- "Lovely" - "I love old, historic hotels. Not sure how old this one is but probably at least a hundred. The staff was super friendly and inviting. There was a cozy lobby with an inviting (gas) fire in the fireplace. Grand staircases with giant, old wooden handrails. The layout is kind of meandering with lots of little nooks and landings with seating. We got a double room with a full bathroom in between and a half bath tucked away in a corner of one of the rooms - perfect for our family of five. The hotel is very well kept but has remarkably rolling and dipping floors due to its age. A little dizzying to walk through but easily made up for by its grandiose nature and old-school character. Plenty of parking and right on the main street where we found a pizza place, really yummy taco place and a delicious and well-provisioned coffee shop - all within a 1 minute walk. The town is a beautiful setting with two rivers, a train station and all kind of old buildings. Would love to come back!"

The property management group was amazing. They responded promptly to all of our requests, including a last-minute extension to our stay and a late checkout that was due to an unexpected issue that came up for us."

- Upon arrival, we aim to ensure your safety, proper access to the home, and guest features. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to Field and Farm by Portoro directly.
- Known damages incurred during your stay must be reported to the property manager immediately.
- Before check in, we will send you detailed directions to ensure a seamless arrival.
- Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. Check-out time is 10:00 a.m.
- We cannot guarantee early check ins or late checkouts. When it is possible to check in early or check out late, there will be a fee for anything outside of a one hour window within our standard times. - Some homes have cameras for external monitoring only.

Our goal is that your vacation exceed your expectations. Field and Farm by Portoro communicates via email and phone. After a booking is confirmed, rental agreement will be emailed to the guest for e-signature. Check-in instructions are sent by email and text message 14 days (or less) prior to arrival date. We offer convenient keyless entry for self-check in. We do typically check in with guests by text 1-2 times during their stays to ensure a 5-star experience and remain available for any questions. We are available to guests 24/7 for any inquiries.

As you enter the property, you are greeted by the welcoming family room, equipped with an oversized couch and large-screen TV, inviting you to relax and enjoy your favorite movie or TV show. Adjacent to the family room is a spacious dedicated office space, complete with two large monitors and a comfortable desk and seating, providing the perfect working environment for those who may need to work remotely. Both the family room and office space have access to the first-floor deck, offering spectacular views of the wooded property.

The first floor of our vacation home also features a full-sized washer and dryer, located in the closet behind the office space, providing guests with convenient laundry facilities. Continuing down the hall, you'll find the first of two full bathrooms, complete with a bathtub and shower combo. The first two bedrooms are located just beyond the bathroom, with the first bedroom to the left featuring a full-sized bed, large screen TV, and ample storage space. Across the hall from the full bedroom, you'll find the bunk room, a fun and lively space for children with two twin beds, a large screen TV, and two gaming consoles, a retro Nintendo console with 20 preinstalled games, and an Xbox One for endless entertainment options.

As you head upstairs to the main living space of the home, you'll discover the beautifully updated kitchen, complete with all the amenities necessary to prepare a feast for your friends and family, including a spacious bar and dining area with direct access to the large second-floor deck overlooking the breathtaking natural scenery. The dining room leads to a second gathering space with plush furniture, providing the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing evening watching a movie with loved ones.

To the left of the staircase, you'll find the Primary suite, an elegant and spacious retreat boasting a comfortable queen-sized bed, large screen TV, and a roomy closet for storage. The en-suite bathroom features a bathtub and shower combo, offering the perfect place to unwind and relax.

To your left you will find the great room with a large smart TV and a cozy wood burning fireplace. Continue to the elegant formal dining room, with enough seating for up to 12. The kitchen – fully stocked with for all your cooking needs, lies just beyond. You’ll also enjoy the breakfast room with stocked coffee and wonderful views out to Dewey’s Pond.

The inviting "Map Room," located on the first floor, off the formal dining room, sets the stage for cozy gatherings and memorable moments. Complete with an attached bathroom featuring a relaxing tub, this delightful spot is perfect for the kids to hang out and even offers a pull-out, queen-sized sleeper sofa for added convenience.

