A Solo 1-Room non-electric Pod Cabin for the forest loving adventurer who is looking for a quiet space in the woods to find peace. The Lookout Pod cabin is dedicated to a beloved Outdoorsman who was part of the Camp Earth Connection family. It sits on the edge of a hill looking over the wildlife ponds through a forest of hardwoods and pines. It has a single bed, a lantern, a small desk, and dresser. It is adjacent to miles of trails in the Hammond Hill State Forest. CEC and the cabins are an alcohol and drug free facility.

Access to hot showers, bathrooms ,high speed WiFi and other amenities at the main camp, a short walk from the cabin. The Lookout Pod is a unique and special wooden cabin for the solo outdoor adventurer. It has a rechargeable Lantern and fan, and for those who need to stay connected, WiFi is accessible on the deck and high speed WiFi is available at the main camp.

The Pod Cabins are a part of Camp Earth Connection (CEC), a small woodland campground, located on a beautiful parcel of land with 62 acres of forests and fields surrounded by the Hammond Hill State Forest. With just 18 cabins/campsites in total, each site is unique and offers different levels of privacy and solitude. Camp Earth Connection offers individuals and families a chance to connect with each other and nature in a peaceful beautiful setting. Alcohol and drugs are prohibited to ensure this peaceful atmosphere and to allow folks to find serenity through our natural environment.

At CEC we are environmentally conscientious and do our best to preserve the natural surroundings and natural resources. We incorporate composting and recycling into our daily routine. This one room log cabin is located in a small woodland campground (Camp Earth Connection) and is adjacent to the Hammond Hill State Forest with 20 miles of trails for hiking, biking and skiing. Campground facilities include a shower house with hot showers and clean compost toilets and a community pavilion with a Ping Pong table. WiFi is available in the main camp area. The cabin has a full size bed and bunk beds sleeping up to 4 people. It has a mini fridge, a microwave, and an electric hot water kettle. This is a drug and alcohol free facility. - "This was a very lovely property. There were a few little cabins and tents spread out on the grassy area in the woods. It was very quiet, and we still felt like we had our own privacy. The composting toilet and shower house was very well maintained, we didn’t feel uncomfortable using any of it. Ershay was a great host, gave us the lay of the land when we arrived so we knew where everything was and how to use it. Our cabin was cozy, had more ammenties than we expected (a fan, French press, towels, plus the listed microwave fridge and three beds). Would go back again!"

This two-bedroom house feels pastoral, but is 15 minutes from Cornell and 20 minutes from downtown Ithaca. Large living room features huge windows and a wood stove. Foodie kitchen has a massive island for cooking and entertaining. Main bedroom upstairs has a king bed; downstairs bedroom features a day bed with full mattress. The natural pool’s beauty and tranquility is complete with a lovely waterfall and our pet Koi! The Koi are always eagerly awaiting their koi treats from our guests. These treats can be purchased from our small Mercantile store along with horse treats, rabbit treats and bird treats. The mercantile also has snacks, local beverages and honey along with camp cooking supplies you may have forgotten.
Our fun little travelers trunk boutique has some interesting finds from our travels as well as local homemade items!

In addition to the natural pool, swinging tree hammocks, children’s playground, bistro tables everywhere, coin op laundry mat with 2 washers and 2 dryers and plenty of farmland to explore!
We border the lush and lovely Hammond Hill State forest. If you love cross country skiing, mountain biking and walks we border You have access to miles of state trails!! The barns and pastures are restricted from guests’ entrance. Scottland Yard community consists of several small clustered homesteads. Each Sunday is ‘Sunday funday’ BBQ at Scottland Yard from 2-7pm. Monday-Thursdays from 2-6 we have family swimming at Scottland Yard. Our guests often join us for this joyful time. If you happen to arrive or are enjoying the facilities during these hours, please know that you’re welcome to join us if you wish!

Family size 14x16 (inside demensions) wall tent!! We have had many requests for family accommodations. This tent has a queen bed and twin day bed with trundle making it perfect for 4. The tent has a small frig for your snacks and beverages as well as a coffee station. There are no inside tent toilets. We have beautiful restrooms with showers a feet away from the glamps located in our Great Hall. There is a charming outdoor shower and bathroom. There is a spacious 8x14 covered porch with a wine barrel bistro and 4 chairs. This glamp also has a fire pit and private park style grill with grilling tools.

