When I booked on hotels.com, I was given the following prices, $125, $121, and $121 and some change with each one. My total for all three rooms had I paid through the app and not waited to get to the hotel would have been $368 and some change. When we checked in, we were told those prices were incorrect and that they had to charge us more, because the hotel charges additional fees. The fees ended up being $100 more. When I asked the hours for breakfast, I was told that was an additional $10 per person, including the children. The hotel is advertised as having a free continental breakfast. The person checking is in said that was incorrect and if we wanted breakfast we would have to pay for it. I told them they were crazy, I could go to Walmart or a restaurant cheaper, especially since it wasn't even a hot breakfast. The room was comfortable and clean, but I'm very upset about the additional charges. I should have only had to pay what I was given when i reserved through the app. There were other travelers who were stating the same about the additional fees and their bill being higher then it should have been. Relax with the family in our 100-year-old bungalow. We offer 3 bedrooms, sleeping 6. The interior is newly remodeled, including new central heat and air. As with any older home, it's not perfect. We are still sprucing up the outside. There is a private paved driveway for your convenience. You will enter the large living room, complete with hardwood floors and a limestone gas fireplace. There is a designated workspace featuring a desk. Two bedrooms include plush queen-size beds. The third bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed. We have provided a high chair and pack 'n play to make traveling with children easier. The kitchen is complete with stove, refrigerator, Keurig, microwave, and dishes needed to help you prepare home-cooked meals during your stay. Enjoy the quiet neighborhood while relaxing on the porch swing on the large cozy front porch. Our home is 3 blocks from the largest town square in the U.S. It is also a short bike ride from the Lehigh Portland Trails and the Prairie Spirit Trail State Park. Iola is the home of Allen Community College.

- "There was a bit of a miscommunication with the owner and the cleaners, resulting in the unit we reserved not being ready when we arrived. I wouldn't say dirty, but the bedcovers were pulled back and a couple dishes in the sink made it obvious someone had just been there. I sent a message to the owner and within minutes, received a phone call with multiple apologies and a quick solution - we were moved just 2 doors down the hall to another available unit that turned out to be bigger. Just my husband and me, we had no use for the surprise second bedroom, but the glorious bathroom that was at least 1.5 times bigger than the first one was great! We stayed for a nice quiet anniversary hideaway and took full advantage of the full kitchen with provided dishes and cookware. Out kids have been asking since they first heard the clock on the Iola square chime if it even chimea at midnight - we were sorry to tell them that the bedrooms were so quiet and dark that we slept far to well to have an answer for them! I have already recommended the Lofts to out-of-state family and would for sure stay again myself if I ever need to get away!"

There was no expense spared with the furnishings or decor of this unit. Once again the luxury of a fine kitchen with granite countertops. Bathroom has a whirlpool bath as well as a walk in shower. The bedrooms have king beds with televisions mounted on the walls. This unit has a large living /dining area with a 55 inch television.

This is the newest suite in the Experience the Lofts in Iola, Kansas. Complete in March, 2017, it is the most luxurious to date. It is rich in history and decor. This is a 120 year old building on the largest town square in the United States. This building faces the courthouse and overlooks a large clock. We spared no expense in making this the best that can be found in Iola, Kansas. Come check this one out!

We also have games, books and activities for the youngens to enjoy in the bins. Wi-Fi is available and also movies if you wish. The living room has a couch sectional that also has a Full size bed pull out. We are pet friendly with a fee. We enjoy our loft and hope you do as well. There’s just something about being downtown and in the heart of a small town. Bonus…we own and run the restaurant right below with plenty to choose from on the menu and including the bar with many options. We also have a beautiful patio for you to enjoy if you choose to dine at our restaurant K’s Place.

This suite was finished in August of 2015. This was the first suite to overlook the beautiful and historical Iola square. The building may be 110 years old but you would not know it from the inside.