As you explore the second floor, you will discover a spacious master bedroom at the top of the stairs, offering serene views of Dewey's Pond. The light-filled sitting room welcomes you with a cozy queen sizebed. Step through the open closet area to find a queen-sized bed, accompanied by a comfortable lounge/dressing room and ensuite bathroom (tub only). - "We came up to visit friends in Quechee for the 4th of July weekend. The property is beautiful - wonderful views of Dewey Pond from the back porch. The only thing that wasn't quite up to par was the gas grill - it was not properly maintained and it was not functional. I'm sure this issue will be resolved for future visitors, but it was a bit of a bummer on a summer holiday weekend." - "We had a lovely New Years Friends Weekend at the Dewey House. If you're sensitive to road noise the property is right by roads that have cars driving by so you don't get the quiet you might expect from the photo. A cozy and quiet space close to Dartmouth College (8 mins), Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital (12 mins), and White River Junction Center (5 mins). You will have a private entrance to the space and access to a yard, a 3 season patio room, bedroom with a queen sized bed and queen pullout couch, a separate dining area, grill, and a private bathroom. There is no kitchen but there is a mini fridge, table, coffee/tea bar, plates, utensils, mugs, and a microwave.

Neighborhood is quiet and safe. Kilowatt Park North and South are right across the street and have ample space for walking along the river and through the woods. There is a picnic area, boat launch, dog park, dog beach, and lots of green space. Another popular hiking spot called the Hazen trail is about a half mile away. There is also a bike path across the street leading to a playground a little over a mile away. The local bus stop is also about a block away. This location is the perfect spot to take a relaxing stroll after a long day of work or a busy day of traveling, or settle into your space for a quiet night in.

- "Great location." - "We had a great time at the Morey Mountain house. Super comfy beds, a nice cozy fireplace and great kitchen to cook and hang out in. Close to town where we had a fabulous lunch at Simon Pearce restaurant and a short drive to Woodstock. The perfect house for our girls weekend." - "This is a great house in a great location. Pros: *10 minutes from beautiful Woodstock, 45 minutes from Killington mountain resort and 1 hour 25 minutes from gorgeous Stowe! *great heating system in home and nice fireplace. *beds are very comfortable. Plenty of linens, pillows and blankets. *bathrooms are nicely heated. *kitchen well stocked *mud room is a hit! There’s a portable heater in there so it’s nice and cozy when you walk in the house. Cons: * The management company that is in charge of the upkeep of this house is doing a very poor job. * The house did not feel clean and was very dusty. * Both doors on the main level we’re broken and did not lock. We spent a whole week here with unlock the doors. * There is a lot of hoarding in this house. It feels like every time people leave stuff behind. It just stays here in the management company does nothing to clean it up or make it look fresh * The pantry is full of board games that are all broken and missing pieces. All of this should have been purged by now. * The basement is full of toys that you can tell have been down there for years and years. * All in all the house needs a good purging of trash and things that are unnecessary * They do not do a good job of leaving starter things for the guests…For example, there was only one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and nothing extra."

Our goal is that your vacation exceed your expectations. Quechee Lakes Rentals by Portoro communicates via email and phone. After a booking is confirmed, rental agreement will be emailed to the guest for e-signature. Check-in instructions are sent by email and text message 14 days (or less) prior to arrival date. We offer convenient keyless entry for self-check in. We do typically check in with guests by text 1-2 times during their stays to ensure a 5-star experience and remain available for any questions. We are available to guests 24/7 for any inquiries.

Welcome to this stunning property that perfectly blends modern elegance and warm, comfortable living spaces. Upon entering through the front porch, you will be greeted by breathtaking views of the expansive backyard through the floor to ceiling windows, providing an immediate sense of calm and relaxation. To your left is an impeccably designed gourmet kitchen, the dining room, and an open concept living room. The kitchen comes complete with top-of-the-line appliances, ample counter space, and seating for four at the bar top counter. The livingroom is tastefully decorated with plush furniture and a state-of-the-art stereo system so that you can relax to your favorite tunes. The dining room, conveniently located next to the kitchen, easily accommodates six people at the dining table (which expands and comfortably holds up to eight when the extensions are installed).

