Our two-story cottage contains two bedrooms and a full bathroom to comfortably house up to a party of six. This cottage is perfectly situated to provide one of the best views of the beautiful lake, even from the living room! Unwind on our large deck as you barbecue and enjoy your meals whilst watching the lake water shimmer below the hot summer sun. A fire pit (wood not provided) allows for relaxing campfires and roasting marshmallows to complete the day.

Our kitchen is stocked for all your needs including an electric cook-top, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and much more. A washing/drying machine is available for use to lessen your packing dilemmas. Gather around our gas-powered fireplace in our spacious living room to relax with Wi-Fi Internet and cable TV. Air-conditioning is also available in the entire house. We hope to make your stay feel like home. Please bring your own towels.

Whether you are fishing or simply going for a relaxing cruise, take on the lake and enjoy the warm summer breeze with our 2 kayaks, canoe, and rowboat. Our professional cleaning crew will ensure that with every stay, the house will be cleaned and beds made. We provide pillows, sheets, and blankets for every bed. We do provide most of the essential items as starters to get you started for your stay. These include paper products, trash bags, hair-dryer, etc. but no towels and soaps. Keep in mind that this is not a hotel, so you will have to provide your own essentials.

People that have stayed in homes at the Hideout repeatedly tell us that this is the nicest house they've ever stayed in. Upon arriving to the property you'll note the double sized lot for your added privacy. You'll also immediately see that the front deck spans the entire length of the house with plenty of space to spread out, cook on the propane grill, or just hang out with your family and friends (please note that there is a security camera on the front of the home facing the driveway and front yard). Resist the urge to sit down as you've only just arrived and still have a lot to see. Let's walk in through the screened in porch, where you'll find a table with seating for 6 and a ceiling fan for your comfort. We usually find ourselves hanging out in here during a rain storm and enjoying the beautiful fresh air that accompanies less-than-perfect weather, and a fresh layer of water on the trees and ground. In this porch area you'll find the main entrance with a keyless entry lock (code will be provided 48 hours before arrival). Punch in your digits and welcome to The Woodview!

Take a moment when you open the door to take in the expansive open floor plan which flows seamlessly from the dining area, with seating for 8, to the living room with super high vaulted ceilings and a propane fireplace, to the kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, pots and pans, coffee maker, blender, toaster, just about everything you'll need to whip up a full family sized feast, and, there's also a counter bar with seating for 4, for those quick bite meals. Again, no pitstops as we still have a lot to see. Turn around from the kitchen and you'll see the dining area that has a beautiful country style table big enough for that Thanksgiving feast and seating for up to 8, comfortably. Let's slide over to the living room where you'll see a brand new sofa and love seat, as well as a propane fireplace for those chilly nights and cool mornings. Also in this space is a flat panel tv which boasts a smart blu-ray player with dozens of movies, as well as smart app access so you can stream your favorite Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, and YouTube shows. Simply log in with your own account credentials and pull up your familiar lists (just remember to log out before you leave). Binge time!

But wait, there's more....also on the main level is an oversized master bedroom with king sized bed and a large sitting area that could double as an area for your crib or playpen (not provided) or an inflatable mattress (provided in the master closet). The room also has a large flat panel TV, A/C and access to the en-suite master bathroom that has a full shower and tub. The master bath also has separate access from the kitchen to ensure privacy for those staying in the master suite.

Let's keep it moving, so get comfortable, kick off your shoes, and grab a glass of wine (or coffee/tea) and let's head upstairs.

Back through the kitchen, around the corner and through living room, let's head up a flight of stairs where you'll arrive to the loft area that has a fantastic birds eye view of the main living space, the dining area and great views of the trees outside through the signature shaped front windows. In the loft you'll also find a super comfortable foldout futon (not an oxymoron, it really is comfortable!) for sleeping or just hanging out away from the rest of the home. There's also a comfy chair and a few books for you to just hang. This area also has access to the 2nd full bathroom (shower and tub), and 2 additional oversized bedrooms, both with flat panel HD tv's, A/C's and queen sized beds. Each room also has full closets and dressers as well as windows overlooking the back of the home with nice views of the woods.

Ok, back down to the main level, check your glass as you pass the kitchen area to see if you need a refill, and then let's head down a flight of stairs to the lower level game room.

