We allow up to 3 dogs of 50lb each, for $75 per pet per stay.
At the moment of booking, if you add you bring pets, Vrbo will add the first charge to the booking total, and we will request any additional ones.
If you want to bring more than 3 dogs or any over 50lb, please send us an inquiry, and we will approve on a case-to-case basis, at $150 per pet.

STAIRS
There are stairs to the upstairs floor where 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom are located. There are additional steps to get to the lakefront, but you can walk around via a shared driveway/private street and there are not steps.

LAKEFRONT/ROW BOAT
The lakefront area may be used by a neighbor who owns the row boat by the fire pit. The row boat is not available for use for our guests.

**1. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY**

**8. LOCK OUTS / KEYS**

Keyless codes are active during your stay. Lost keys or lockouts may incur up to a $150 fee.

**9. LINENS & SUPPLIES**

**10. ISSUES OR COMPLAINTS**

Beautiful waterfront home at the southern end of Skaneateles Lake. Located on the east side where you can enjoy long, sunny days on the private dock or the beach and breathtaking sunset views from the deck. 133 feet of private waterfront lake access! Bonfires on the beach are a wonderful end to a day at the lake.

The finished boathouse has a kitchenette with a refrigerator and water views. The rental includes use of three kayaks, a canoe, and a paddle boat.

The house is less than 30 minutes from the Village of Skaneateles, 25 minutes from Cortland or Homer, and 60 minutes from either the Ithaca or Syracuse Airports. Other local sights include the Carpenter Falls Nature Preserve and New Hope Mills. Walking distance to a playground, picnic area, basketball court, baseball field, and small public library.

This is a quiet, residential area. Maximum of 6 guests. We only accept bookings from guests who are at least 25 years of age. There are 35 stairs from the parking to the house, then a path down to the stairs to the dock (another 2 flights). The path to the water is shared but, once at the dock, you have a private dock, boathouse and beach.

Lovely restful lake cottage, home for many sun-freckled summers to the woman who when a young girl inspired J.D. Salinger’s character, Esme. Every room with a view, and with 267 feet of swimming and boating same-level frontage, the views are spectacular. Gorgeous stone and wood throughout. High ceilings, lots of light. Large porch for lakeside dining and relaxing along private grassy beach. Sleeps nine blissful souls. So quiet and peaceful in here, this must be what paradise is like.

Skaneateles Lake is a reservoir for the City of Syracuse. It is considered the cleanest of the Finger Lakes. There is a Finger Lakes Land Trust preserve directly behind our property (the trail is accessible from route 41). There are multiple parks and preserves (Bear Swamp State Forest, High Vista preserve etc.) surrounding the south end of the lake; the Land Trust is working to preserve this natural setting by connecting these properties into an “emerald necklace” around the south end.

The village of Skaneateles, 25 minutes to the north, is a well-known shopping, dining and tourist destination. They hold a music festival and boat show, have polo matches, run tour boat cruises and dinner cruises, and have free town band concerts. The town has many very fine restaurants from classic Victorian nine and twelve course meals at the Krebs to Doug’s Fish Fry, a local favorite. Boat rentals are available at the Skaneateles Marina a few miles south of the village.

We are located directly behind a local beauty salon and next to a gas station with a Dunkin attached for added convenience.

This is upstairs/downstairs apartment. In the upper level it has one main private bedroom with a queen size bed. Adjacent to the bedroom is a small sitting room area that has a trundle bed with 2 twin mattresses for additional sleeping. The kitchen and bathroom are in the upper level. The kitchen has access to a small porch balcony with stairs to the ground level. On the balcony is a small table with chairs to enjoy the outdoors. A large living room downstairs, has queen size pull-out couch for additional sleeping as needed. A dining area and laundry is also there for your use. There is a total of 3 Roku TVs in the apartment. Access to WIFI is also available.

The apartment has 2 attached garages that are not part of the rental and access is not permitted at this time. But otherwise, the whole apartment living area is available for use.