To the right of the entryway is a spacious family room with comfortable seating and a cozy, centrally located gas fireplace – the perfect place to unwind after a day of skiing or exploring the surrounding area's natural beauty. Above the family room through a private staircase, you will find the second primary suite featuring an equally luxurious king bed, as well as an elegantly designed ensuite bathroom with a rainfall shower.

Continuing through the living room, you will find the first of two primary suites, complete with a luxurious king size bed and a well-appointed ensuite bathroom with a soothing rainfall shower. Two additional bedrooms are located on the second floor, up the staircase in the kitchen area. Here, you will find a charming twin bedroom with two twin beds and another bedroom with a cozy queen size sleigh bed, both featuring vaulted ceilings with ceiling fans for optimal comfort. Between the bedrooms is a full bathroom with a relaxing jetted tub and shower, and the loft area boasts a serene yoga studio for those looking to stay limber during their stay. • Early check-ins or late check-outs: If the property happens to be ready earlier than the standard 3 pm check-in time on the day of your arrival, in most cases an early arrival option may be available when confirmed with the main office. Late check-outs must be confirmed with main office staff prior to the date of departure.

This home offers exclusive access to The Quechee Club. There is something for everyone at The Quechee Club, an outdoor enthusiast's haven and every outdoor whim.

In the summer months, members and renters can enjoy several outdoor activities. The Club offers two championship 18-holegolf courses, Lakeland & Highland, with stunning scenery and conditions. Tennis courts are spread throughout the community with professional tennis lessons and enjoyable competition. Renters can also enjoy the state-of-the-art aquatic center featuring an indoor & outdoor pool with an active kid'szone. Likewise, you can venture over to the beach at Lake Pinneo and rent a kayak or canoe. Then head to The Club to enjoy a cocktail by the pool, a meal on Dewey's Deck, or fine dining at Davidson's.

In the winter months, Ski Quechee is our featured amenity. Open Friday through Sunday, take the family out for an exciting day on expertly groomed terrain. You can enjoy our wonderful base lodge and aprèsski gatherings with activities for the whole family. The Club also maintains heated platform tennis with warming huts through the cold months to keep your paddle game sharp. The Club features a full winter recreational calendar, including snowshoeing, x-country skiing, sledding, and much more! Outside of our seasonal offerings, there is so much more at Quechee. The Club offers a modern fitness center with daily fitness classes and top-notchequipment. Hiking trails are spread throughout the community woods. Quechee is home to several special events and incredible dining experiences.

- "The house was perfect for our family of five and was everything that was advertised. We had clear instructions on how to work everything and the setting was perfect. Private yet close to everything that you needed to access in Quechee and Woodstock. 5 Star for sure!" - "A mix of business and pleasure. The house was an ideal base camp for our informal discussions and getting to know each other better. We had a couple meals there - well equipped kitchen and functional grill made it easy. A relaxing productive stay for sure!"

Escape to a beautiful reinvention of an 1850s barn w/ spa amenities, panoramic Mtn views, chef's kitchen, 4 bedrms/ 4 bathrooms. This 4000 sq ft. Home has 2 enormous living rooms!

After a hot tub or sauna, make dinner before the mountains or fire. Head to the huge barn for ping pong, darts, games, movie, or sauna. Enjoy peace & nature. Yet Quechee 2 min away; 5 min to White River Jct; 15 min to Woodstock, Dartmouth & New Lebanon. Killington 35 min. Sorry, pets no longer allowed.

The space
Hathaway House is situated on the site of the original Hathaway horse farm, which dates to the mid nineteenth century. It looks west over our 10 acre open field property and out onto the Green Mountains. You won’t believe the views at sunset —and might even catch a hot air balloon floating there (or landing in our field!). This is peaceful retreat with spa-like amenities, breath-taking views and close to everything in the Upper Valley of Vermont. Hathaway’s extremely high ceilings , windows on all sides, and position at the top of the hill keep it cool in the summer (with new window ACs in bedrooms as insurance against the very few warm nights). We have not had a complaint yet! While the fireplace, radiant heat floors, and 4 zone baseboard- heating system keep it cosy all winter.

