Situated on the corner of 5th and Center Streets in Jerome AZ, the Zamar House was built in 1902 during the heyday of the United Verde Mine. A Zamar family member lived in the house continuously until the late 1980's. The house has been extensively restored to reflect its historic integrity and character.

The upstairs level offers one bedroom with a luxurious queen mattress and bedding, a sleeping porch with a twin daybed and bedding, a bathroom with full size shower, full gourmet kitchen, living room and dining room. The upstairs also includes a Smart TV with Apple TV access. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, dinnerware, pots, pans and drinkware. There is a coffee maker. There is also a Dualit toaster. The refrigerator has ice and filtered water. It has independently controlled central heating and A/C.

The lower level consists of two bedrooms, each with a private bath, luxurious queen mattress and bedding, and private outside entrance. There is also a general entrance to the lower level into a parlor room with access through sliding pocket doors to an activity room. There is a full capacity washer and dryer in one bathroom. The other bathroom offers a relaxing clawfoot tub. Both lower level bathrooms have full size showers. All bathrooms are stocked with linens. The lower level has independently controlled central heating and A/C.

The upper and lower level offer amazing views of the Red Rocks of Sedona and the Verde Valley below from the wrap-around porches and many vantage points throughout the property.

The Zamar House has on-site parking off Center Street with room for two cars. Stairs from the property's parking area provide direct access to the grounds and all entrances to the house. The property is spacious and designed for privacy with unparalleled views from many vantage points. It is situated within walking distance via Center Street, one of the most level streets in Jerome, to the shops, restaurants, bars, and tasting rooms. Parking always tricky in Jerome, was able to park in the street a few hundred feet north of the apartment. Only negative was door locks did not work, hopefully this gets fixed. " - "AAAA LUXURY ! Master Bedroom: A queen- sized bed sits at the center of this space and french doors open up to the Sedona Red Rocks! This room also features a gorgeous, en-suite bathroom and walk-in shower.

Second Bedroom: equipped with a full-sized bed to comfortably accommodate 1-2 guests.

During certain times of the year, the area hosts live music, parades, and entertainment events. Nearby outdoor adventure includes golfing, fishing, hiking, or biking around one of the many surrounding trails. Additional entertainment and dining recommendations are provided in a Welcome Book upon the arrival of your stay.

This area is a quiet, serene community in which only a small number of homes are rentals. We ask that you please be mindful of this and courteous to our neighbors. Quiet hours begin at 10pm.

There is one parking spot for this home. All parking on this street is first come, first serve and spaces are SHARED by the residents of this area! Please be respectful to our neighbors.

You will need to fill out a Temporary Parking Pass (provided upon your arrival) and keep it in your vehicle’s dashboard when parked at this home.

Please, no pets (not even just to visit), parties, events, or smoking in or around the property. Additional fines for each violation will be charged to the guest who booked and you will forfeit the remainder of your stay with no refund.

If it is available, early check-in is a charge of $25/each additional hour (past the first hour). To ensure the property is ready for incoming guests, late check-out is not possible. Thank you for understanding.

The great thing about this house is it places you right in the action in a historic well decorated house so that you live the vibe while you stay there. Cool, spacious, and modern ambiance in an historic mine building renovation. Each of our apartment conversions in this 100+ year old structure has its own distinct personality. 104 is bright, cheerful, modern and comfortable. Located on the ground floor, North East corner of the building, this apartment is sunny and bright in the morning and shaded in the afternoons. The big kitchen window looks out to the North and East with the red rocks of Sedona and Sycamore canyon in the distance.

The evap cooling system did not cool the back bedroom very well. There were no coffee filters, which made brewing coffee a challenge. A 32" lcd tv with over 25 channels, a vcr and dvd player with a few movies just in case.

Interaction with Guests
Your privacy is important to us. The studio is 250 feet from the main house. Still we will be happy to help in anyway we can. Whether you need some advice on what to see in the area, or where the best restaurants are. We have a great patio area to sit at and watch the hummingbirds. We opened up our guest studio with hopes of meeting people from all over the world. So where ever your from (near or far) we would love to visit, if you have the time while your here.

The Neighborhood
We live on Mingus Mountain, overlooking Clarkdale and Cottonwood. You can see Camp Verde, Cornville, Village of Oak Creek, Sedona, Flagstaff mountains, Williams mountains etc. It is like living on top of the world.

Plenty of parking at the house. A shuttle is available from the Phoenix airport to Cottonwood, we would be glad to give you a ride from there.

You will feel like you are on top of the world. This 1100 square foot suite has everything you should need. There are chairs on the deck for enjoying the morning sunrises. A 52" tv in the living room, and a 42" tv in the master bedroom. The bedroom has a extra tall queen bed with soft sheets and lots of pillows. The second bedroom has a King bed. There is only one bathroom it is in the master bedroom. You must enter the master bedroom to get to the bathroom. You enter the suite from your private patio.

All three sit on the hillside above his private Mansion, which is now a state park. The mines closed in 1953, forever changing their original intended use. Today - You can find these three properties all lovingly restored and available to the public for private stays.