You've now entered the game zone, where you'll find a full sized pool table, ping pong table and foosball table...surely the site of many a heated match with your friends and family. Also in the lower level you'll find another comfy foldout futon and flat panel HD TV so you can watch the game while playing the game. This level will surely entertain you and your group for hours on end. Loser does the dishes (just kidding, there's a dishwasher)! Also in the lower level, you'll find access to the back yard and the laundry room where we provide detergent and dryer sheets if you choose to do some laundry.

Plenty of other little details that we won't mention here, but they'll surely lead to a more comfortable and complete home-like experience. And here's the bonus: As we mentioned, we're located in the award winning, 4 season Hideout Community which comes with added perks! The Community enhances your enjoyment by providing excellent entertainment, and a host of amenities like golf, swimming (pools and lakes ), row boats, paddle boats, kayaks, tennis and so much more. There's also daily activities for the kids, an art center, clubhouse with more games, a gym, indoor tennis courts, fitness classes, and so much more! There's also basketball courts, outdoor tennis, fishing....really, it's too much to list. A few of these amenities bear a small daily use fee, usually under $5. You will not be bored, unless that's your goal, then feel free to veg out and just relax, we won't judge, we're just here to provide whatever you need to have the best experience possible.

Bottom line is, you'll see other homes in this community, but none that have thought of all the little details that we offer. You'll enjoy your stay in every way any season of the year.

HOUSE RULES

Please note there are neighbors around the house and sound travels far. We are trying to create a serene getaway for our guests as well as be respectful to our neighbors. So we ask that outside noise be kept to reasonable levels. To ensure this environment we have outdoor noise monitors.

Well behaved dogs under 30lbs allowed on a case-by-case basis for an additional $75 per pet fee.

Please note we have a minimum age requirement of 25 years old.

We require the majority of guests to be above 25 years old, with the exception of families with children.

- "Everything was as advertized" - "A group of friends and I rented this property and we couldn't have hoped for a better place to stay! From the moment we opened the door, we were amazed at the cleanliness, the open areas, and the amount of things to do! The bottom floor of the home aided our younger selves with an air hockey table, multiple old school games (Miss Pac Man & PinBall), and if we felt like relaxing - we could spend some time in the Sauna. The Second floor had enough space that NINE people felt like it wasn't enough to fill the seats at the table. Finally the third floor provided some nice quiet bedrooms when it came time to relax and unwind. Having all amenities within 5 miles (the golf course being a 30 second drive down the road!) was also a major plus! Our home is a modern cabin located in The Hideout, a premier, four season, 5-star gated community with 24 hr security, nestled within the Pocono mountains. With seasonal views, and only a 10 minute walk (or five minute bike ride) from beautiful Brooks Lake, you can snuggle by the fireplace, relax in front of the fire pit (surrounded by treetops) in the screened in porch or simply exhale in the hammock.

Main floor: Living room, Smart TV,reclining couch and reclining chair, air conditioning, eat-in kitchen with new stainless-steel appliances, coffee maker, Keurig, toaster, kitchen table seating up to 8, countertop digital air fryer oven. Kitchen comes fully stocked with cooking, eating utensils and place settings. All furniture in the living room and kitchen is new.

Main Floor: Two bedrooms each with queen bed and dressers. Each room has air conditioning and an overheadfan. Bathroom. All furniture is new. Bathroom located on main floor.

Loft: 1 Bedroom withqueen bed, dresser and overhead fan. Queen pullout couch in sitting area. Desk work area.

Front Deck: Picnic table and chairs. Gas grill. Back area has a pergola decorated with lights, table and chairs.

Please bring your own Linens (Sheets, pillowcases for beds and Towels are NOT provided. Linen package can be purchased for additional fee. There is a propane fire table set under a pergola in the backyard. Propane tank supplied.

There is a Weis Supermarket 3.3 miles away in the town of Hamlin. Three Dollar General Stores located within a few miles of Hideout Main gate.

Note: We are pet friendly with regard to dogs only and will allow up to two in the home. The non-refundable pet will be $ 20 a night for one dog / $ 30 a night for two per night. At check-in Agent will review your pet situation with regard to a charge.

There will be a registration form required to be filled out at least 3 days prior to your arrival for gate access. All drivers must show a valid drivers license and valid vehicle registration upon check in. There are no exceptions to this community requirement. There is a central trash facility for all owners and guests to use located within a 2 minute drive from the house. Trash is not picked up at the house and cannot be left at the house upon departure.

Please note that the community can close any amenity at their discretion, including lake usage. Homeowner is not responsible for this and will not offer any discounts or refunds for any closure, includes weather related closures.

