Come stay in "The Beach House"! This one bedroom cozy cottage is the perfect place for a vacation for 2. Perfectly located between Port Huron and Lexington right off of Lake Huron with beach access a short walk from your front door. This cottage comes with its own fire pit, grill, and patio for outdoor activities in addition to the volleyball court on the property and the public park right across the street.

- "We visited for a college reunion at one of our groups family lake house. Being that there were more people than would fit in the house, some stayed here and some stayed across the street. We didn't spend much time on the property, so we don't have much to say about the amenities. The rooms were nicely redone. The property is clean and well kept. The only negative thing I noticed is that the AC is very loud. It was cool enough at night that the AC was not an issue."

Back deck has a gas BBQ grill to prepare family dinners. Large stone fireplace.

Tally Ho restaurant is within walking distance and has wonderful food and a full bar. Big George's family restaurant is also within walking distance and has great breakfasts, lunch and dinners.
Port Huron is 7 miles south and has Walmart, Meijers, Home Depot, Kohls, and a wonderful mall. Everything you could possibly want is within reach.
Just 9 miles North is the charming little Harbor Village of Lexington on the shore of Lake Huron. There is a great marina with a beautiful pier and the small shops to wander in and out of including the penny candy store( 10 cents by now). Some are still 2 cents.

As you pull onto the property off Lakeport Drive, your see what BEAUTIFUL Lake Huron has to offer any time of year. Shrubbery and evergreen trees provide PRIVACY with a standard child’s swing set and slide will provide extra fun for the kids. In the warmer months and just steps away from the entrance you’ll find a picnic table and barbeque grill for some outside grilling.

Walking into the lake house through your private entrance off a large outdoor deck, you’ll notice the sunporch windows light the way revealing the laid-back atmosphere, a comfy living room and BIG picture window with a wide view of the lake. The charming bedrooms and sunporch include AC. The spacious kitchen includes a full-sized dishwasher, refrigerator, stove/oven and kitchen table for family dining. Beyond the kitchen, a beautiful wooden screen offers privacy for a big bedroom boasting a queen size bed and TV. Lots of storage is available next to the quaint bathroom with full tub. The house is comfortable and cozy." - "It's hard to find a place to stay for just one night (especially one that accommodates pets!), but this was perfect for a short trip to pick up one of our kids that was at a local camp. This fully furnished home features 3 Bedrooms, 1 downstairs and 2 upstairs with a full kitchen, dining room and living room. The coved ceilings and natural wood floors and staircase add to the appealing charm of this home. My home has brand new central a/c (installed 2016), newer furnace and water heater (installed 2011), and septic (2006). It has a suitably sized washer and dryer.

**Please note the following**
The township in which the property resides instituted short term rental rules this year. These include:
- a minimum 7 day rental rule (weekends only not permitted)
- allowable fires only when wind direction not blowing into neighbor property (to the north)
- beach access only on public land

There is shared access to the sandy beach 750 feet at the end of the road. Guests must ONLY use the beach of the conveniently located State Park south of the access and enjoy their time in only those designated park beach areas. Guests may walk the beautiful beaches but are not allowed to remain on private beachfront property. Please respect the privacy of all neighbors as any violation will be recorded and may result in loss of use.

Please note that cable TV is not provided although there is a flat screen with HDMI interface and DVD player (RedBox isn't far away). WiFi is available.

*Due to rising water levels, there is not water/beach access on the property. Public beach access at less than five minutes away at Jeddo Road Beach. Lake port State Park 7 minutes South.

I felt like we had a great time and took some amazing pictures. Like many of the places we have visited on the lake, the internet is not strong and we had poor cell phone (T Mobile) reception. I left such a detailed review because I use reviews to help in my choosing a place to visit. Inspite of some of my sincere observations, we highly recommend this little piece of paradise."

Beach is nearby and accessible although shared with neighboring homes. Inside, the adorable cottage is extremely clean and comfortable. It is perfect for a couples getaway or family with young children. We loved every minute of our time here and hope to return--many times!"

- "Absolutely LOVED our stay! Would not change a single thing except to have booked it for longer. Communication was quick, thorough and helpful. Both main and guest houses were immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. Owners provided everything we could think of to make it a comfortable beach getaway including towels, sunblock, sand toys, life jackets, chairs, umbrella and even kayaks/paddle boats. With property right on the water and just a few minutes away from downtown Lexington, it is an incredibly convenient location. It is also perfect for multigenerational families as we had my little ones who had a blast in the equipped playroom as well as my mother with mobility/accessibility issues benefit from the main floor bathroom/bedroom setup and easier access to the shore. Kelly had even provided bonus treats for the kids like fruit snacks and a Smores Station, while Brian had even dropped off surprise doughnuts one morning. The view is incredible with stunning sunrise and the night sky is filled with stars on a clear night that we enjoyed by the bonfire. Right down the road there is the Burtchville park that has public.

What to Expect When You Arrive
Right off the beaten path of M-25, our laid-back Lake Huron home retreat sits on a quiet suburban street. As you pull onto the property off Lakeport Drive, your see what BEAUTIFUL Lake Huron has to offer any time of year. Shrubbery and evergreen trees provide PRIVACY with a standard child’s swing set and slide will provide extra fun for the kids. In the warmer months and just steps away from the entrance you’ll find a picnic table and barbeque for some outside grilling.

Walking into the lake home through your private entrance off a large outdoor deck, you’ll notice the sunporch windows light the way revealing the laid-back atmosphere, a comfy living room and BIG picture window with a wide view of the lake. The charming bedrooms and sunporch include AC. The spacious kitchen includes a full-sized dishwasher, refrigerator, stove/oven and kitchen table for family dining. Beyond the kitchen, a beautiful wooden screen offers privacy for a big bedroom boasting a queen--sized bed and TV. Lots of storage is available next to the quaint bathroom with full tub and you’ll note the hall leading to the primary bedroom suite in the front of the home. Here you’ll find another kitchenette, private primary bedroom and bathroom with a shower. To really appreciate what this

Even though the shoreline is only a casual walk down the driveway (about 100 steps from the door), an extended driveway gives guests the flexibility to transport any gear, including kayaks, paddle boards or floats right to the water’s edge. On our beach, you’ll find a permanent bonfire pit and wooden swing. The romantic, lighted gazebo might just invite you to sit awhile with a warm cup of cocoa, or your morning coffee or tea.

What does Michigan’s Sunrise Coast Have to Offer?
Lakeport is centrally located on Michigan's thumb coast and is within minutes of gas, golfing, wine tasting and live entertainment at the theater in Lexington. To the south, Port Huron is known as the Maritime Capital of the Great Lakes with unique places such as the Huron Lightship and Museum. Downtown Port Huron along Black River has entertainment and sports events including the Bayview Mackinac Yacht RACE. This sailing tradition is one of the largest fresh-water sporting events in the WORLD and has grown into the greatest summer CELEBRATION. The Blue Water Bridge is a great gateway linking the USA to Canada (bring your passport). As the second largest country in the world(land mass), Canada is filled with historical wonders, outdoor exploration and a casino just off the bridge and all about 20 minutes away from our Lake Huron Home.

On the thumb coast, Lakeport is its own hidden LUCKY CHARM with a bank, market, restaurant, barber, pizza/ice cream parlor and tavern you can travel to by foot with your family or pet. Just 10 minutes south on M-25, you’ll find gas stations along with the Birchwood Mall which offers a carousel music ride for all ages in the food court and AMC theater. Restaurants and major retail stores are located conveniently close by.
