All parts of the home including the (3) bedrooms, full kitchen, mud room with laundry, common area with couch and TV with Roku, wrap around porch with full views of Galway Lake, dock access, and access to our (3) kayaks, and rowboats.

With no gas motors allowed on the lake, you are able to enjoy the sound of the water splashing against the dock and if you are into bird watching, keep an eye out for the beautiful American Bald Eagle and Osprey diving for fish nearby. The Sunrise Cottage is equipped with 3 bedrooms and 2-full baths, as well as a beautiful living space adorned by skylights, making it the perfect place for relaxing and entertaining. Located just 25 minutes to Saratoga Springs and at the foothills of the Adirondacks. You can enjoy a day at the Saratoga National Race Track or by taking a walk along the beautiful trails the area has to offer (see our guestbook for recommendations!). End your beautiful day at the lake with a gorgeous sunset.

You will definitely need a vehicle to get around the area! Ubers are hard to come by out in these parts!

During the summers, lawn mowing is done between 12-4pm on Fridays! They are very quick when they come through!

For winter stays, it is HIGHLY recommended that you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Due to upstate New York winters, the roads can be icy and covered in snow. If there should be inclement weather during your stay, we provide (1) snow plow & salting of the driveway, should you need additional servicing it will be an additional $75 per plow & salt.

There were several options to have our meals including a large kitchen table, however, because the weather was so nice we chose to eat either at the table in the sunroom or at the one on the deck. The lake is very clean and we took advantage of the kayaks that were at the property to explore the lake. The upstairs bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. Michael is a great host! The property is semi-private.

𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐆𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬: In order for us to maintain the 50-acreage, host may be on-site and servicing the grounds during the day, whether it be mowing the lawn, removing brush in the forest, or delivering guest services. We are respectful of your privacy and may exchange greetings if we see you. Our standard is to communicate notifications, updates, and/or requests via the Vrbo platform.

During the season of May 1 - October 31st, we operate Glampful - The Adirondacks Premier Glamping Experience.

The 50-acres are shared among 10 - 25 Glampers, and the owner-operators who are on-site short term. All guests have access to the acreage of marked hiking trails, where the glamping grounds is based.

The Lodge at Glampful is exclusive to guests. Guests at the lodge have access to a private driveway, a private backyard firepit, and .75 acres of a private yard for a game of volleyball or badminton.

Here is what you can expect on the premises of our 50-acreages, during the May 1 - October 31 season:

The property is in the rural countryside and near The Great Sacandaga Lake, and a total of 44 lakes of Fulton County. You may see wildlife, deer, turkey, beavers, porcupines, and on rare occasions foxes. The property is maintained regularly with pest control services, but the occasional ant, fly, or spider is common. It goes without saying, but please keep a safe distance and do not try to pet or feed the wildlife.

Here is a gorgeous cottage located on 86 feet of private shoreline on Galway Lake. Galway Lake is a privately owned 550-acre lake with seven miles of shoreline located in western Saratoga County in the town of Galway. The cottage is set in a cove on the southern edge of Galway Lake in Maywood Grove with a beautiful view of the northern hills. A small stream borders the side of the property and functions most of the year. The site is located in a rural setting off a dead-end road, which ensures a private and quiet retreat. It's also minutes to important places.

The Saratoga Racetrack and Saratoga Performing Arts Center are only 15 minutes away. Two golf courses are five minutes and fabulous restaurants are minutes away. Large retailers are only 10 minutes away. Numerous attractions are in the surrounding area. The cottage is located 15 minutes from the New York State Thruway and 20 minutes from the Adirondack Northway.

This beautiful A-frame is located on a three-acre sloping lot with plenty of parking. The property has a driveway leading to the entry walkway. There are stone paths, gardens, and lighting in the beautifully landscaped yard. There is a private 16-foot dock with a sandy beach area. The cottage is not furnished with boats, however you may bring your own boats, as long as there are no gasoline engines. Electric motors are permitted. Rowboats, kayaks, canoes, and sailboats are all permitted on Galway Lake. There is a shed on the property for easy storage. A gas grill, patio table, and chairs are provided.

The cottage has one large bedroom on the first floor with a queen bed and a loft upstairs with two single beds. The living room sofa pulls out into a large bed. The cottage is fully furnished, and linens are provided. There is a fully functioning kitchen with a full-size refrigerator and electric cooktop stove. A coffee maker, microwave, and countertop toaster oven are provided. There is a large living room and a very large dining area with a large table and storage closet. The interior is composed of knotty pine walls and ceilings. There are oversized windows in the front with a patio door leading to the oversized deck, overlooking the lake. Two ceiling fans and a large air conditioner in the bedroom keep the cottage cool on those humid days.