The home is on a very cozy, quiet lot with a nice outdoor area. We enjoyed hanging on the front porch, the charcoal grill, the fire pit, and the screened-in outdoor porch. It is also close in proximity to the lake and pool, only a few minutes by car. The only hiccup we had was being unaware that the air-conditioning was limited to a single window unit in the master bedroom at the back of the house. We assume this is common for homes in this area, we just didn't know and thought there would be central air, or additional window units. It was a little challenging because it was hot during our stay (80-90) and the second bedroom where our littles slept averaged 75-80 degrees on our baby monitor. We ended up having to leave the master bedroom door open with a large fan (also provided by the owners, and new!) towards their bedroom keep it cooler. This worked well but also meant we had to leave their bedroom door open and be quiet so they didn't know we stay up late to watch tv and eat snacks without them! Overall we truly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this home. Hoping to book again during the colder months so we can enjoy the living room fireplace next time."

Nestled in The Hideout, a four-season Gold Star recreation community in Lake Ariel, PA, The Woodhill Hideout is your family's premier vacation home rental. This chalet-style home boasts four spacious bedrooms and three full baths. Due to new township regulations, we only allow 2 guests per bedroom plus an additional 2 (10 total guests). Walking through the doors, you are wowed by the two stories of windows and seasonal views of Roamingwood Lake through the towering trees surrounding the home. The main floor has a fully equipped kitchen to cook a gourmet meal for your family, a dining room with a reclaimed railroad tie table with seating for eight, and a spacious living room to relax, disconnect and chat with the family in front of the fireplace. The main floor has two bedrooms (King & Queen) with TVs and a full bath. Off the dining room, you will find the top deck with four comfortable rocking chairs, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee and the beautiful view and the music of mother nature.

The home's second level has a loft with a sleeper sofa and a landing station desk that makes you feel like you have an office in a treehouse. You will also find the spacious master bedroom with an ensuite and walk-in closet with a sitting chair. As you move down to the lower level, this is where the fun begins. We recommend you enjoy the outdoors, but if the weather does not permit, watch a movie or a game on the big 65-inch smart tv, challenge your family to a foosball game, or play one of our two classic arcade games for tons of old-school fun. Reconnect with your childhood and show your kids how you grew up with our vintage Atari. The lower level also has a 4th bedroom with bunk beds (Full size & Single) and another full bathroom.

The fun doesn't stop here; walk out the double sliding doors, and you are on one of the largest single-level decks in The Hideout. This massive deck has a covered outdoor kitchen with a sink, charcoal grill, ceiling fan, heater, and wood-burning oven. Picture yourself grilling with your family, enjoying a cold beer, and a few rounds of hook and ring toss. The deck also has an eight-seater dining table with an umbrella, a propane fire pit surrounded by 6 Big Easy Chairs, and a lounge area that twinkles from the Edison bulb lights hanging from the trees.

Inside you will find endless lake views from every room. This 1,595 sq ft, three-story home features 2 living room areas, 2 bedrooms, and 2 full bathrooms. The kitchen has all you need to cook your favorite vacation meal. Head to the basement for movie and game night. Play on the xbox, basketball hoop, or the mini combo table with air hockey, pool, and foosball. This space is very family friendly!

BEDS
As you wind down for the evening in one of the comfortable bedrooms, you will find each is furnished with soft linens and cozy bedding for a restful night's sleep. The primary bedroom has a queen, a pull-out, and a 65” tv. The second bedroom has a bunk bed with a queen and a twin. Both bedrooms are located on the top floor. The basement has a pull-out couch, and a 65”tv. The pull-out couches comfortably sleep two additional guests each.

EXTERIOR
Take a paddle on the lake with our kayaks, or in the colder months, head to nearby ski mountains for some adventure. Sit back and relax in one of the many furnished outdoor areas- the decks (that’s right, we have 2), the patio, your own private dock, the fire pit or in the hot tub. Great fishing opportunities to catch smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, pickerel, perch, catfish, crappie, bluegills, and sunfish (catch and release). Kayak around the islands – a great place to explore undisturbed nature and wildlife (fish, frogs, turtles, birds).

