- "We have been staying at Kipp Cottage for almost 10 years now. It is such a special place we always check to see if it is available before anywhere else. Audrey Land is great to work with and super responsive as well. Looking forward to next time already!" - "Stayed out here for a girls trip and river and property is so charming. You can sit in the hot tub and look at the river or lounge down by the water or on the covered porch. The main house is very cute and cozy-- perfect for girls get aways with your besties. We spent all our time in the main house. The other house on the property is more a sleeping quarter and great if you came with teens or multiple families and just need sleeping space. There wasn't anywhere to hang out in that house and it was sort of spooky in there compared to the charm of the main house. I'd totally come here again. You have a great private spot on the water. No cell service (there's wifi), but that was a perk for us!"

We are located outside Hunt, Texas approximately 22 miles west of Kerrville, The Gatehouse allows for comfort and great location to enjoy nature on this historic Hill Country Ranch. We are pet friendly, so please bring along the family dog(s). They will love to romp in the water and check out the new sights and smells! Your canine family will LOVE being at The GateHouse!!!

We are located at the spring fed waters at the head of the Guadalupe River. Step into the cool water for swimming and fishing. One section has an area with easy access that is larger than an Olympic pool. Great swimming area for families and children. Bring your ice chest & picnic for a day on the river, just steps from the cabin. A perfect place to enjoy a warm Hill Country Day in Texas.

Fall and winter are great times to visit The GateHouse. The house is warm and cozy.
The firepit is available to sit around, tell stories or make S'mores. We even provide the firewood, complimentary!

You are free to hike around the ranch, to see the animals, the beautiful cliffs and crystal clear waters. When the weather is cool, the deer, turkey, foxes and other animals also enjoy the cool weather so you will have greater chances to see them. In November and through December, the hillsides and roadways are covered with multi-colored trees before they lose their leaves. You will see bright reds, yellow and amber colors as they reflect on the waters. Truly a beautiful site.

The Springtime is a beautiful time to be in this area of Texas. You will be sure to see the famous Bluebonnets and all the other wildflowers that line the roads and fill the neighboring ranches.

The Gatehouse overlooks a large private lake for your use. Be sure to bring along your fishing pole as this lake is stocked with Guadalupe bass & catfish. Most recently, we had a group of guests who caught 10 bass in just a few minutes in the private lake! No worry, they did catch and release so there are still many bass and catfish for you to get.

Stroll past the 8 acre pecan orchard to The Guadalupe River. Great swimming, floating, paddleboarding and fishing along the river with easy access. Our guests enjoy fly-fishing in the river.

We have dark skies for your night studies and private rural location for relaxation for your daytime use. You are welcome to bring along your telescopes to check out the skies. You are welcome to pick your best spot on the ranch to do your viewings.

The Gatehouse has 3 bedrooms with sleeping for 6. Bedroom 1 has a double bed and Bedroom 2 has a queen bed; both on the first floor. Bedroom 3 is a full height loft on second floor with one queen bed and 3 twins. One bathroom with full shower with glass enclosure and washer/dryer for your use. The kitchen is fully outfitted, you only need to bring along your food and personal items. We provide paper goods, linens & towels. Central air & heat. BBQ pit for your cooking enjoyment. Don't forget to bring along your favorite charcoal, starter and seasonings for your outdoor cooking. We have complimentary WIFI and multiple TV Channels. & music. There is a phone line available for our guests use as many cell service providers to not work in this area. We even provide complimentary firewood for the firepit. So, be sure to bring along the makings for S'mores. We have made every effort to think about your comfort and convenience.

The Gatehouse is on the over 100 acre Guadalupe Bluffs Ranch. This historic ranch offers a large private stocked lake. Other than the Main House, which is on the other side of the ranch, there are no other cabins to share the area. It is your private location. You are free to hike the ranch or stroll through and relax in the 8 acre pecan orchard that is adjacent to the Guadalupe River. While you hike, you may see our herd of friendly donkeys, our rescue cow, Maisie (she the queen of the ranch), and our herd of Texas Longhorns.

We are located in the Texas Hill Country. With easy access, just 26 miles south of I-10 at Exit 490.

