.

Industrial style staircase leads from the upper level to the lower level entrance, complete with flowering garden on each side. Where this cool welded hunk of metal staircase came from, we don't know, but we love it and it is a favorite spot to sit.

The surrounding area is filled with many activities and areas to explore when Snow season is here!

Enjoy skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, or sitting in the lodge and enjoying the view at the major snow attractions in the area.

Area ski and snow resorts include Seven Springs, Laurel Mountain, and Hidden Valley. All are easily accessible and offer many family activities for enjoying the beautiful seasons.

The town of Ligonier is 3 easy miles away with its many restaurants and charming shops. The Diamond is the gazebo and small park at the center of town that is beautifully decorated for the holiday and winter as well as year round.

Enjoy hiking and relaxing at the beautiful Linn Run sate park, only 15 minutes away.

Please note that the cabin front is very close to a low traffic Wilpen road. We have had many guests with small children stay as well as pets and this hasn't been an issue but wanted to point it out clearly.

Please also note that the cabin is built into a hillside so there are steps to navigate. If you or anyone in your party has climbing or navigating stairs as an issue, please check pictures before you book. Bedrooms are on upper level with stairs to the lower level kitchen, sunroom, bathroom.

Pets are welcome- you will be charged a $50.00 fee when booking. We ask that you keep pets contained in a crate (condo:) if left unattended. Also, we provide extra sheets for furniture and bed covering if your pet is on these pieces. Please clean up and keep pet hair to minimum. You will be charged for additional cleaning if necessary. Thank you for your understanding.

- "We had a great stay over Memorial Day weekend to kick off our summer. The cabin was exactly as described, with some renovations going on that the hosts made sure to warn us about, so no surprises there. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed, and the lower level bathroom looks recently done, with another bathroom on the upper floor in the works. The hosts were very friendly and made sure we felt welcome, and gave us tips on things to try in the region. If you're staying over the weekend and want to try Wyldfire Bread, be sure to preorder on Thursday afternoon; when I checked their website Friday morning, everything was already sold out. The only thing to keep in mind is that the hill the cabin is built on is pretty steep. There are stairs from the lower parking area all the way to the porch, with a landing at the lower level. I'd recommend taking luggage and such in through the front door, it leads straight to the bedrooms and you don't have to haul everything up the hill. This was a great stay for us!"

Welcome to Sycamore! Our nicely refinished and decorated ranch home provides you with all the comforts you need. The streamside location (that's Mill Creek, one of the finest trout streams in PA) with private back yard space lets you stretch out and release a little before you go to town! You'll find easy parking and a few steps to the MAIN/BACK/REAR entrance. The rarely used front entrance has 3 steps and can only be open from the inside. There is plenty of space to roam, and I am working on creating a butterfly and pollinator garden! I have provided a fire ring for your use, however the wood is hit or miss on site. Sheetz sells it in bundles! Feel free to clear up any twigs on the grounds for kindling. There is also lockable storage in the shed behind the garage, bring your own lock! You might find a bike in there for your enjoyment as well!

Spend your days relaxing on our spacious back deck nestled in the large trees overlooking the beautiful Loyalhanna Creek. It will be hard to beat the sights and sounds of nature. Grill your favorite foods on our LP gas grill and enjoy the meal outdoors at our large table. You can also snuggle up to the beautiful gas fireplace with your favorite book. Watch a variety of shows and movies on the 40" flat screen tv with 100+ cable channels, Roku, Netflix, and Discovery+. The kitchen has a newly installed dishwasher and is fully stocked with pots, pans, silverware, and dishes, etc. The exterior kitchen wall is lined with windows bringing in sunlight and highlighting nature and the outdoors. There is access to the Loyalhanna Creek down the hill, but we don't recommend walking down the hill. It is pretty sloped and can be easy for our guests to slip and fall. Walking down hill at your own risk. There is an easy access to the creek straight across from our cottage. It is a short walk or drive across the bridge to an entry area that is only 3 feet elevation to navigate. There is also spots over there to park your car.

Our guests will enjoy the sounds of rushing water from the screened porch or fall asleep to Spring Peepers chirp while drifting off gently moving water. You can dine out or stay home and whip up your own cuisine in the kitchen and eat at the dining room table and enjoy the view from the triple sliding door wall of windows. Just a little over an hour from Pittsburgh and minutes to Ligonier the Satori Cottage makes an exceptional meditative getaway for discerning guests.