It is the closest family rental unit to the pool and common areas, making it a big summertime hit for families with children and various adult friends getaways!
If your looking for a more secluded and tranquil getaway we advise renting the Peacock's Perch, Queens Quartets or Hobbit House. We also have 4 glamps (tents or cabins without showers or baths in the unit)

The kitchen in this little dwelling has a small under counter fridge with a tiny freezer, a small toaster oven, coffee pot, 2 burner cooktop, microwave and small sink.
All cooking and eating utensils are provided.

The bath has a shower, sink and toilet.
Bath towels, turkish beach towels are provided. There is also blow dryer for your convivence.

The bedroom has a queen size bed. All linens are provided. The common room has 3 twin beds that also function as a lounging area. The linens are provided in the large cabinet in the bedroom. For our guests comfort and well being, all beds are required to be made with the mattress protectors provided!

Outside is a lovely bistro table with umbrella just steps away from our natural pool. This unit has a charcoal grill and nearby that a firepit.

Monday-Thursdays from 2-6 we have family as well as guest swimming at Scottland Yard. Guests only on Fridays and Saturdays have use of the natural pool. Our guests that are staying through Sunday or arriving for their 4:00 check-in are more than welcome to join us for this joyful time every Sunday!

There are over 200 wineries in the Fingerlakes Region and many are within an hours drive. The closest one to us is Six Mile Creek Vineyard about 5 miles away. Visit waterfalls or state parks such as Buttermilk Falls, Taughannock, Robert H. Treman, Ithaca Falls.

The Coyotes Den Rustic One Room Cabins is NON-electric. It has screened windows and doors, and sleep 1 to 2 people with 2 twin beds. Parking is separate from campsites/cabins. Each campsite is a short 2-5 minute walk from parking and main camp. Wagons are provided to assist in moving your gear. Campers have access to all the campground facilities, including hot showers, compost toilet, campfire wood $, and high speed WiFi at the main camp. This cabin is situated in the forest under beautiful Pines, Hemlock and Aspen trees which provides shade and a wonderful atmosphere. Experience nature and the wilderness at its best. As advertised, the Rustic Retreat Cabin was just the basics, a couple of cots, a roof over our head, a fire ring and a small charcoal grill, and a battery lantern. It had no electricity or wifi – if you want modern conveniences, a couple of cottages up near the entrance have lights and a small fridge, etc., and are near the wifi at the main pavilion where the showers are. We preferred being farther into the woods with fewer neighbors (though still just a few minutes’ walk). Susan, the hostess, is great and has taken great care with COVID precautions, outfitting all showers, bathrooms, and even the privies with spray bottles of disinfecting solutions. We loved the constant birdsong, the sound of rain on the roof, and the peaceful woods surrounding us. We hope to return soon!"

- "Pristine cabines eco friendly with strict rules so we can all enjoy the peace and quiet of the nature. The host was very hospitable and helped us build a fire on the last night! Will be back again!" - "The cabin was clean and quiet. The owner met us at check-in and oriented us to the camp. While one might assume from the listing that there was a bathroom as part of the cabin that was not the case. Clean bathroom facilities (toilets, showers, and sinks) were about a 2-min walk away. The bed was very comfortable, and we slept well. We did not cook or eat on site, as we spent most of our time visiting a relative nearby. WiFi was available and fast by the common area; however, the signal did not reach our cabin. I would suggest bringing some boots, as recent rains made the grassy area very soft. Our stay was very enjoyable."

There was some inaccurate information on the VRBO website, as this was a new listing, but our hosts were very accommodating and corrected the situation as soon as they were made aware. Our little guest house affectionately referred to as 'The Hobbit House' is located on our farm here at Scottland Yard! We boarder Hammond Hill state forest, with access to miles of hiking, hunting and skiing trails.
The well appointed wee house is 16×16′ with a large bathroom, kitchen, common area downstairs and a pull out queen serta sofa bed. The bedding and mattress protector are provided in the storage closet. In the loft you will find a comfortable double bed made with (silk feel) 100% bamboo sheets as well as 1 fold up 4″ twin floor mattress with provided bedding in the closet. For our guests comfort and well being, all beds are REQUIRED to be made with the mattress protectors provided! Bath and Turkish beach towels are also provided. The kitchen in this area has a wee under counter fridge with a tiny freezer, a fancy cuisine art air fryer convection toaster oven, coffee pot, 2 burner electric hotplate, and a blender. All cooking and eating utensils are provided. The ship ladder going to the loft is just that….a structurally sound permanently attached wooden ship’s ladder. They are steep. Please refer to the picture of the ladder for a nice visual look at them! **Due to the danger of the steep ship ladder to the bedroom, we recommend that families with children under five do not choose this unit. Outside you have a lovely deck with a bistro table, grill and a little fire pit. The peacocks can often be found roosting on your pergola and the chickens scratching in your yard! You mustn’t leave your door open and unattended or they may decide to make themselves at home and move right in with you, yes really!