We fished from the dock, kayaked on the lake, hiked, read in the hammock, played pool, relaxed in the hot tub, and enjoyed evening card games and movie night. The kayaks and row boat were a huge hit, we were so thankful to enjoy them during unseasonably warm autumn weather! We didn’t utilize the fire pit (high fire risk/dry conditions during our visit), but the fire pit area was lovely. But for one dinner out we prepared all of our meals, and there were plenty of cooking and food prep supplies. I especially enjoyed the coffee provided. There were many thoughtful touches, such as shampoo and conditioner in the shower, throw blankets on the couches, and a dog bed for our Oreo. I would absolutely recommend a stay here - my 10 year old proclaimed it “the best house ever!” and is already asking when we can go back. "

My only feedback I would like to offer is to improve the lighting in the kitchen. There is plenty of natural light during the day, but it was very dim at night. - "Space was very clean, host was flexible on arrival time and very accommodating. Parking was tight, it’s a decent walk to the dock. No kitchen and smaller sized bathroom. Great place to stay overnight!! Longer then that can be difficult without the kitchen utilization." - "This rental is in a good location of the lake and has a private dock. However I would not recommend for large groups or friends. The listing was not clear that the rental space was a part of their personal property it was more like a private room. The bed set up was also different than the listing which wasn’t a problem for our group but could be for others. It was not clear that no more than 6 people are allowed on the property so our friend who joined us on the lake were not allowed on the property in the afternoon even though they were not staying with us. The listing was not ready at check in at 4 and we did not receive the access code until almost 5pm. The host made all the guests in your party incredibly uncomfortable and was unkind during the whole process. The host encouraged all communication to be completed outside of VRBO."

- "The rental experience started the morning we were supposed to check in. The owner texted about check in procedure and casually mentioned the first floor was not a part of the rental due to it being under construction. Ok no big deal but the real start of this terrible experience was at the front door. While opening the front door to the property the glass window in the door fell out on my head, shoulder, and knee. After calling the owner they informed us they were on their way from NYC and it would take several hours for them to get there to fix it. Luckily my husband was able to put the window back in because we rented for Presidents’ Day weekend. Upon inspection we noticed there were no screws securing the window. After getting into the unit we noticed the entire place smelled of cigarettes. The bathroom wasn’t even cleaned before we arrived, to say it was gross is an understatement. The place had wires that were electrical taped together. The beds were awful. There weren’t basic things like salt and pepper, or a dish drain. Finally after almost 12 hours after contacting the owner they stated they were unable to get a contractor to come and secure the window and asked if they wanted us to have them come over. By that point their was no point in having them fix it. The topper to the experience was there were giant ants the last morning of our stay. I’ll sum up this review by saying there is a picture in one of the bedrooms titled “The boulevard of broken dreams”-that is what this place is. Renters beware."

Ski Hill Lodge with Grill. Ski Rentals and lessons are available. (Note: some amenities will require reservation additional fees). *Quiet hours 10pm-10am, NO PARTIES. Please be mindful of our neighbors during your stay. Our house's quiet hours are in place to ensure that everyone can enjoy a peaceful night's sleep.

*Max 8 guests (if more than 6 quests, air mattresses can be provided)
*Max 3 cars in the driveway. No trailers or RV’s.

Experience PURA VIDA (Pure Life) with the family. There is something for everyone without having to leave the community all year round. Community includes: Ski Lift and Lodge, Tubing Run, Ice Skating on lake (bring skates), ice fishing & Sledding (weather permitting). Sports Complex, Arts Center, Golf Course, Lakes w/ Beach, Pools, Tiki bar, Gym, Sauna, Mini Golf. Some fees apply.
The space
Master suite with full bathroom and 2 queen beds on second floor. Large loft area with twin daybed and trundle, TV & balcony. First floor one bedroom with a queen bed. Full bathroom on first floor.
Sleds provided. Linens and towels provided. Shampoo, Conditioner & Body wash dispensers. Kitchen basic cookware & dinnerware.
Wood stove is only for decoration, please do not use!
$75 pet fee per pet per stay. Max 2

Gated community requires guest passes.
You assume all responsibility for all activities you and your guests participate in.
Personal information about you and the rest of the guests needed at the time of booking. 8 guests max and 3 cars max.
No additional overnight or day guests allowed other than the ones provided at time of booking.
6 amenity passes included with booking. They are $25 each if they are lost. Kids under 7 do not require passes.
Up to 3 adult personalized passes ( 21+ allows alcohol purchase)
Once you book, please provide your personal information to submit to the gate for passes. If not done timely, there is an $100 fee assessed by community that will be passed to you