- "This house is a gem. Very private and the only noise we heard was from the birds and the babbling stream in the back. The owners have done a great job of creating a mulched walking path around their property and a bridge over the stream. The house has a beautiful remodel done to it and it’s clean and brand new. The water pressure for showering was great, I wish it was like that in my own home. We didn’t have cell reception but were able to hook up to the wifi and use wifi calling and texting and internet to reach out. One thing of note, there is no microwave, so plan extra time if you need to reheat food. There is a toaster oven and a gas stove and oven to use. Overall, our stay was wonderful and we are thankful to have had the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful setting!"

Escape to this rustic chalet style house located in picturesque Latrobe. The house is located on 13 acres of private land and is surrounded by gorgeous scenery. This charming property features 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, full kitchen, living room, dining room, laundry room and 2 decks.

The master suite has a vaulted ceiling with wooden beams and a ceiling fan. The suite encompasses the entire second floor and includes a full bathroom, a queen bed, an office nook, 3 closets, multiple dressers, a large stone fire place, 50" tv and a private deck that overlooks the natural ponds on the property. An additional twin bed can be set up in the master suite upon request. The master bathroom is equipped with a shower/bathtub, towels, hair dryers and hand soaps.

The first floor bedroom contains 2 twin beds, dresser, ceiling fan, 43" tv, a large closet and a folding twin size bed. The first floor bathroom is equipped with a shower, towels, hair dryer and hand soaps.

The large living room includes a hardwood floors, a large stone fireplace, 50" tv, couch, recliners and a beautiful view of the surrounding property. A large wooden deck is accessible from the living room and is the perfect spot to sit and enjoy the scenery.

A first floor laundry room with a washer and dryer is also available. The entrance of the house leads into a foyer with a custom stone floor. Outdoor lighting, outdoor furniture, electric grill, WiFi, AC and forced heat are additional amenities at the house. Plenty of warm and cozy extra blankets are provided, as well as multiple board games, cards and puzzles are included to occupy your time on a rainy day. Go for a walk around one of the natural ponds to catch a glimpse of some of the wildlife that call them home. No boating, fishing, swimming or wading is allowed in the natural ponds.

The 1st and 2nd floors of the house are included in the rental, the basement, garage & spring house are not included. Guests have access to the house through the front door with a keyless entry pad code based on each reservation. A physical key to the house is not provided. There are also external cameras at the property.

- "We stayed for 5 days. We found plenty to do and see. The cabin is small and quaint. Quite a lovely place to stay. All sleep accommodations are in one room in the upstairs loft, though I suppose someone could sleep on the downstairs couch. This was fine for us as we are a married couple traveling on our own. For anyone wanting to travel with others there would be limited privacy. There are stairs down to the cabin, stairs to get into the cabin, steep stairs up to the loft. We are in our sixties and my husband has bilateral hip replacement and we were able to handle the stairs just fine----but if stairs are challenging for you....this is good to know. Also, to take a shower you must step into a tallish tub. For most folks, none of this is a problem, but for some it's good to know. The host was very good about communicating the check in and check out process---both of which are very easy. I have never had an easier check out process. Basically, all you need to do is pack up your stuff and take it with you when you go. The area around the cabin is scenic and beautiful. This is a great place to stay. "

We ask that you respect the signage that marks various areas that are private or off limits, such as the ponds, and barn/shed etc. You will have access to the apartment as well as the utility/laundry area below.

Welcome to the Rector Meadows Bungalow! This above-garage studio style bungalow is located in Rector, PA – a beautiful country meadow just minutes from Linn Run State Park, Hidden Valley Resort, Laurel Mountain and Ligonier. This adorable 1 bed/1bath space will put guests close to just about everything in the Laurel Highlands. This property is perfect for our “parties of two” who are looking to enjoy cozy living quarters and peaceful surroundings!

Please note this cabin sits at approximately 1300 feet elevation. Guests MUST have AWD/4WD to stay here from Nov 1-March 31st. Guests that fail to abide by this advice will get stuck and be disappointed.

Security: For the safety or our guests and the protection of the property against criminal activity, all guests understand that, at a minimum, there is a “Blink” security camera type located at the front and rear entrance of the cabin to monitor access/egress and driveway areas. Security cameras are in use 24 hours a day/7 days a week.

Guests should not remove, disturb, modify or damage any part of the onsite security system. IF this occurs it will result in the loss of security deposit or added charges, which ever applies.