Want to enjoy one of the most beautiful drives in Texas? Make the trip from Kerrville to Ingram and follow Hwy 39 to Hunt, Tx. Turn right on 1340. Go 11 miles, after the Mo Ranch sign, turn left on Rock Bottom Road. This drive will take you over and along the Guadalupe River, past magnificent bluffs, fine ranches, camps and houses built along the river. Note the mighty cypress & pecan trees along the way. Deer graze along the roadside. Check out the birds and other wildlife that can be seen as you drive along.

We have a three night minimum stay requirement. We offer the 3 night stay minimum because we are remote and our guests come from great distances to stay. To truly enjoy the ranch, 3 nights is a minimum. We encourage a 4 night stay, to get the full benefit of getting away at "the ranch" . However, if you are only able to visit for 2 night stay, please check our calendar for open dates and send an inquiry to check if we can do a 2 night stay for the dates you are wanting. Our ability to offer a 2 night stay, often is driven by the availability of staff to clean before and after the stay. Advance reservation is required, but if you are looking for a "last minute getaway", don't hesitate to check with us.

We are about an hour or less from many popular areas, such as Fredericksburg, Lost Maples State Park, Twisted Sisters Highway, Leakey, Junction, Kerrville, Camp Verde, Bandera. There are many summer camps close by. Kerr Wildlife Management is about 2 miles. So you can enjoy rest, privacy and venture out to these locations for shopping, dining, wine tasting, and scenic sites.

As a note: We welcome pets. When the VRBO system gives a rate quote when a guest indicates they will be bringing pets, they only give a quote for one pet staying. Our pet rate is $35.00 a night, per pup. So when there are multiple pups staying, we have to manually update the rate quote. Our pet guests LOVE the ranch. They are free to run without leashes (with their People's permission) to enjoy the freedom of running, sniffing and just rolling in the leaves or jumping in the water. The area around The GateHouse is fenced and when fully gated allows for a contained area for our canine guests.

- "This was a return trip after our respite here in June. I wish our two pups could write this review because they have returned home rejuvenated. Everyday they retrieved tennis balls in the Guadalupe and were so content riding in the kayak and enjoying the beauty of the area. Returning to the cabin, they would have a well earned nap. When they come here they know they are going to receive doggy treats especially for them. They were fascinated with the donkeys, the cows and long horn. And although the river is our main reason for coming, the Gate House is so cozy and relaxing that it is fun to simply stay put and relax. We appreciate the well-equipped kitchen which makes meal prep a breeze. We all had restful sleep in comfy beds. Evenings were a nice time to sit out front in the rockers after our walk back to the river. Heartfelt thanks for opening your Gate House to us and for loving our doggy friends. We look forward to returning again soon."

With it's high elevation and unique design, Hilltop Cabin is the most unique home you will find in the Guadalupe South Fork area. Where else can you find such a charming home with expansive views, wooded privacy and private river access? What more could you ask for? The Cabin is loaded with both hill country charm, and modern amenities. This is a full size home that leaves nothing to be desired, while providing the charm and fun of a rustic Texas hill country cabin. There are 3 bedrooms, all with queen beds, and each with its own full bathroom, comfortably sleeping a total of 6 adults. There is also a full sleeping sofa and several blow up mattresses and a half bath downstairs for additional sleeping arrangements for several children. The kitchen and dining areas are very large, which make for great meal prepping and gathering for large groups. The laundry room is what you would expect to find in a larger home, with a full size washer and dryer. The main living space is large enough for a big gathering with plenty of places for everyone to gather around the wood burning fireplace. We keep the house well stocked with toiletries including wet wipes, toilet paper as well as shampoo, conditioner and his and hers body washes for your convenience. Outdoor living spaces include multiple options for sun and shade as needed. A large porch sits off of the main living space with rocking chairs and ceiling fans. From this porch you can step down to a large outdoor gathering area with plenty of seating and a fire pit. We have extensive decking in the back of the house with seating right off of the dining area, upper decking with two picnic tables under cover , as well as a large charcoal barbecue pit for outdoor grilling. There is a wrap around porch along the front and side of the house with chairs and a bench swing to take in the hilltop views across the Guadalupe River Valley. There are also several sitting areas around the 2.5 acres for enjoying the many different areas of the secluded and private property. Although the property is not riverfront, the private river park is a quick 3-5 minute walk from the front door (we've timed it). You can also access the park via a shorter drive for anyone that has mobility issues. The River Inn Crossing section of the Guadalupe is at the headwaters of the south fork, giving you the cleanest, clearest water that the river has to offer. The depth and width of the river in this section is perfect for all water activities. Many other sections of the river are either too shallow for swimming and canoeing, or too narrow for real exploring. An added bonus this far up the river is the clarity of the water. On a typical day, the water is virtually as clear as a swimming pool. This is one of the only locations on the Guadalupe where snorkeling is a real option, so don't let the kids forget their goggles. Parents won't have to worry about the little ones, because you can see straight to the bottom, and the average depth in front of the park is about 3.5 feet. There is also a very neat section where you can get out of the kayaks and walk around and explore the shallow channels and pools (probably our kids favorite spot). Although the cabin is far enough out that you have true privacy, serenity and quiet, it is a perfect home base for hitting all of the different places that people like to go. You can make a quick and very picturesque 25 min drive over to Vanderpool for a couple of hours of hiking or picnicking at Lost Maples State Park. You can head over to Fredericksburg, which is only 20 minutes from Kerrville, and spend a few hours shopping or antiquing. Maybe you want to go horseback riding or fishing in another location. Maybe you are a motorcyclist and want to hit the infamous Twisted Sisters which are very close to Hwy 39.. Then again, maybe you just want to hang at the river and cabin, and get a full weekend of relaxation in, while the kids wear themselves out with all the fun and activities. The great thing about staying at the cabin, is that the activities are endless and are all right at your fingertips. You may also enjoy the various type of wildlife around the cabin and area. Axis and whitetail deer, raccoons, ringtails, opossums, skunk, porcupines, foxes, bobcats, turkey, roadrunners, javelina, armadillo, rabbits and all types of birds etc.

