The space has been completely rebuilt with reclaimed materials and unique features throughout. best features include a private outdoor claw foot tub, an expansive balcony looking down on a stream and views of nature while lying in bed!

The structure is comprised of one main room with queen sized bed, comfy chair, coffee maker, mini fridge and large windows. The expansive balcony provides views of the stream and surrounding trees. The outdoor tub/ shower, unique pullman- style sink and toilet are accessed off the balcony.

The cottage is accessed at ground level but the private porch and bath offer a treehouse-like experience due to the topography of the land. Please note the space has been built with experiencing nature in mind (there will be the occasional bug but we provide citronella candles and bug spray). The treehouse is located on a 25 acre old dairy farm, also on the property is a barn and carriage house. You pass these on arrival on the driveway but they are not viewable from the treehouse and there is no noise from the other units

The treehouse is set on 25 acres of upstate farmland which you are free to explore. We have created dedicated trails throughout the woods which are accessible by bridge/ walkway.

We provide a Keurig coffee maker with pods and sugar, mini fridge, basic utensils, a small grill, fire starting supplies (wood, lighter and fire-starters), bug spray, bubble bath, luxury towels and toiletries. Please note there is no cooking stove or dishwasher.

Upon entering the house the main floor is half a flight up and the first floor is half a flight down. The main floor has three bedrooms, bathroom, living room with air conditioning, dining room, kitchen. The first floor has another living room with sleeper sofa, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. The second floor of the home you will find the master bedroom with private bath and additional bedroom. There are beautiful nature views from every room and the large bay kitchen window overlooks the private front yard and spring fed pond. We have a game room with air hockey, magnetic darts, and table games. Pool table in the garage, and a playground in the back. The house is set on a hill, perfect environment for sledding in the winter.

The records can be played on a real dj turntable and a incredibly vintage sound system. I was a DJ at The Pavilion in The Pines on Fire Island and a resident DJ at Splash in NYC. The yard which is one acre with 100s of acres of forest behind it, is beautifully landscaped with beautiful flower gardens personally planted by myself and a beautiful deck to sit and watch my paradise. I will personally bring you on tours of the gardens if requested. The space is in the lower level of my home and separate from my space. You have your own entrance, bathroom and shower. The main room is like a studio apartment, the bedroom and living room together. The next room has a table for eating or working at. This space also has a small kitchen space with a Keurig, dishes, glasses, flatware, mini fridge, microwave, and toaster oven. I supply K-Cups, teas, half & half, and water. There is a private bathroom with a shower. The washer and dryer are in a small open side room in this space. The yard is about an acre of property and you have full use of the yard and if you bring your dog they will just love running in the grass. To top it all off there is even a level 2 EV charger so when you arrive you can plug in and when you wake up in the morning you’re ready to go on your adventure for the day.

Please note, on a weekly basis we have landscapers that mow the lawns and someone that cleans the hot tub. While we try to schedule this around guest stays sometimes this is not possible.
Guests may bring up to one pet for a $100 pet fee. This fee is used for an allergen cleaning to keep the space comfortable for future guests. Unfortunately we do not allow multiple pets.

Converted from an 1800’s carriage house, Apsley Hill Cottage is situated on a historic 25 acre property previously used as a dairy farm. Surrounded by horse stables, orchards and hiking trails; there are endless ways to enjoy your time in this stunning location.

The studio style cottage includes a kitchenette with basic cooking supplies, mini fridge, microwave, sink, hot plate and coffee maker - it does not include an oven or dishwasher. The bathroom has a toilet, shower and no sink (you use the sink in the kitchen). There is a queen bed with luxury linen, pull out couch (twin), TV, wifi, patio furniture, grill, hammock and firepit. Toiletries and towels are also provided. Please note the 25 acre property has three rentable spaces. The barn house, the treehouse and this space, the carriage house. All three spaces are in their own distinct areas of the property but you may see other guests during your stay. This property features 4 exterior security cameras: 1 camera is located above the garage door facing the driveway, 1 camera is located by the garage facing the garage door entrance, 1 camera is located on the back of the home facing the back entrance, and 1 camera is located on the front of the home facing the front entrance. The cameras are outward facing and do not look into interior spaces. The cameras are activated by motion and will actively record video and sound while guests are in residence

Converted from an 1800’s carriage house, Apsley Hill Cottage is situated on a historic 25 acre property previously used as a dairy farm. Surrounded by horse stables, orchards and hiking trails; there are endless ways to enjoy your time in this stunning location.

The studio style cottage includes a kitchenette with basic cooking supplies, mini fridge, microwave, sink, hot plate and coffee maker - it does not include an oven or dishwasher. The bathroom has a toilet, shower and no sink (you use the sink in the kitchen). There is a queen bed with luxury linen, pull out couch (twin), TV, wifi, patio furniture, grill, hammock and firepit. Toiletries and towels are also provided. Please note the 25 acre property has three rentable spaces. The barn house, the treehouse and this space, the carriage house. All three spaces are in their own distinct areas of the property but you may see other guests during your stay. The barn house is visible from the carriage house through bushes and trees and the treehouse is on the other side of the property and not visible.

The cottage is conveniently located 15 minutes from Poughkeepsie, Rhinebeck and Millbrook. The historic FDR Homestead, Vanderbilt Mansion, Culinary Institute of America, and Omega Institute are only 10 minutes away.

You will be provided with an electronic code to enter the cottage (changed between visits).

A car is required to travel to and from the accommodation.

The cottage shares 25 acres with our main house and treehouse - although we are generally only on property one or two days a week, which may or may not coincide with your stay. If you are interested in renting all three properties please let us know. Combined the three properties house 11 guests.

The tiny house is studio style so the twin sized pull out couch is in the same space as the queen sized bed (additional linen and pillows are provided for the twin if needed).

The cottage is surrounded by Hudson Valley nature so be prepared to see deer and other wildlife including the occasional bug. If you're lucky you will even see our friendly resident groundhog, Oliver!

The perfect Hudson Valley escape for your small gathering, Apsley Hill sleeps up to 12 people across three different structures. The 25 acre property is comprised of a modern barn, guest cottage and treehouse. An ideal location to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or special occasion with friends and family. Rental includes exclusive use of the property, access to walking trails, an outdoor play set and large games room.

Welcome to Apsley Hill! After careful restoration efforts, our modern barn-style home was rebuilt in 2020 with the help of renowned Spanish architect, Maria Milans. The light-filled, minimalist interior houses 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, an open plan living space, cosy tv room, hot tub and kids games room. The house comfortably sleeps 6 people
