WE LIVE HERE on the property. Our home is located about 250' from the cottage. The cottage is semi secluded & due to the foliage we can barely see it, but we're close enough to help if you need something. You may see us out doing yard work, but other than that, we stay out of sight.

Welcome to Lynn's Retreat, our country cabin where you can relax and get away from it all. Sit on our large covered deck and watch nature at her best. It's possible to see deer, turkey, fox and our resident ground hog. There is one bedroom with a queen bed and a loft with twin beds. The view is incredible from the loft and the front deck. Cozy up to the gas fireplace or the outdoor fire pit. No need to wash dishes as there is a dishwasher, also a full size stove with oven, and a small refrigerator. You can wash your clothes before going home in the washer/dryer unit. We recently installed central heat and air, also.
Just bring yourself, personal items, your favorite movies, books and/or music and sit back and enjoy. Towels, bed sheets, trash bags, all cooking utensils are provided. We are located within a 30 minute drive from five different lakes for fishing. You can also visit our local Amish Store and Bakery. Check-in is 4:00 pm and check-out is 11:00 am.

While the VRBO listing is accurate, the family agrees that it undersells how nice it actually is! The home sits atop a hill offerng amazing views of the rolling terrain that let us start the day right watching the sunrise and even deer passing through during the day! The home is very comfortable and the amenities set it apart. The game room in the basement is paired with one in the huge garage. And the heated pool and hot tub are great - we spent everyday swimming and lounging poolside, taking in the beautiful scenery. The owner has equipped the vacation rental with amenities to make your stay more enjoyable. Unfortunately, we cannot refund monies or relocate guests due to any of these (TV, VCR, DVD, gas log fireplace, jetted tub, hot tub, pool table, gaming system, small appliances, etc.) not working or malfunctioning. No refunds will be made for acts of God, loss of electrical power, water, air conditioning, or cable outages. In the event of a mechanical failure, we will make every effort to have all reported malfunctions corrected as promptly as possible. All our properties are privately owned.

We supply enough consumables such as toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher pods, laundry det, trash bags etc...to get started. If you have multiple guests, long stays, or use a lot of these items be prepared to bring your own or pickup at one of the local convenience stores nearby. We do not restock these items while being rented.

We have a 116 acres farm with rolling hills, wooded area along with the pastures. This is our family home we share the space with our guests. Home built in Jan 2016 we want share the country experience with everyone. We have two suites for rent, with attached private bathroom. Please indicate which suite you are interested in,(Family or Duel Queen) Feel free to stay for just a day if you are driving through or a week if you have things to do in the area. This is a rural area and most things are closed on Sundays. Plenty of restaurants, local and chain type 5 miles to town. The area has hunting and fishing areas within 30 minutes. Greg works the farm is available throughout the day. WiFi is available, cell reception is spotty.

Enjoy this newly transformed one-bedroom cottage located on a family-owned farm on the outskirts of Minford.
We are located within 5 minutes of Rose Valley Animal Park and the White Gravel Mines. For those who enjoy a little drive, there are many state and national parks within an hour.

This cottage has 3 rooms: a bedroom, dinning/kitchen area, and bathroom/closet. The bedroom has a full size bed with a smart tv that you can use with the wifi. We have a full size air mattress that is available upon request. Feel free to enjoy the beauty and sounds of nature from the front porch. There is not an oven or stove but we have provided a hot plate, microwave, toaster, Ninja Foodi, crockpot and keurig; in addition, you may bring a grill. We will also supply farm fresh eggs for you to enjoy.

We also have laundry services available for additional costs.

Guests may walk the farm and look at the animals but please be aware of the white string electric fence on the inner side. We asked that you do not enter any fields or barns for your own safety.

We do live in other houses on the farm and offer contactless check-in and out; however, if there are any questions or necessities needed, we are glad to stop by. Feel free to ask for suggestions on local entertainment, food, and activities.

We also own a Venue at the opposite end of the property with great outside places to take pictures etc... You will not have access to the venue but are welcome to take outdoor pictures or walk around the Venue if no events are going on. If events are happening we ask you repect their privacy.

If you like getting out in the country you wont regret this. There are grocery and gas stations 3 miles away in the Village of Oak Hill. Or you can head to the county seat of Jackson about 20 minutes away where you will find local restaurants or brewery and a selection of different retail. There is a pond behind this property and another at the Venue. We also rent kayaks with or without delivery to use on Lake Jackson.

Whether you want to kayak, bike, hike or just relax you can find it all near us.

Please note per rules (and ours), the person who books the reservation is the primary tenant of the apartment. If the primary tenant has a guest (limit of 1), please have the guest register with the booking as well. Guests booking this MUST be using their photo as a profile photo.

The space is for one or two adults and is not appropriate for children. Pets are not permitted we love animals too, but we don't make exceptions due to possible allergies of other renters.