These are some of the typical things our own family does when we stay at the cabin:

Ride the Harley's to the Twisted Sisters 336, 337, 335 as well as Hwy 16 and Hwy 39 and the many other beautiful roads in the area.
Drive to Leakey area for the scenic drive and get some lunch.
Go to Lost Maples State Park (hiking and photos) be sure to watch for wild turkey during the drive as well as exotic game along the fences of the many ranches.
Go to Enchanted Rock State Park (hiking and photos).
Go to Garner State Park (hiking/swimming and photos)
Visit Fredericksburg (lunch/shopping/winery visits)
Grill Burgers or Barbeque at the cabin or river
Swim/kayak/canoe/Explore the river
Fish the river in late afternoon (right at the park).
Go eat dinner in Kerrville.
Go horseback riding with an outfitter.
Go watch the Bat Flights in Concan.
Leave cabin Saturday 8am- be at Six Flags Fiesta Texas at 9am. Stay 4-5 hours
and be back at cabin or river by 3pm for swimming or fishing.
Go to movie theater in Kerrville.
Go to Kerrville City Parks on the Guadalupe river (walk/picnic/fish etc.)
Go to Kerrville outdoor skate park.
Go to the museums or galleries.
Go tubing on one of the nearby rivers.
Hang around the river crossing areas (Schummacher Crossing, Hunt Crossing, River Inn Crossing) for pictures, fishing and fun.
Hang around the cabin, (porches, decks, seating areas inside and out) and be with the family.
Lay around the cabin and be worthless.
Star gaze at night. (Watch for shooting stars and satellites (give prizes for first sightings)
Night time canoeing and kayaking with glow sticks at the park.
Enjoy the summertime firefly bonanza at the river park at dusk.
Hang around the outdoor fire pit at night and make S'mores.
Watch a movie or game on Direct TV.
Play Xbox (my son and myself)
Spot wildlife on distant hills with binoculars.

These are just some of the activities available. You can also golf, visit wineries, visit James Avery, go birding or antiquing, or whatever else it is that makes you happy.

This 2 bedroom 1 bath log cabin easily accommodates 5 - 6 for a very comfortable and relaxing retreat. Come for a couple of days, a long holiday weekend; spend a week or two or even a month - taking in the sights and sounds of the Texas Hill Country.

Enjoy the 40’ screened in porch with lounging and dining furniture while you BBQ or sit back and watch the wildlife…feel free to put corn out for the deer. Pitch horse shoes just a few steps from the screened in porch.

Stargazing from the cabin is incredible and there is a great stone fire pit for you to use with plenty of wood nearby. Kick your feet up and enjoy!

