This property is attached to the owner's home, but he has done a lot of work to give Cabin 6 Retreat its own space. A 500 ft. driveway was put in so that guests have their own access to the cabin without using the main dwelling's driveway. The homeowner typically stays at his other property.

The bad: satellite tv was out a lot of the time because it rained most of the time we were there. Not unexpected. There is a small hole in one window to the big bedroom. Almost looks like a bb hit it. We had problems with 1 of the storm doors staying closed. I tightened up the handle and it was fine after that. The lighting is very poor. Some brighter bulbs would be great. The good: the beds are pretty comfortable. The whole place was spotless and there were no odors at all. The view is amazing! The hot tub is great but the cover has seen better days. If you need a cell signal, forget it. I had one (att) in certain places in the yard but only for a minute or 2. If darkness and being in the wilderness scares you, dont go. But we are planning our next visit and hopefully in better weather. If we could have stayed longer, we would have. Highly recommended!"

Our craft house is set next to our Geneva lodge which houses up to 72 persons. These two units are are about 50 yards apart but still neighboring, meaning there is a possibility that there will be a large neighboring group that has already booked and the craft house is still left available. We have never had any issue with any of our guest booking the craft house and being next door to the groups in the lodge, however if this would be a situation that would cause discomfort or any issue please send us a message before you book to insure that the lodge is not booked for your dates.

We would like to inform our Potential guest for the month of October that every Friday night in October, our Geneva Hills property will be hosting a festival called firelight Fridays. We inform you this because there will be increased activity and people on the grounds during these events. If you wish to stay during these dates, you are more than welcome to participate in all the festivities. It should be noted that the craft house is more secluded and away from these activities than any other building. There is a high probability that any of these activities would not even be a bother or any issue, we just want to make sure this is known before hand so travelers are not caught off guard or unhappy by not being told about this.

Deer Haven is nestled back in the woods. Right on the edge of Hocking County the cabin is within a short driving distance of several area attractions. A great couples cabin just to get away from it all. ( There’s no Wi-Fi and very Limited cell service.)