You enter the house into a spacious mudroom with built-in storage to handle ski equipment and shoes. The nucleus of the house is off to the left: the original 1850s enormous barn that holds 2 seating areas, a huge flat screen TV, ping pong table, foos ball, tons of games, & access to the sauna. The barn room opens onto the huge deck with 2 grills and the hot tub and a view of the Green Moiuntains.

To the right of the mudroom, you can find the recent renovation which added amenities that transformed Hathaway House into a 4000 square foot modern farmhouse. Here you will find our great room with a fireplace and fully stocked chef's kitchen. Relax before the view of the mountains and fire. Or tuck in for quiet reading on the adjacent 3-season screened porch. Or decide to get some work done before dinner in the separate study next to the great room, accessed through a set of pocket doors. EC FIBER INTERNET arrived plus a whole house back up generator.

Upstairs Hathaway house boasts two primary bedrooms: each is very large with lovely views and a queen size bed, new mattresses, and en suite bathrooms (one of which includes a giant soaking tub for two!) A third cosy bedroom holds a new full mattress and completes the second floor.

Upstairs you will find access to the 4th bedroom on floor 2.5 : a 2-level room tucked high away in the former hay loft of the barn. This space is very large and feels private but opens onto the barn. It is set up with a queen bed on the top level and a trundle single bed in the lower lounge area that also contains a desk, couch, bean bags, and a smaller second new smart TV.

Please note: Hathaway is a family home & NOT for events or parties. The internet can be slow due to rural location. Parking is limited to 4 vehicles MAX: 2 inside garage and 2 outside.
The wood burning stove in the barn IS NOT for use.
The fireplace in the great room IS- wood provided in the garage.
No smoking in the house.
The kitchen is well stocked and there are propane & charcoal grills on the deck.

Wood stove in barn game room is NOT SAFE for use.

Unless given express permission by Hilary, checkouts after 12 will result in $150 nuisance fee and after 3pm will result in an extra night fee. Failure to follow checkout instructions will result in extra cleaning fees based on staff's reporting. Leave all games and furniture as you found them.
WINTER GUESTS: snow tires or 4-WD are advisable in case you experience fresh snow. Hathaway is a town road and kept clear but it is steep at the end.
If you are at the house when snow is expected, PARK in the GARAGE so the drive can be plowed and plan to wait for town plow. 4 places max for parking.

Stunning views, plenty of room to hang out in alot of different parts of the house, master bed and bath were great, and a good location as well...would stay there again!"

This spacious home, with a classic mountain chalet aesthetic, offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Choose between the multiple terraces to take your morning coffee to and enjoy nothing but peace and quiet as you surround yourself by only the sounds of the woods.

On colder nights, curl up by the woodstove and fieldstone hearth – a perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine or a cold beer after a full day of skiing. The floor to ceiling windows and expansive sectional couch completes this cozy living space. Move from the living room into the chef’s kitchen, complete with multiple ovens and professional-grade appliances. It’s not something your home cook will want to leave! Traveling with kids? The game room on the lower level will keep you and our guests up late into the night with a billiards table, darts, and a wet bar to keep the good times rollin’.

The master, at the end of the main sleeping wing, has a king and twin bed, making it a perfect space for a family with children. There is an attached ensuite with a shower and a beautiful soaking tub. Three more bedrooms complete the main floor. There are two queen bedrooms with adjoining jack and jill bathroom. • You’ll definitely need your own car, as there are limited taxis available. While the town itself is walkable, it will be necessary to drive to nearby hikes and sightseeing spots. The outer parts of town, such as South Woodstock, are only conveniently accessed by car.
• Bike rentals are available in the village, though biking in the commercial area of the village is discouraged, as the flow of people and cars can be concentrated. The terrain has many hills, and a mountain bike should be used to traverse such rugged areas.