Homer is a centrally located village that is approximately 30 minutes from Syracuse to the North, Binghamton to the South, Ithaca to the Southwest and Skaneateles to the West. Each of these areas are easily accessible from the apartment location. We are within 3 miles to SUNY Cortland, 22 miles to Cornell University and Ithaca College and 32 miles to Syracuse University.

Expectation setting: The house is cozy and well-decorated but some rooms have out-dated wallpaper and finishes. We are slowly renovating the house. HOT TUB RULES:
We take our Guests safety and wellbeing very seriously and have rules in place to ensure that no one gets hurt while you enjoy your stay.

Failure to follow these rules will result in additional charges, asking the Guest to leave the property or both.

-No soap or oils are allowed
-Please shower before using the hot tub to remove all lotions and oils
-Chlorine is used as a sanitizer. Do not use the hot tub if you are allergic.
-No more than 7 people at a time
-Use the stairs to enter and exit the hot tub
-Do not use the hot tub alone
-Do not use the hot tub if the water temperature is more than 104˚F
-Absolutely NO glass of any kind allowed in or around the hot tub
-Anyone under 18 must be supervised by an adult. Children under 5 are not allowed
-Elderly or pregnant women should not use the hot tub
-People with heart disease, high or low blood pressure, diabetes or other illness should not use the hot tub
-People using alcohol or other drugs should not use the hot tub without consulting a physician
-No sex or nudity allowed in the hot tub
-Please do not pee in the hot tub
-Limit your time to 15 minutes and cool off before re-entry
-Do not use the hot tub cover as a table or a seat
-Please turn off the jets and put the hot tub cover back on after use

The hot tub / spa on the property poses a risk to any and all Guests on the property. These risks may result from a variety of circumstances including, but not limited to, the use or misuse of the equipment or facilities, from the activity itself, from the acts of Guests or others, or from the unavailability of emergency medical care.

Guest understands that a hot tub is available on the property for their private use. Guest assumes any and all liability from use of said hot tub. Guest will keep the hot tub closed and cover locked when not in use, and will supervise any children over the age of 5 and under the age of 18 when using the hot tub. By using the hot tub, Guest agrees to assume all liability from said use and hereby indemnifies Owner.

Guest specifically accepts ALL liability for use of the hot tub on the property and understands that Owner shall have no liability from any accidents, injuries, or death that may result from the proper or improper use of said hot tub. Guest accepts said liability by voluntary use of said hot tub.

The hot tub water is checked immediately after guests leave – in the event the water is ruined, and needs to be replaced because of food, beverages, soap, makeup, glass, dirt, etc… there will be a charge of $200.00 to clean, refill, heat and sanitize the hot tub and water.

Guest is aware that your stay at the Property involves risks that may result in serious bodily injury and/or death. Some of the risks include, but are not limited to, drowning, slips, trips, falls, cuts, adverse weather conditions, the acts or omissions of guests or visitors on the Property during the stay, and the condition of the Property. When you use the hot tub, you understand that the description of the risks above is not complete and that other risks or events that are known or unknown, anticipated or unanticipated may result in serious bodily injury and or/death.

Located on Spafford Landing (also known as Wickwire Point), our Waterfall Cottage overlooks a beautiful and private waterfall. The pristine waters of Skaneateles Lake are just 100 yards down the driveway, with great swimming, fishing and boating.

Our beach has unobstructed and dramatic views of the lake, and from our location on the east side of the lake, we enjoy spectacular sunsets, often around a bonfire.

Our 45-acre property abuts a 300-acre nature preserve with great hiking trails.

Cottage has 1 bedroom with double bed. Sleeping loft has three twin beds. The loft is great for children aged 5 and up (steep ladder might be a challenge for younger kids). 1 bathroom with shower. Wood stove (firewood included) and electric heaters for cool evenings. No TV, but WiFi is included.