A/C & Heating installed in March 2019. The cabin also has a land line telephone, WiFi and DishTV along with a ROKU for relaxing inside. Screened in porch has a propane BBQ for your use along with lounge worthy seating for relaxing and dining.

- "Nice place, cozy, quiet and very convenient to the river. Everything you'd need for sure!" - "A great location for a family stay in this area. Well appointed and stocked vacation home. The River park was down a rather steep trail but still an easy walk from the property. We had the River park to ourselves until Saturday. Delightful. Deer in abundance, and bobcats heard but not seen." - "We were very pleased with the cabin. Great space for entertaining. Huge kitchen and lots of great seating inside and outside. If you love nature the deer, foxes, hummingbirds entertained us the entire time! Bedrooms are a good size with ample storage for luggage. The parking area is great and feels very private. You are in a neighborhood, but you can't see or hear anyone. You're so close to the river and have lots of options for fishing or swimming. You will have a very private; relaxing experience. Bring binoculars! The screened in porch has a great sunrise and with the sun being behind the cabin you can sit outside and grill easily in the afternoons. Well worth the couple extra miles."

PLEASE NOTE: This home is in a small neighborhood that has full time residents so strict noise rules are in place and louder groups will not be able to stay here. All outdoor music is strictly prohibited during your stay. We expect all guest to move conversations and gatherings into the house at 9 pm on weekdays and 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Regardless of the available sleeping arrangements, this home is a 4 adult maximum home.

We have also noticed an increase in the number of guests that are wanting and/or expecting to be able to "float down the river". Hunt Texas is not a location for this activity. Both forks of the Guadalupe in Hunt have a series of dams that back the water up throughout the length of both of them. We do encourage our guest to make day trips to the Frio for tubing if that is a strong interest. Our own family often does this when the Frio is flowing well. We include more information and recommendations in our information packet for our guest.
Cedar Cliff Cottage sits on a bluff above the Guadalupe river's north fork in one of the most scenic areas in Texas. This incredibly special area host some of the most popular camps and resorts in the hill country. Camp Stewart, Camp Waldemar, The Boy Scouts Camp Bear Creek and Mo Ranch are all within a few miles or less. This little cottage packs a huge punch when it comes to comfort and amenities. The cottage is clean and cozy, and the property is open and spacious, allowing your group to stretch out and find the spaces that suit them best. Whether it's a giant, private patio with a stone fireplace, a heated, covered back deck that's perched above the river valley, or multiple other options for relaxing, there is a place for every mood and personality type. As our personal guest, you will have access to hidden river treasures seldom seen by and not accessible to the public. Beautiful river features like a picture-perfect waterfall and crystal-clear plunge pool with cascading spring water constantly rushing over it are waiting for you to explore and enjoy. When first entering the property, you will find yourself immediately thrown into the hill country lifestyle with a huge stone patio, loaded with custom seating and tables, and a picture-perfect outdoor stone fireplace that is just waiting to be lit up at night. Here you will find an excellent place to spend the evening and night gathering together and watching the stars above, all while sitting under the dreamy party lights. This is also the location of the BBQ smoker pit that is sure to be pumping out the incredible smell of burgers and steaks during your stay. Upon entry you will find a cute kitchen equipped with all types of cooking appliances, including an oven/stove top, microwave, pancake griddle, blender, crockpot and just about everything else one may need to cook their favorite meals. The living room is a wall of windows and has plenty of seating for everyone. The 65 inch 4K TV is perfect for family movie night after spending the day in the sun. The built in window seat is a great place for sleeping small children with blankets and pillows provided. Here you will also find a sleeper sofa, perfect for fitting a couple of more guest into the cottage for efficient vacation living. Just off of the living room is a large, covered deck with more seating and tables. The deck is an excellent place to hang out under cover, eat, and take in the incredible eyepopping, panoramic views of the mile long bluff just across the north fork valley. For the cooler nights, you can crank up the commercial electric heaters with the push of a button. At night you can turn on the party lights, kick back and enjoy the cool summer breezes that blow through the valley and ridge tops of the Guadalupe's north fork. If you are lucky enough to have a clear, moonless night during your stay, you will see stars like you never have before. At night you can even hear the calming sounds of the waterfalls just upriver, echoing off of the limestone cliffs. Each bedroom has brand new beds packed full of fresh blankets and pillows to give you the coziest sleeping arrangements possible. The cottage sits high above the river, allowing for panoramic views, but also quick access to the water just down a fun little path through the trees, or a second path that takes you directly to the river's plunge pool and waterfalls. Two kayaks are available for our guest use, however, you will need two people to carry each one down to the water and then back to the house each day. Ever snorkeled fresh water? This is a place you can do it because 90% of the time, the water is virtually as clear as a swimming pool. This clarity also gives moms peace of mind knowing they can see the little ones at all times. No deep dark water here to worry about moms. This home is perfect for smaller groups, consisting of no more than 4 adults, or 4 adults and the accompanying children all totaling no more than 6 persons. We provide blow up mattresses to put the kiddos on if you need every bed for the adults. This property does sit on a bluff and small children must be watched at all times as well as young adults properly supervised. (This home is in a small neighborhood that has full time residents so strict noise rules are in place and louder groups will not be able to stay here. We do expect all guest to move conversations and gatherings into the house at 9 pm on weekdays and 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays.)

