But it is such an oddity, an 8 story behemoth in the middle of nowhere, you will be taking pictures and laughing with your family and friends at the next visit. You can tell them there is one elevator button for the left car for those on odd floors and the same button that goes to the even floors on the right car. It is a white elephant, a non-sequitur, an anachronism where they think it is perfectly normal to make a broken down hotel into what they may think is an over the top AirBnB. Go in with the right attitude and It should be on everyone's list who wants a cheap life-long memory that will bring a smile to your face even when you are happily leaving."

A handmade L-shaped couch, crafted by local artists, provides both comfort and beauty in the living room, which centers around a wood-burning stove. The layout also includes a futon in the hallway for extra flexibility. The bathroom is designed with modern stone-look tile, natural wood paneling, and is stocked with Puracy natural body products.

The kitchen overlooks the forest and is fully equipped with cookware, salt, pepper, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and a selection of high-quality coffee and tea. You’ll also find a humidifier with essential oils, incense, and other small comforts that reflect our hospitality values.

Set on a quiet dead end road not far from Rt 209 and 44/55, this home is convenient to Ellenville, New Paltz, Stone Ridge and Kingston. There's plenty to do in the area, but if you want to stay on the 1 acre property, we've made sure there's enough to keep you busy outdoors and in. Relax on the super sized deck or roast s'mores in the fire pit. The property is dog friendly and fully fenced in. We have two TVs for streaming or DVD, WiFi, CDs, board games and books. Sit by the propane stove and stay cozy!

The entire 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home is yours. Enter through the open living room/kitchen area. There's a bedroom and full brand new bathroom on the first floor up a couple of steps. A small den is also on this level, with a second TV and library.

There are two more large bedrooms upstairs. The King sized bed ensuite has a desk for our writer and working guests. The queen sized bedroom is probably the largest, and here you can hang out and play chess at the table. This shares a bathroom with the master bedroom.

You'll have full, private access to the Studio and front porch. Parking for two vehicles is available directly in front. The kitchen is fully equipped for light cooking and morning coffee, and the space is ideal for solo travelers, couples, artists, writers, and anyone looking to reset in a space that feels both grounding and elevated.

We are located just one mile from Stony Kill Falls, and just a few miles from the entrance to Minnewaska State Park, where you’ll find hiking trails, crystal-clear lakes, rock climbing, and expansive views of the Hudson Valley. The area is rich with wineries, farm stands, restaurants, art centers, and outdoor experiences—including skydiving, paragliding, skiing, and harvest picking.

While the Studio is private, it is not fully secluded—there are other homes nearby, and the area is quiet but not remote. Expect to see or hear wildlife, especially in warmer months. We maintain a professional pest control service, but being surrounded by trees means the occasional bug or curious creature may still make an appearance.

Inside, a natural wool carpet adds warmth and texture. Like many organic materials, it may shed slightly. Please take note if you have sensitivities or allergies.
