I was hoping to relax by the fireplace but it’s very small and directly across from the checkin desk, a literal desk and chair, so I would be awkward. The second floor did have a small sitting room and free Kuerig coffee, tea, hot chocolate. Free, safe parking lot next to the inn. Breakfast, (anything from the menu, plus juice, coffee), is included. The bananas Foster French toast and bacon were delicious. I did not have a good dinner at the inn, though, and the waitress and Maitre d’ that evening, or the desk clerk the next day seemed to care. Several things went wrong, plus the waitress told me there would be a delay as my entree was burned and she refused to serve, and they were remaking it. But it was also burned. I would love to return. "

Welcome to Bancroft Cottage, a charming oasis in the heart of town. Stay in one of the village's original homes, built in 1824 and lovingly restored with modern amenities. From the fully furnished interior to the beautifully landscaped yard and patio, you'll find a relaxing space located within steps of shops, restaurants, the Farmers Market, the TJ Evans Bike trail, and Denison University. Truly the best location in the village!

We offer a unique setting for guests visiting Granville and its surroundings. You can expect a quiet residential neighborhood of historic homes, steps from dining and retail experiences as well as Denison University. The house has 3 upstairs bedrooms as well as a queen sized pull out sofa bed downstairs. 2 of the bedrooms have queen sized beds. The third bedroom has 2 twin beds. Full bathroom is downstairs with a 1/2 bath upstairs. Snuggle up by the fire inside the cottage during colder months, or relax on the patio surrounded by greenery when it's warm. The master bedroom has a King bed, closet and desk. The 2nd bedroom has a 2 twin beds and a closet. There is tons of natural light in this place and beautiful views of the surrounding woods. However you are not so isolated that you can't easily get to the highway.

You can enjoy some outside living with the fire-pit and groomed wooded paths.

Welcome to Granville, Ohio. Stay near the heart of Granville. Built in the year of 1850, was originally a School house! Newly remodeled, kitchen with stainless steel appliances. There is a patio, as well as a nice brick fireplace outside with a large pad for your friends and family. Five minutes from the Granville Farmers market on Saturday mornings, as well as the Bike trail. Denison University is within 5 miles. 30 minutes from Easton town Center if you want to do shopping in the area. The living room provides additional space with a comfy sofa bed for extra guests, as well as space for an air mattress. Enjoy modern conveniences like a washing machine, WiFi, AC, and heating during your stay.

Welcome to Manwaring House. As stated in the description this is a historic colonial home, but was moved and rebuilt in 1995. So all the systems in the home are modern. The home is 4500 sq ft. It is three floors.

This pre-revolutionary home was moved from New London Connecticut in 1995 and rebuilt in Granville. This Georgian home played a prominent role in the Revolution and the War of 1812 and played host to two US presidents. The home has four bedrooms and 3.5 baths. A gourmet kitchen and luxurious primary bath. Tranquil salt water heated pool. Plus fresh eggs from our our chickens

There are three bedrooms on the second floor. One is the primary with an attached bath. The bedroom has a king size bed. There is a flat screen mounted on the wall. All TV's in the house are equipped with AppleTV. This room has a wood burning fireplace with a beautiful mantle. A closet is available. The bathroom has been recently renovated and features a freestanding tub and open shower. The other two bedrooms have queen beds and closets and beautiful views of the grounds. There is a full bath for these two rooms to share. The suite in the attic has a queen bed and it's own bathroom with a shower. The room is very charming with 3 dormer windows with beautiful views.

The first floor has a center hall entry with stairs to the second floor. The floors on this floor are the originals from the 1700's. The living room has seating for 5 with a frame television. There is a wood burning fireplace as well. The dining room has a round table with seating for 6. There is also a wood burning fireplace with colonial mantle. The library has a cozy wood burning fireplace and a leather sofa. This room played host to James and Dolly Madison, who were good friends with Mr. Manwaring. Andrew Jackson was also a visitor.

The kitchen was recently renovated keeping in mind the historical home. A large island made of marble is in the center. A table for 4 is in the room. The highlight of the room is large original cooking fireplace. This has been converted to gas for easy use.

The grounds are like being in the middle of a park, with many places to sit and relax. The pool is heated and salt water. The deck is covered in travertine. There are floor loungers with umbrellas. Here you will also see Hebe our recent antique statue find. Goddess of eternal youth, a nice one to have around. The back deck has two sofas with an umbrella for sunny days. Between them is a fire pit for chilly fall nights. At the edge of the forest is a outdoor dining area with seating for 8.

There is chicken coop back in forest. They are all free range. They keep to themselves. We let them out in the morning and put them to bed every night. Because them needing tending, we stay in the basement apartment which has a separate entrance. We are available if any issues arise. Interaction is at the guest’s discretion.

Parking is available at the end of crushed granite driveway.

Granville is a quaint New England style village and home to Denison University. The village has shops and some great restaurants. In the summers come watch polo games on the front lawn of Bryn Du Mansion. The village is 30 miles from Columbus and Ohio State, Crew stadium and Blue Jackets arena.

The newly renovated space includes a stocked kitchen with plenty of off street parking. This prime location is just minutes from downtown Granville & Denison University; enjoy exploring the hiking trails in the preserve, shoping & dining in town, or attending a polo match at Bryn Du mansion. Denison & Raccoon Valey golf courses are also minutes away.

The master bedroom has a King bed, closet and desk. The 2nd bedroom has a 2 twin beds and a closet. There is tons of natural light in this place and beautiful views of the surrounding woods. However you are not so isolated that you can't easily get to the highway.

You can enjoy some outside living with the fire-pit and groomed wooded paths.

A 900 SF condo was added onto the house where a tenant has resided for 12 years. There is a shared common entry through the garage that allows access to their condo. Guests will not have garage access.

- "The house is great" - "Initially, we booked this property because we needed a place to stay that was in close proximity to Denison University. The location of the home met our needs beautifully. The driveway is narrow and steep, but easily traversed this time of year (August). The home itself needs some attention and deep cleaning. It is really unique and could be absolutely beautiful with some additional attention, cleaning and updates. Also of note, the spiral stairway to the third floor (where the bedrooms were located) is very steep and narrow so it may be challenging for some."