The cottage comes with trash pickup and streaming YouTube television service. Rental periods are described in the rental rates, and we offer discounted Spring and Fall rates.

Here are some things to expect

Brookledge was once a Girls Camp called Girls Inc. We still have many buildings, pavilions, bath houses and trails from the original camp.
When you step outside, you will most likely see chipmunks scurrying from tree to tree. They were here first, but they pay rent in acorns.
You may get a sudden urge to walk on the trails. It happens, I don’t know why!?!? Just follow the orange squirrel trail markers.

Why would you ever want to come here? That is an easy question to answer.

You can look up at night and see millions of stars and fireflies in the field.
When you take that walk, you will see deer tracks and hear the sound of the creek.
The pond lovingly called the Ice Bucket will beckon you to skip rocks or possibly be brave enough to jump in.
Swimming or an epic game of cornhole. Loser does the dishes!
The floating dock holds on tightly to a green canoe.
Time with family and friends around a campfire with S’mores of course!

Early check-in?
-We cannot guarantee check-in prior to 3:00. However, you are welcome to leave your bag with us and once your cabin is done, we will move your bag inside. During this time, you may enjoy the property. Guests must let the host know prior to arrival.

Late check-out?
-Sorry we cannot accommodate checkouts past 11:00. We need to clean prior to our next guest.

Do you have Wi-Fi?
- There is not Wi-Fi. However, cell phones do work and we have many recommendations for places you can go if you need to work or need Wi-Fi

Do you allow private events?
-Yes! Please make arrangements with host prior to arrival.

-No swimming in the pond.
-Yes, you can use the floating dock, canoe and paddle boat. You will have to share it with other guests.
No, fishing please! You are welcome to feed our fish from the bucket at the pond.

Is there a grocery store nearby?
- Hannaford on Trieble Ave is 11 miles

Is there hiking close by?
- Yes, the Adirondack Mountains have many wonderful places to hike.
- There are trails throughout the 60 acres for you to enjoy. Follow the orange squirrel trail markers you will find throughout the property.

Do you offer concierge service?
-Yes! For an additional fee we can connect you with our project manager. (Contact your host)

Is there a bathroom inside the cabin?
-No, the bathroom is in the outhouse next to your cabin. We have 2 bathhouses on the property as well. The bathhouses each have a shower, toilet and sinks on one side. On the other we have men's stalls and womans stalls.

Do we need to bring our own firewood?
No, we ask that you do not bring firewood from other places. This will make sure that harmful bugs don't attack our trees. You are welcome to walk around the woods and use the wood that you find for free. You can also purchase wood $5 a bundle.

She even dropped off perfectly portioned picnic basket for us to enjoy each morning. Will definitely be back!"

- "We booked last minute as we decided to stay a night in Saratoga on our way to upstate NY. Could not have had a better experience! From my initial interaction with the owner, who was extremely responsive, to the exceptionally kind and informed team we met the next morning - our experience was only diminished by our need to get back on the road. Our glamping tent was clean, inviting, with two queen beds, water dispenser (hot+cold), fridge, towels for pond and shower, games, coffee keurig, string lights outside and just the best outdoor vibes with the comfort of home. I slept like a Disney princess the bed was so comfy! There are also places to stay for larger groups - think retreats, weddings, family getaways - like the Tree House Lodge and Noble House. There is a large pavilion that is covered for outdoor dining or even yoga classes. Also, an incredible outdoor chapel with a descending staircase through the pines to a lovely seated area for a ceremony or live musical performance. My friend and I are new fast fans! We are first time owners of a race horse and we were looking for a nice place to stay while our filly “Splash of Sass” did her best at the Saratoga track (she came in last but we still love her). We were looking for a lakefront rental with an easy drive to Saratoga so this property seemed to fit the bill. However, it surpassed our expectations. As you can see in the photos, the house is set back on raised land and the main living area is on the second level. This provides a wonderful view over the lake from the kitchen, living room, screened porch, and large outside deck. The view from the master bedroom on the third floor is even more spectacular. We’ve rented many properties over the years and often the outfitting is bare bones, but this one had a great “luxury rustic” atmosphere. The kitchen appliances, bed, and bath accommodations are top line. Cooking in was a pleasure, including watching the hummingbird sip from a feeder as we grilled on the outside deck looking out on the lake. The drive back and forth to Saratoga was quick and pleasant. Although there was a fishing boat with electric motor available we didn’t bring any gear, but we did make use of the two kayaks on the dock. Since no gas motors are allowed on the lake, it was glass smooth and there were only small sailboats and electric fishing boats or pontoon boats, which made for good paddling. Barbara was a great host, the whole trip was wonderful. We would definitely recommend this property and we plan on returning next year!"
