The front desk staff are very nice and friendly. The Lodge does have a quiet rule after 10pm. However, the front desk is closed during the night so when some young guests kept making very loud noises till very late on Friday night, no one came out to force the rule."

You honestly won't find another property like this! It's nestled along the treeline of a 50-acre organic farm with breathtaking views of the mountains and sunsets visible through our large floor-to-ceiling windows. Our other border runs along PA State Forest, and with our lake and stream that runs through the property, you get a true mountain escape. If you're looking for a private, outdoor mountain experience with plenty of space and amenities, then you've found it!

While private, we're conveniently located about 10 minutes from both Seven Springs and Hidden Valley. Many people find it to be the perfect location due to the close proximity to the resorts while also having access to markets, restaurants, shops, and other attractions only a couple of minutes away.

In the warmer seasons, enjoy the large front yard complete with provided outdoor sporting equipment and a volleyball area. There’s plenty of room for almost any outdoor sport you can think of. Sit back and relax on our 500-square-foot deck, complete with a propane grill and picnic table. Sip your favorite beverage while enjoying a panoramic view of beautiful mountain ridges. Or, grab your swimsuit and a fishing pole and head down to our lake. At night, unwind around the large fire pit while enjoying smores and listening to the summer night’s sounds including the soothing burble of the Pike Run stream that runs through our property. Stargazing is stunning!

In the colder months, enjoy the indoor fireplace while looking out at beautiful snowscapes through the large front windows. From board games to movies and video games, there should be no shortage of entertainment while indoors. Seven Springs Resort and Hidden Valley are both about a 10-minute drive and offer some of the best skiing in PA as well as snow tubing and plenty of indoor activities.

One main highlight of our property is our lake. It’s constantly fed by a freshwater intake from Pike Run which flows from deep in the mountains. It's a secluded and beautiful place (check out our pics), and great for swimming and fishing.

Unlike other properties up on the mountain, we're within 5 minutes from Donegal with restaurants, groceries, beer and wine, a local zoo, a family entertainment center (go-karts, mini-golf, etc.), and many other fun places to visit. The ICV biking/hiking trailhead is only a mile away as well as hiking in the Roaring Run Natural Area. The location is hands down the best in the area as it's central to the resorts, town, main area attractions, and State Parks. Ohiopyle State Park is only a scenic 25-minute drive away as well and is great for rafting and day trips.

Looking for a rustic cabin but don’t want to give up the modern amenities? No problem! We offer many of the amenities you are used to at home, such as:

- 2 flat-screen TVs with cable (DVR, On-Demand, Amazon Prime Video, etc.)
- Strong cellular service (Verizon's network but I assume others as well)

For the sake of being conservative, we have the cabin listed as 3 bedrooms, but you could make a case for 4. The "4th" bedroom is only accessible by going through the 3rd so it "technically" doesn't qualify. They are separated by a wall with an "accordion-style" divider for a door. You can see this in the pictures.

There is also an expandable dining room table in the back that can comfortably fit 10 - 12 for larger gatherings.

*** IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE BEFORE BOOKING ***

- The primary renter must be at least 25 years of age and match the name on the account/payment method. No renting on behalf of others.

- Maximum is 13 guests on the property at any time unless otherwise agreed to in writing. If your guest count changes from the information on the booking, you must let us know.

- There are 8 beds that sleep a total of 11. We provide a single and queen air mattress for the additional 2 guests if needed.

- The following are prohibited and could be cause for removal from the property without refund:

- Rowdy events/parties
- Smoking (anything) indoors - $250 fee
- Operating ATVs, dirt bikes, or recreational vehicles on the property
- Trespassing on neighbors’ property
- Shooting on the property (but the PA State Forest is 50 yards away)
- Vehicles in the field/yard
- Fireworks.

- Guests provide their bedsheets, pillowcases, and shower/swimming towels. We provide bed comforters, pillows (in waterproof encasements), throw blankets, and hand/kitchen towels.

- The lake is a 5-minute walk from the cabin and is not handicap accessible. If you have trouble navigating uneven ground, you may not be able to access it. Select neighbors have the right to visit the pond, so you might run into some others, but it is rare.

- A few interior doorways are 6’ 3” tall. If anyone in your group is over 6’ 2”, it may be an inconvenience.

- Parking for up to 5 vehicles. If you need more it may be possible, please inquire.

- Pets - dogs only, 4 max. Please ensure that you selected pets in the "guests" section.

- We don’t host events on our property, but a neighboring farm does “barn-style” events/weddings and you are welcome to rent with us for accommodations. Search online for "Sana View Farm". If outdoors, you may hear distant music during the wedding season.

COOLER SEASON BOOKINGS:

- 4-wheel/all-wheel drive is necessary with snow. Our road and parking area are gravel. Even after plowing, if there is any snow or ice on the road, a 2-wheel drive will likely have issues. We’ve never had issues as long as you have 4-wheel drive.