We wanted to hike some of the surrounding falls and explore a bit, and Scottland yard property was the perfect place to come “home” to. I am a 70 year old woman and went to upstate NY to spend time with my daughter and grandson. Was a perfect location for me... 10 minutes from my daughter, Dandy Mart on the way for coffee and gas. I mention 70 year old because the upstairs bedroom was not something I could manage, but I slept on the couch downstairs and was very comfortable. Tanya was super as a co-host. Duane and Andrea very kind. And this time of year, March-April being with sheep as they lambed daily. My son is 6'3" and he has lived in the tiny house and found it comfortable. The cabin is located adjacent to the Hammond Hill State Forest with 20 miles of trails for cross-country skiing, hiking and biking. Located just 12 miles from Ithaca, NY home of beautiful Gorges and state parks as well as Cornell University and Ithaca College. It' is about an hour's drive from Watkins Glen, NY. The cabin is perfect for those who enjoy a peaceful country setting. This is an adult space and is strictly limited to not more then two people. Pets are not permitted.

- "Definitely different - very small and some ecologically sustainable features like a waterless toilet. However the small space requires the you negotiate a ladder to the sleeping loft. My wife and I are above average physically fit 80’s somethings - I don’t think average individuals our age would be able to deal with this situation. I don’t know if we could have been comfortable for a more extended stay in these quarters. The facility felt a bit like being on a boat or in a tent. There is decent hiking nearby and the closest city is Ithaca about a 20 minute drive."

The Yellow Barn Estate features a post and beam barn that the owner lovingly created over nine years, using lumber obtained and milled on-site. The YBE has five bedrooms, each with a full bathroom, as well as a large great hall, dining room, full kitchen, living room, front porch, screened-in patio, and two open decks. - "We were a family of 7 (+ 2 dogs), needing a comfortable & roomy place to stay while we moved our daughter & son-in-law to the Ithaca area. The Yellow Barn was absolutely perfect for us. While we didn’t have a lot of time to fully appreciate the property, we did spend time perusing the gorgeous bird books and reflecting on the journaling book that detailed the building of this beautiful barn & property. We did cook breakfast, & found everything we needed in the fully stocked & efficient kitchen. All bedrooms have adjacent bathrooms, which was so nice. Beds were very comfortable and seating was more than adequate. I wish we’d had more time to relax in the outside areas, like the front porch, overhead deck, & fire pit. Communication was excellent, check in was seamless, & parking was abundant! We were able to fit our large moving van, + 3 extra cars. You definitely won’t regret booking this charming, spacious, & comfortable property!"

- "Cute cabin and nice property. Had all the essentials like a bath house, toilets, and wifi. Especially the wifi because I had no cell service but I could still text and call connected to wifi. The biggest seller to me is that it's dog friendly." - "Eshay welcomed me with a tour of the amenities and campground rules. I appreciated their communication. I felt that if I needed anything, Eshay was willing to help. Showers and composting toilet were kept super clean during my stay - there were only 3-4 of us on the campgrounds so it was quiet and there weren't any issues with overlapping needs of the facilities. I was grateful for the lantern provided in the camping pod, as well as the shower towel and bedding (all unexpected and appreciated!). I enjoyed going to Brookton's Market (a 15-20 min drive away with fresh food, drinks, and live music). Unfortunately, it was rainy during most of my stay - yet, the camping pod was the perfect temperature (front door facing the rising sun) and dry. I also enjoyed a warm campfire the first night. My stay was exactly the rejuvenating respite I needed - perfect for a few days of reading good books. Next time, I hope to take advantage of the nearby trails for hiking. Highly recommend!"

Pet fee additional $75.00 per night per pet.
Additional fee of $35.00 per person per night after the initial 2 people
Cleaning Fee is a one time fee of $70.00 and is added to the accommodation price when booked.

