When we checked in, we were told those prices were incorrect and that they had to charge us more, because the hotel charges additional fees. The fees ended up being $100 more. When I asked the hours for breakfast, I was told that was an additional $10 per person, including the children. The hotel is advertised as having a free continental breakfast. The person checking is in said that was incorrect and if we wanted breakfast we would have to pay for it. I told them they were crazy, I could go to Walmart or a restaurant cheaper, especially since it wasn't even a hot breakfast. The room was comfortable and clean, but I'm very upset about the additional charges. I should have only had to pay what I was given when i reserved through the app. There were other travelers who were stating the same about the additional fees and their bill being higher then it should have been. We are still sprucing up the outside. There is a private paved driveway for your convenience. You will enter the large living room, complete with hardwood floors and a limestone gas fireplace. There is a designated workspace featuring a desk. Two bedrooms include plush queen-size beds. The third bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed. We have provided a high chair and pack 'n play to make traveling with children easier. The kitchen is complete with stove, refrigerator, Keurig, microwave, and dishes needed to help you prepare home-cooked meals during your stay. Enjoy the quiet neighborhood while relaxing on the porch swing on the large cozy front porch. Our home is 3 blocks from the largest town square in the U.S. It is also a short bike ride from the Lehigh Portland Trails and the Prairie Spirit Trail State Park. Iola is the home of Allen Community College.

- "There was a bit of a miscommunication with the owner and the cleaners, resulting in the unit we reserved not being ready when we arrived. I wouldn't say dirty, but the bedcovers were pulled back and a couple dishes in the sink made it obvious someone had just been there. I sent a message to the owner and within minutes, received a phone call with multiple apologies and a quick solution - we were moved just 2 doors down the hall to another available unit that turned out to be bigger. Just my husband and me, we had no use for the surprise second bedroom, but the glorious bathroom that was at least 1.5 times bigger than the first one was great! We stayed for a nice quiet anniversary hideaway and took full advantage of the full kitchen with provided dishes and cookware. Out kids have been asking since they first heard the clock on the Iola square chime if it even chimea at midnight - we were sorry to tell them that the bedrooms were so quiet and dark that we slept far to well to have an answer for them! I have already recommended the Lofts to out-of-state family and would for sure stay again myself if I ever need to get away!"

There was no expense spared with the furnishings or decor of this unit. Once again the luxury of a fine kitchen with granite countertops. Bathroom has a whirlpool bath as well as a walk in shower. The bedrooms have king beds with televisions mounted on the walls. This unit has a large living /dining area with a 55 inch television.

This is a 120 year old building on the largest town square in the United States. This building faces the courthouse and overlooks a large clock. There’s just something about being downtown and in the heart of a small town. Bonus…we own and run the restaurant right below with plenty to choose from on the menu and including the bar with many options. We also have a beautiful patio for you to enjoy if you choose to dine at our restaurant K’s Place.

- "We were in the area visiting for the weekend. We have stayed at another of Terry's properties an will continue to try to book with him whenever we visit. Huge space, nicely appointed, clean. Bed was super comfortable, TV in living area and bedroom. Small snacks on the table, water in the fridge, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste etc. in the bathroom. Absolutely wonderful. It was warm and upon arrival the AC was on and set to a comfortable temp. We could not think of anything that could have been better."

This is a different yet cozy way to spend a weekend. It has a comfy queen bed, Wi-Fi, a microwave, and a TV. The guest house is in our lush back yard across from the pond and the main house. This is a great place to get away from all the hustle and bustle because the yard even though centrally located in town it is tucked away with only an ally near by. Opened in October of 2018. Beautiful view of the historic and large Iola, Kansas square. We call it luxury as it has granite counter tops, big screen tvs, and a beautiful bay window. Full kitchen appliances with all you need to prepare to eat at home while you are traveling. Bathroom has full size walk in shower, adjoining bedroom with king sized bed.