- "Amazing location- super close to Camp Waldemar and Camp Stewart. Spacious house, comfy beds and all the things you need to cook and entertain. We loved the back porch views and the private Guadalupe oasis. Already booked for next year!" - "This place was a great spot to getaway for an extended weekend. There was great communication, detailed instructions for arrivals and departures, and everything was made seamless. The place has plenty of equipment and utensils for cooking. There are basics like coffee, sugar and creamers. I’d suggest stopping in kerrville to make a grocery run before checking in. “The Cottage” At Axis Hill Farm

The Cottage at Axis Hill Farm is the perfect spot to relax and refresh or enjoy a family gathering at the river or on the patio. The night boasts a beautiful sky with a multitude of twinkling stars.

We endeavor to provide our guests with as much of an “at home” feel as any vacation rental can provide. It sits within a fenced yard; a patio and privacy garden so that you may enjoy the tranquility of the Hill Country well distanced from the entrance gate. There are also lots of hiking and walking places both on and off of our property, as well as private river frontage to enjoy during your stay.

We are located ¼ mile from Hunt, Texas, between Schumacher Crossing and the Hunt Crossing, and next door to Bridget’s Basket and The Market. Numerous summer camps are within just a few minutes of our gate, and we are in close proximity to several good restaurants. Also in close proximity are several golf courses, wineries, and museums.

The 2 bedroom / 2 bath cottage is behind gated access and sits comfortably on the side of a hill overlooking the Guadalupe River Valley. It is nestled off to the side and slightly behind the main home in the yard area. There is a nice privacy garden that provides separation between the two. The cottage is well equipped with each room having its own new HVAC system and new ceiling fans to provide maximum sleeping comfort. The front bedroom has a King bed and the back bedroom has 4 Twin beds. There are sleeping accommodations for up to 6. Each bedroom has its own separate bathroom including new washbasins and new tile and glass showers. Each bedroom comes with wall mounted Direct HD TVs and fast Wi-Fi. All of the kitchenette appliances are new and include a fridge / freezer with icemaker, gas cooktop, and Breville Smart Oven. A Mr. Coffee maker is provided for your comfort and convenience. There is also a gas grill for outdoor cooking on the patio and a fire pit with a grill on top. For our guests who plan longer stays, The cottage is complete with a washing machine with a gas dryer and optional housekeeping can be arranged. Otherwise, cleaning is completed following your stay.

We own private access and deep water frontage on the Guadalupe River. There is plenty of room for access in and out of the water from our concrete and rock facility. In addition, we provide tubes for your floating pleasure and there are 4 Kayaks available. Swimming, fishing, kayaking, and floating in the tubes are but a few of the enjoyable activities that the river has to offer. Our private river facility can be accessed by vehicle or a short walk from the house and sits at a comfortable distance from the highway for your privacy.

Although most of your time you will want to spend enjoying the beautiful riverfront, the main house does have a smart tv in each room with streaming service availability. The cabin has a small Roku tv with all streaming capability as well. The main kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and a Keurig. There is a crock pot available as well as some spices. For the cold season, a charming wood burning stove is in the main living room.

Although WIFI is available in the house, please be cognizant that out here in the TX hill country, you won't get the same speed as your city access. This home away caters to those wanting to "unplug" and enjoy the river and serenity of amazing Hunt, TX!

