This fun, colorful 2 bedroom retro apartment on the first floor has a style all its own! Most items including the lighting and art work are from the 1950’s or 1960’s and sourced either from our own personal collection or from a fun vintage shop in the neighborhood.

As you walk in through the original 1907 front door you’ll find the entrance to your own private suite to the right on the first level. The entry opens into the funky 1960s living room featuring authentic mid century modern furniture including a Selig of Monroe sofa! While the furnishings may be vintage the smart roku tv is all set for you to “Netflix and Chill”.

Just off the living room is bright, beautiful bedroom with gorgeous original picture window and two twin beds. Down the hall from the living room is the fun and colorful 1950s style kitchen. Enjoy cooking brunch in this sun drenched retro dream! Vintage metal cabinetry, original porcelain sink and drain board, adorable 1950’s floral chandelier and vintage kitchen table are made current by the addition of new turquoise small appliances and brand new checker board linoleum floor.

Across from the kitchen is another light filled bedroom. This fun turquoise master bedroom features a comfy queen size bed, giant double closet and all vintage furniture. Worry not the bed and pillows are all brand new and very cozy.

Created in 1894, the park predates the City of Allegheny’s annexation to the City of Pittsburgh in 1907. Formed largely from farmland, today’s Riverview Park is known for its dense woodlands and steep topography.The park’s extensive network of trails invites hikers, joggers, and the occasional horseback rider into the woods. The park is also home to the landmark Allegheny Observatory, a visitor’s center, a swimming pool and activities building, the natural beauty of the Mairdale watershed, and the popular two-mile Riverview Loop. Residents enjoy the park's pool, playground, ball field, shelters and summertime concerts and movies.

The home is in a residential neighborhood close to the local Carnegie library, several pizza/sub shops, and other unique eateries. There are absolutely no parties of events allowed at the house. This policy is strictly enforced. Unfortunately there have been three incidents of people hosting parties at the house in violation of our policy that were extremely distressing. The last guest had well over 100 people and the neighbors called the police. It is a quiet family neighborhood and I do not want to be known as a nuisance house in the neighborhood. After the last incident, the neighbor’s have a zero tolerance for parties and will contact the police. If you are interested in having a few friends visit you at the house please notify me but for insurance reasons and out of respect for my neighbors I must enforce this rule. I appreciate your understanding.

Lisa was extremely sweet and even accommodated a last minute situation which she did not at all have to do- but we are so appreciative and grateful for her kindness!! The property was very clean, smelled wonderful, and was overall super cozy and welcoming! The art work throughout the house is beautiful! The shower was nice and large and the water got nice and hot! You could smell the cleanliness of the blankets and towels! The use of low-toxic cleaning products was an added bonus! Pearl, the neighbor cat was such a sweetheart! There are other free roam cats on the street also, but we did not have any issues with any animals in the yard which is great for people who have “friend selective” dogs! & I even got to feed a deer out of my hand! Our pups loved the fenced in yard, the area was quiet- the neighbors did not bother us, although they do have large dogs that will occasionally bark if they see/hear you outside, but nothing excessive or bothersome at all. Just something to note if you have dogs yourself that may alert to hearing other animals! I am already thinking about when we will be able to visit again because honestly, we travel quite often and our stay here was so comfortable and the yard made it so painless to bring our pups! Highly recommend Lisa’s property!!"

- "As soon as we pulled up to the location, everything was just absolutely perfect. As we stepped out of the car, we were greeted by an adorable, super loving kitty, cat named Pearl! She followed us up the stairs and waited outside while we checked out the interior. Everything was super cute and modern And it was quite hot that day. The temperature was sat at a crisp refreshing 68°! Everything looked exactly as it did in the pictures! So super cute and very cozy. Upon checking the welcome packet turns out pearl greets and be friends all of its tenets. She eventually came inside, and it was amazing. She was like a pre-programmed cat. Super loving, and wonderful. The best qualities all in one kitty. Not to mention, Lisa was phenomenal. She was very quick in response to any concerns or questions I had. She was such a kind lady, and very very welcoming. We absolutely will be back!"

We border Riverview park (there’s a walking bridge at the top of the street to the right) where visitors love to enjoy the beautiful landscape with many wildlife that live amongst the property with help from this park. We have many deer 🦌, turkey 🦃 , cats 🐈‍⬛ , gold finches, robins, owls 🦉, cardinals, blue jays, hummingbirds, mockingbirds and hawks that live around the area that are often seen by guests. Even the occasional fox 🦊 will pay us a visit once in a while. This is a great city place with the feel of country living.

He stopped he knew we were quietly watching. He was munching in the grass. He walked up the lil hill side of trees. Munching on some leaves. Very comfortable place. Very nice Guy!