Lakefront has level beach. We have a canoe and kayak (with paddles and life jackets). Sturdy rowboat with 6HP outboard (gas included) available for additional fee of $100. Mooring available if you have a boat.

The kitchen has everything but a dishwasher -- full size fridge, electric stove/oven, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker. Even a Cuisenart. Plenty of pots/pans/dishes, etc.

Dining table seats 4 comfortably, or 6 in a pinch. We also have an outside table/chairs for dinners al fresco. Propane grill on site (gas included).

We're a nice canoe/kayak ride from "Staghorn Point", where kids can find a Skaneateles treasure: staghorns -- actually, horn coral from when the area was under the ocean. Should you want to leave the lake, there are wineries, museums and other attractions in the area.

Our family summered in the Waterfall Cottage while our children were growing up, and we have wonderful memories. After we built a year-round house on the beach, we started renting out the Waterfall cottage. Most of our guests have stayed with us every summer for several years.

This is a year-round property located right on the beautiful South End and East Side (sunny side!) of Skaneateles Lake. Incredible views, swimmable water through September, heat and fully functioning fire place for Fall and Winter months. Dock will be in the water through late Fall. The property is on a quiet, dead-end road. September-May, only 1 home past ours is occupied. 20 minutes from Cortland, 30 min from Skaneateles, 40 minutes from Syracuse.

- "A wonderful classic Skaneateles lakefront home. Large, open floor plan with lots of light provided by windows and skylights. Great lake views and beachfront. The property was well equipped making for a comfortable stay. It sits adjacent to the Hinchcliff Family Preserve, a great place to hike and can be reached by hiking up from the back of the house, although a bit of a steep climb. Some very interesting cliffs near the quiet road into the property that might be promising for fossil hunting.The presence of a dog run was a convenient for care of the family pets. We had a great time over Thanksgiving and would love to spend a week there during the summer season."

The primary bedroom suite on the 2nd floor features a King log bed, an additional full bed, skylights, its own private balcony with elevated woodland views and a telescope for nighttime lunar exploration. The ensuite bath includes both a large whirlpool tub and walk-in shower. Additionally, a full-size washer and dryer will be found conveniently on the 2nd floor. The newly finished walk-out basement game room features a full-size billiard table and additional 65” smart TV and lounging area and can be found adjacent to an expansive basement bedroom featuring three queen beds.

Directly next to the Log Cabin is the Pool House, featuring a 13’x30’ indoor heated pool and new 6 person hot tub, with a separate half bath / changing area and a wall of glass doors leading out to a expansive patio area with a fire pit, BBQ grill, large outdoor dining/game set, and hammock with woodland and wildlife views. The swimming pool is heated to 82 degrees and is open year round.

Hiking trails connect you with nature on our private 104 acre wooded property with a winding stream featuring several small waterfalls. Be sure to bring your hiking gear to explore the property.

It's a tranquil atmosphere for the ultimate relaxing experience.

- "Property is a bit ways from town. Area is extremely peaceful. Cabin has plenty of space and nice open feel. Beforehand, owner was initially responsive however would have liked that to continue during our stay as we did not receive much during our stay. Listing should really mention steep spiral stairs to basement and to upstairs as for our small children needed help for safety as well as one adult who had a bad knee could not do these stairs. Recommend non slip treads for safety. Also recommend a bit of cleaning with a bleach product to jacuzzi and showers. Beds are very comfortable. Kitchen was stocked with basics. Indoor pool is quite large. Hot tub was clean. Lots of hammocks was nice. Closet doors in bed rooms need to be repaired but not a big deal for us. Laundry machine on top floor was convenient. Providing pool towels would be a nice addition. Speed limit in village of Homer changes quickly so watch your speed. No telescope on site.perfect for gathering of large family/group. We found a cd player in pool house. I would recommend bringing your own cds or possibly owner providing some more choices. Or better yet a Bluetooth speaker. Overall very nice place."
