My teenage daughter and I were jet lagged yet expected at dozens of family wedding events in Saratoga Springs, so the large, comfortable bed in a slightly dimmed bedroom was the perfect ambiance for daytime naps and a real treat every evening. The main space was huge and bright and the balcony an added joy. The bathroom was also great - spacious with good water pressure. We appreciated the added touches like big fluffy towels, filtered water already in the fridge, and our request for an early check-in approved. Great Wi-Fi too (I teach online and it worked well for my Zoom lessons) We wish we could’ve stayed longer. The farmland around us was beautiful and we really wanted to see more of the big furry farm cat. A beautiful place to stay ! (PS …even without a car. We used Ubers which were never more than 10min away.)"

You are renting an upstairs studio suite that has your own private entrance and bathroom, attached to a large house with sweeping views of Fish Creek/Saratoga Lake/wildlife reserve. This suite has a staircase you must walk up in order to access the balcony sliding door entrance, locked off from the main house, in a suite designed especially for vacation renters. - "I've spent days searching on Airbnb in the Lake George/Saratoga Springs for the "perfect" place I had in mind for my anniversary with my significant other, but nothing clicked with me. I searched the same area on Vrbo and am grateful to have found this gem. It was everything and more than what I had envisioned: close to nature, an outdoor porch, and a cozy place; having a view of the water was a major plus. Coming in with an electric vehicle, the EV charger was a nice amenity. The space was super clean upon entry. The decor was very ocean/marine themed which I captured my eye as an ocean lover. I appreciated the granola bars which we took on our hike, the instant oatmeal packs in the microwave which we had for breakfast, and the welcome beers in the fridge which we saved for our bonfire. The mini-kitchen has everything you need for a weekend stay (and a much needed wine opener in the drawer in case you forget like we did!)…in fact, this entire place has everything you need for a weekend stay. We were lucky enough to have nice weather to be able to use both the kayaks and the stand up paddleboard on the creek over the weekend. Lifejackets are available. It made for a super fun experience, even in the month of November.

AJ is the best host you could ask for. He’s super friendly, answered all of our questions, and gave amazing food recommendations in the area (Wasabi and Druther’s were amazing suggestions). He helped us out with the kayaks, and he also knows how to set up a great fire pit (I swear he can breathe fire). Can’t thank him enough for providing a memorable experience for us - thank you again, AJ!"

The spaces are compact but filled with lovely natural light and amenities perfect for enjoying a peaceful getaway. Gardens, flowers, and fresh lake breezes surround this property. Enjoy a beautiful evening relaxing by the fire with s’mores and let the world melt away.

LAYOUT:
From the driveway or garage, up a flight of stairs by great big bright windows finds you in the eat in kitchenette wide open to the living room social space. Coffee table conveniently converts into a terrific desk space! Through the living room is a generous size bedroom with office space, walk in closet and faint window view of the nearby lake. Accessible both via doorways from both the bedroom and kitchen is the bathroom.

SLEEPING:
For sleeping there is 1 bedroom with a Queen bed and a living room pullout couch for two.

KITCHEN/ DINING:
For meal time there is a kitchenette featuring all major appliances, a flip up island with bar stools for a great prepping and dining space, place settings for 4, plentiful bakeware and cookware as well as an outdoor grill for a wide variety of culinary prep wants and needs.

The oversized one car garage has a washer/dryer, a bonus second fridge, storage shelves & is heated during cold weather months. Garage area is also a common laundry space utilized by one long term tenant at the property. Use of the laundry is infrequent and only during allowable hours. There are no other indoor shared spaces.

Guest Access:
Entire carriage house, garage, rear lawn and fire pit space is accessible. The living space is in no way accessible to any other building occupants.

Though we’ve never heard it or ever received any feedback about disruption, note there is a nearby firehouse across the way yielding potential for related audible noise. Complimentary earplugs available to accommodate guest preference.

- "Privacy is terrific above the garage. The fire pit was wonderful. Vicinity to Saratoga Springs was welcome - only about a 13 minute drive. The unit was well appointed and not cluttered. The only minuses were the TV was hard to use w/o enough explanation on-site. Also, not enough seating for more than 2 people to eat - just two stools at the small island. Parking in the garage was a real plus. Stewarts across the street is also a bonus. I would stay here again."

- "Everything was great and it was very convenient to get to the track and town!" - "My son goes to camp in Lake George. He was allowed to be picked up for the weekend, so we thought we would go to the horse races and wanted a place to stay nearby. It is off the beaten path, yet only a 5 minute drive to the race track and only a 10 minute drive to the downtown area where there are great restaurants. (Highly recommend the restaurant Scallions.) Emma was in communication with us the whole time. Unfortunately, the horse races got cancelled due to severe weather conditions. She reached out to let us know the races were cancelled before our stay. Any questions she had while we were there she responded to immediately. She was extremely flexible with check in and check out times. The house is filled with cultured decor, which she shared with me when I told her I loved some pieces she had. She really was very welcoming and accommodating! Definitely recommend this place to stay — especially if you are going into town for the races for the weekend."

Saratoga Lake is a clean and serene but active lake. There are fireworks for major holidays that can be seen from the home, summer sailing Regattas every Sunday (just gorgeous to witness the sailboats as the race), Spring and Fall rowing teams and races, and ice fishing and snowmobiling once the lake freezes over.

Lake activities you can partake in:
**RENT A BOAT: Tubing and waterskiing is popular on the lake and there are sand bars that guests like to dock at to BBQ and swim. There are also restaurants that you can drive up to to grab a bite to eat or take it to go.
**PADDLE BOARDS: A great way to explore the shoreline and view the gorgeous homes and landscape along the lake.
**HYDROFLIGHT: Tubing and Water flight company just a minute down the road!
**SWIMMING: You can swim right off of the dock. :) Sometimes there is seaweed depending on the season but it is a lovely, refreshing swim!
**WINTER ICE FISHING & SNOWMOBILIING: Bring your gear and take to the ice (PLEASE check with local lake directives on whether it is thick enough to be safe).

SARATOGA RACE TRACK: Our famous horse races are not to be missed if you have a chance to go! Just minutes from the home.
SARATOGA PERFORMING ARTS CENTER: Our outdoor amphitheater hosts concerts and shows covering all genres. If you haven't been to a concert at SPAC and are able to, we HIGHLY recommend it.
SARATOGA STATE PARK: Saratoga is home to natural springs and gorgeous protected lands with lots to do! Frisbee golf, playgrounds, running trails, pools and water slides are just the beginning.
DOWNTOWN SARATOGA: Shopping, AMAZING restaurants, movies, parks, live entertainment, night life... definitely worth a visit!

We are also on the edge of the Adirondack mountains which have some of the most breathtaking views in the world. There is hiking for any level, waterfalls, white water rafting and more. Lake George is another bustling town with many tourist activities and is just 25 minutes away.

- "This was a very quaint and cozy cottage, but it’s not made for more than two people for a couple of days. There are absolutely no closets and storage space and barely floor space to keep your luggage out. They only provided 4 hangers for the little metal racks that were provided for clothing. The mirror in the bathroom is so high on the wall anyone under 5’9 either needs to stand on a stool or their tiptoes to see in it. The kitchen is barely stocked, lots of utensils but no mixing bowls or anything to really cook. The communication once we got to the cottage was nonexistent. I asked them a question about the blinds and told them an issue we had and they never responded back to us. On the plus side the place was clean besides spiders and super cute. But it was definitely not very functional. "