- Guests are responsible for shoveling/salting (provided) the steps and deck area to the front door during their stay if needed. We provide a plowing service for the driveway/road.

- Provided kiln-dried wood is for the fireplace only. Please do not burn outdoors unless otherwise mentioned. There are several places very close by to purchase wood for outdoor fires.

This is a true one-of-kind experience to stay at this amazing 52-acre historic landmark organic farm nestled in the Laurel Mountains near Seven Springs Mountain resort, Hidden Valley, Ohiopyle State Park, Fallingwater and Ligonier.

This super cute and cozy one-room cabin has a full-sized sofa bed and a full-sized futon with a fully equipped kitchen and a small table and chairs, heat and AC, and a separate bathroom with a vanity and small shower. All newly renovated using reclaimed wood.

The farm property includes a huge pond for swimming and is adjacent to a 3000-acre state forest with the most incredible hiking trails. Just a few miles off of the turnpike you will surround yourself with the amazing feeling of living on a restored historic farm. Rent this incredibly lovely one-room plus one bathroom bunkhouse that is situated right next to the historic barn. The bunkhouse has been newly redone with a fully equipped kitchen and lovely bath. The pull-out sofa-bed sleeps two and the futon sleeps two very comfortably as you enjoy a relaxing night on this quiet farm.

The guests will have access to a beautiful 52-acre farm and a huge pond in the back as you enter the 3000 acre Forbes State Forest for amazing hiking and swimming.

We do not interact with the guests unless they need us, especially if they prefer to have privacy.

This farm is nestled in the Laurel Mountains and is surrounded by so many wonderful things to do. This area is a major tourist attraction but the cabin is very quiet and private.

You do need a car to get around in this area as there is no good public transportation.

Directions:
Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike to the Donegal/Ligonier exit. Turn left as you come off of the exit onto route 31. Stay on Route 31 for 3 miles and turn right onto Roaring Run Road (immediately past the VFW sign on your left). The farm is on your left as you come down the hill on Roaring Run. Tall pine trees line the driveway to the bunkhouse, farmhouse and springhouse.

The bunkhouse is to the right of the driveway next to the barn.

Parking:
Please park on the gravel areas only and pull to the left to avoid blocking other vehicles.

This is nestled in a quite neighborhood backed up against a 52-acre historic landmark organic farm. There is very little traffic and none of the usual tourist commotion for the area.

There is plenty of parking spaces next to the bunkhouse, as well as next to the barn. Please avoid driving on the grass.

Welcome to the eagles' nest log cabin nestled in the heart of the Laurel Highlands. This nest is the smaller of the two cabins on the property.
This beautiful newly renovated cabin is surrounded by woods and backed by a roaring run creek a class A native trout stream. Within walking distance to the ICV hiking and biking trail and a short drive to both Seven Springs and Hidden Valley resorts plus PA's largest state park Ohiopyle, the cabin is the perfect location to experience the best of the Laurel Highlands. Our newly renovated cabin sleeps up to 2 people with a queen in the bedroom but also features a custom-made pull-out couch in the living room. Features include complete renovation inside and out, hot tub with privacy area, outdoor fire pit, automatic gas fireplace, outdoor seating area, outdoor grill, heat pump, and air conditioning, large flat screen television, and fast reliable internet. Open the window in the bedroom and let the sound of Roaring run put you to sleep. Located in the heart of the Laurel Highlands the eagle's nest is the perfect location for a relaxing escape or action-filled adventure.

This custom chalet is situated on 1 private acre with a cozy covered porch, beautiful fireplace and a private hot tub.

As you enter the home, you're drenched in natural light thanks to floor to ceiling windows throughout the main room. If privacy is what your heart desires, just draw the light-filtering cordless blinds and enjoy the peaceful serenity.

The kitchen is fabulously equipped and features custom granite counters, stainless appliances, and a genuine hammered copper sink. There is a built-in water filter under the kitchen sink, so you can enjoy sipping on the fresh cold mountain water without the worry of contaminants.

Each of the 2 bedrooms includes a Queen bed with fresh white linens and plenty of pillows

The full bathroom has been completely updated with Carrara marble sink top, comfort height toilet, and gleaming chrome fixtures. And since nobody likes a dark bathroom, we've even added an Anderson skylight.

The bonus room offers two twin beds, washer & dryer, a utility sink, and an additional 1/2 bath.

Outside, you'll find a large covered porch that includes a sparkling clean therapeutic hot tub.

- "This cabin is charming and comfortable. The hosts have furnished it with everything you could possibly need. It's spacious, clean, and tranquil. We loved the sound of the stream in the back of the property. It's about a 30 minute drive to Fallingwater, Ohiopyle, and most water attractions. We preferred the solitude of the private road and non-touristy vibe of the neighborhood. Close to Seven Springs if you are a skier (we're not). Lots of great hiking nearby in the Laurel Hill State Park and Roaring Run Natural Recreation area."
