Welcome to the Cabin by the Pond, a hexagon A Frame cabin in the Hocking Hills at Laurel Springs Farm.

Enter the cabin to a remarkable full wall of windows and wood slices that highlight the 28-foot towering A Frame. In addition to the structure itself, this cabin has many distinctive features including the first-floor suspended porch-swing style queen bed, a rolling bookcase door, a live-edge drop down dining table. There is even a large red slipper tub with rainfall shower that accents a repurposed slate wall.

The cabin is complete with a fully equipped galley-style kitchen, stained concrete flooring throughout the first floor, sliding patio doors along with two sets of functional French doors with a third French door set as a backdrop for the suspended log bed. The reading area in the loft features Amish-built rockers from which you can watch the sunsets and a queen log bed.

Guests will enjoy the fresh spring water drawn from the private multi-home spring water system heated by the on-demand hot water system.

Outdoor features include the private round hot tub, park style charcoal grill set inside cultured stone, propane fire pit, front deck with built-in benches, patio table and seating and “Mom’s” flower garden.

Secluded, yet close to Hocking Hills Parks and local amenities and adventures. Several acres out of the 67-acre farm are available for you to roam, including access to Lance's Pond and the fishing shack where you will find fishing poles and basic tackle for catch and release fishing. Ask about our seasonal offerings including blueberries, blackberries, chestnuts and other fruits from our orchard and even flowers are available with separate arrangements. Perfect for newlyweds, anniversaries, birthday celebrations and other special occasions and we very much appreciate the part we get to play in such beautiful memories.

So, there are conveniences and attractions nearby, but they are completely out of site as you go into seclusion at the cabin!

Other on-site activities such as walking the trails on the hill overlooking the canyon, barns and pond. Drop a line to catch a fish - we offer catch-and-release bluegill and bass and the occasional turtle from the dock on our spring-fed pond using our simple homemade cane poles. Bait is available in Laurelville, or use a piece of hot dog to catch a bluegill!

The roads leading to Luxe One are paved but narrow and maintained by the township. The driveway of our cabin is hilly with loose gravel. In snowy conditions, the surrounding roads and driveway may be slippery. A 4x4 vehicle is recommended throughout the winter months. Drive at your own risk.

- "This home was wonderful. We enjoyed every part of it!" - "The only hiccup was having little to zero service at the cabin but we found that detail refreshing. When we arrived, our key code wouldn't work because the internet was down but Jami answered on the first thing and quickly fixed the problem from Toledo. The house was so clean and full of new "green" amenities. It is new, modern and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was stocked for a chef! The ONLY thing I might add is a good old fashioned drip coffee pot. It has a Nespresso(with limited pods- and you can't buy those at a store) & a French press pot that only makes 2 cups at a time and we just couldn't get the consistency down, (having not been familiar with a French press). Otherwise it was a perfect location for 2 couples or a few friends with dual primary suites. Close to all the things Hocking Hills has to offer and a great spot to just relax, chef it up at home, listening to albums on their record player and the sounds of nature outdoors. Would definitely recommend."

Located on the edge of the pine forest that shelters the rest of our cozy log cabins, stands the Hitchin' Post. From the elevated screened-in front porch, you can sit and relax in the breathtaking view of the forest and valleys found in the Hocking Hills region. The main floor of this rustic, spacious barn includes a large great room/living room, kitchen and dining area, joined together by an old-fashioned gas log stove. The large, tiled bath is also on the main floor, and sports a full tub/shower. Three bedrooms, one with a King-sized bed, one with a Queen-sized bed, and another with a Bunk Bed, allow guests privacy and comfort. Enjoy the quiet beauty visible from the 2 covered, screened-in porches where you can lounge in all weather conditions. Just 1/2 mile down a winding road from the Rock House trail, you will find a 2-acre property overlooking the woods. As you head down the long driveway to the cabin, you'll probably be tempted to roll down your car windows to let in the fresh wooded air and sounds of nature. As you look around and see the firepit area (usually stocked with wood), hot tub (heated & ready to enjoy), and the charming one-of-a-kind cabin, you'll start to feel the stress melt and excitement build.

You will enter through the 3 seasons room. A place you'll return to later for a cocktail, snack, and game of cards at the bistro table. Or, perhaps you will find yourself getting lost in a novel or catching a power nap on the day bed after a vigorous hike!

You'll go through the main cabin door into the kitchen, remodeled in 2022 and stocked with the tools you need to cook a full meal (the owner is an avid cook and has stocked accordingly), or enjoy your favorite hot beverage or cocktail.

Adjacent to the kitchen, you'll find the living room and dining area - a space that was the original cabin 100 years ago. We added the technology and comfort you expect today while keeping the original character intact - you'll find what you need for a cozy experience - a sofa with a queen pullout, comfy chairs, a remote-controlled gas fireplace, and a 55" smart TV with a DVD player connected. You can enjoy what you've prepared in the kitchen in a cute dining area with seating for up to 4. You will also find a corner cabinet stocked with things that fuel fun and connection with each other... board games, Jenga, drinkware and more!

As you enter the master bedroom, you'll notice the airy feeling created by the soaring ceilings and shiplap walls. Warning: After sleeping in the new kind beg with a Casper matters, you may have trouble getting out of bed in the morning - but perhaps you don't need to! - "This is a very cute cabin. Pictures are accurate of property. The location was nice to attractions. If you are traveling with others you should know the only bathroom is off of the bedroom area, there is a barn style sliding door but it doesn’t stay shut. Not an issue for us but if you need more privacy it might be. We didn’t cook much but the kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. It even had a crockpot. Bed was comfortable as was the living room furniture. We would stay here again. "

Hot Tub: Use only provided striped towels, keep the cover on when not in use, and avoid temperature changes.

Septic System: Only flush toilet paper. No garbage disposal—please toss food scraps in the trash.

Violations may result in a $300 fine and/or forfeiture of your security deposit.

All guests must sign a renter agreement prior to arrival. A $300 security deposit hold will be placed and released within five days after checkout, pending no damage or rule violations.