Rules
-Swim at own risk- no lifeguard on duty
-Dishes used by you are to be washed, dried and put away after each use.
-No smoking in the tent! Ashtrays provided on property
-Pets fee is $75.00 per night per pet. They must be on leash at all times.
-Pets must get along with other pets and children.
-Pets may do their business in the nearby field. If business is done on the lawn it’s up to the owner to pick up and discard poop.
-Your pet must be crated inside if you leave him/her for any length of time.
– If you are bringing an infant under 2 you must provide all their bed and bedding needs or they may sleep with you.
– Minimum 2 night stay if Booking on a Friday
– Quiet time begins at 10:00 PM. Please be conscious and respectful of other guests.
***July 4th weekend- please take it into consideration before booking!

There are fireworks (that can be heard) nearby at the neighbors homestead. Our July 4th weekend guests are invited to attend the neighborhood display. The display is not on our property. Our farm is located close enough that the fireworks are still loud. Dogs, fellow travelers, and/or children traveling with you may get frightened during the 15 minute display.

- "The place was clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom. They also provided earplugs, which are necessary since it is a farm and the roosters wake up starting around 4:30 am. My kids had fun “talking” to the turkeys in a gobble-language. It was quite cute. We liked seeing all of the animals, especially the peacocks perched on our deck when we got home one day. The place is aptly named! All on all, it was a nice little place and the 4 of us had a great time."

Escape to Camp Earth Connection, where you will experience the outdoors in a relaxing and beautiful surrounding. Each site has plenty of space with privacy and comfort. The Red Eft Rustic One Room Cabin is NON-electric, with screened windows and doors. It sleeps 1 to 3 people with 1 full size bed and a single bed. Parking is separate from campsites/cabins. Each campsite is a short 2-5 minute walk from parking and main camp. Wagons are provided to assist in moving your gear. Campers have access to all the campground facilities, including hot showers, compost toilet, campfire wood $, and high speed WiFi at the main camp. This cabin is situated in the of the edge of the forest, facing east for morning sunshine a short walk to main camp. Experience nature at its' best. Camp Earth Connection is an alcohol and drug free facility, ensuring that our guests have a peaceful stay and enjoy the opportunity to connect with nature and our little community as they choose.

The camp is adjacent to the Hammond Hill State Forest, with 20 miles of trails for hiking, biking, and cross country skiing. I hope you check out Camp Earth Connection, I don't believe you will be disappointed!

Guests who are spending time visiting the vineyards and wine tours, may keep any alcoholic purchases in their vehicle during their stay. Camp Earth Connection values: Diversity, Acceptance and Community and welcomes diverse families and friends including the BIPOC and LGBTQ community.

The Fox's Den is a unique non-electric small wooden "Pod" Cabin adjacent to a creek and the Hammond Hill State Forest. A perfect place for a retreat in the woods. It includes a full size bed, dresser, lantern and fan. It is located on a spacious campsite with a fire pit, grill and picnic table. The Hot Showers & WiFi are a short walk to the main camp. Just 20 min from Ithaca & State Parks.The cabin and facilities are alcohol/drug free providing all guests with a peaceful atmosphere to enjoy nature.

The Meadow View is the only Rustic Screened in Cabin with Electric and Wifi. This one room cabin sleeps two withtwo twin beds.It's screened windows w/curtainsface East allowing it to warm up quickly with the sun rise. A great affordable little cabin which allows you to charge your phone and/or laptop. Includes mini-fridge, microwave and fan.It is located in a small Woodland Campground, Camp Earth Connection, in the middle of the Hammond Hill State Forest. Adjacent to 20 miles of trails for Mountain Biking and Hiking trails which also connect to the Finger Lakes Trail System. Just 12 miles from Ithaca, home of Cornell and many gorges and trails.

Escape to Cub Cabin, a brand new rustic 1-room retreat nestled in a peaceful woodland camp. Hike or bike adjacent trails, or relax and soak in the tranquility of the forest. Located 12 miles from Ithaca, NY, known for its waterfalls and gorges.The cabin has a full size bed and two cots. It also has a mini-fridge, microwave, french press and a hot water kettle. The cabin is currently being upgraded with electric. Parking area, shower house and bathrooms are a short walk away. A potable water spigot is close to the cabin along with a picnic table and campfire ring. This is an alcohol and drug-free facility, providing a peaceful space to reconnect with nature and loved ones.