This 1 bedroom 1 bath unit will sleep up to 4 people and is complete with a queen bed and pull out queen sofa with electric air pump. The Cabin comes with a full kitchen, both covered and open patio, covered car port, and sits high on a hillside. It boasts a fabulous view eastward down the Guadalupe River Valley toward Kerrville, TX. The unit is complete with 43" Direct TV and fast Wi-Fi. In addition, there is private access to our river front, which is an easy 1/4 mi drive in a low clearance vehicle or a nice walk. It offers deep water swimming, canoeing, kayaking, floating, and fishing along with privacy for your enjoyment. For those of our guests who enjoy bird watching and hiking, we have private acreage on the property that is accessible for those who wish to partake.
For Winter Texans who would like to use our cabin as their base, we even have 50 amp service, water, and sewer for their RV and it is covered!

The property does have river access. You have to cross a two lane road to get to the river. The waterfront is directly across the road from the house with concrete steps leading to the concrete landing and river. The water is roughly 4 feet deep in some places and shallow enough in other spots to put your lounge chair.

- "There was so much room for everyone to spread out and have their own space. The dining area was plenty big but could use more chairs. The kitchen was plenty big but could use more kitchenware. The master bath was beautiful and comfortable but a broken window made it so we could hear everything in the kitchen. The shower was really cool, but not all the shower heads were functional. All in all a great stay, but a lot of things could use a little maintenance. Also, a second functional fridge since there were so many of us."

This beautiful Guadalupe River - riverfront property is situated just off of Hwy 39 before you arrive in Hunt, TX. This makes it convenient to all of the summer camps in the area and everything "Hill Country".

This 2-story home boasts 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with ample open floor space for the whole gang! It overlooks the river on roughly 7 acres with ~1,000 feet of Cypress lined riverfront - it is the perfect Guadalupe River Destination.

You will enter the house on the main floor where the living area / dining area / kitchen and 2 bedrooms + a bath are located. The open concept living area has lots of natural light that makes it bright and inviting and has plenty of room to relax, watch TV, read a book or visit with family & friends. The kitchen bar (w/seating for 2 or 3) is the perfect spot for beverages and for visiting with the cook or cooks in the fully equipped kitchen - the bar separates the kitchen from the dining area that will seat 8-10.

Upstairs is a large bonus area with lots of windows to take in the amazing views. There is a tall table and chairs for games / cards / puzzles / or additional dining space that will seat 6 at the top of the stairs. There are 2 large bedrooms upstairs - both rooms have 4 twin beds each. Both bedrooms have an adjacent bathroom that include nice tile showers. We have added a queen bed to the upstairs area with privacy screening.

OUTDOOR Entertaining Areas include:

1.) Full wrap around porch that you can enjoy that includes a large rock patio with picnic tables, bbq and hot tub with a pergola that provides shade and relief from the harsh, direct rays of the sun while allowing sunlight access to fill the space.

2.) 2 A-frame swings have been placed to overlook the river during the day and star gaze and enjoy the fire pit at night. Additional light weight chairs can be moved to the fire pit area for more seating. You can't beat this view! And don't forget the s'mores!

3.) Riverfront has a large dock & ladder for easy access to the river, with seating, river toys for you to use (kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets) along with the floating dock. Bbq grill and picnic tables for additional dining if you like. There is another A-frame swing that overlooks the dock & river. You can walk or drive to the private riverfront.

Our location on the Guadalupe River is just minutes from where the North Fork & the South Fork converge - great for family relaxing, fishing, kayaking or just floating.

Day trips are a cinch - you might want to check out Lost Maples Natural Area (State Park) about 45 minutes away, or Utopia, Garner State Park, and the Frio River or Concan - all to the West; or Ingram, Kerrville, Comfort and/or Fredericksburg for shopping / winery tours to the East all within about 45 minutes. You can always hop on I-10 to San Antonio for Fiesta Texas / Sea World or shopping at La Cantera/The Rim and more but all less than 2 hours away.

The river entrance does have stairs with a hand rail that leads down to the river. This part of the river is what they call the flats…it is very shallow and great for all ages to play and relax. Be aware that the river bottom is very slippery. Feel free to use the kayaks they are located near the patio on your way to the riverfront. From the 4 Stones riverfront it is a short walk down river with kayaks to the tubs and then on a littler further to deeper water and that is a beautiful part of the river!
