Deepwater Cabin is a solid timber framed structure built into the mountain side on the edge of the National Forest in a true, remote wilderness area. It is one of the very last waterfront dwellings up-lake, to the Northwest, that is still accessible by car. The cabin's grass- and fern-covered sod roof blends into the vegetation of its perch on a rocky point surrounded by sparkling blue Lake Chelan waters.

The location on a point gives expansive views up, down, and across the lake. Deepwater is half an hours’ drive from Chelan, far from any town lights, so one can see countless brilliant stars on a typical clear night. Watch shooting stars under the Milky Way out on the patio. In the day you will watch flocks of swallows swoop through the air catching insects, and osprey flying by, patrolling the shore for fish.

To access the lake, a trail switches back through rocky terraces down to a solid, newly built stairway and dock. At the clear, deep waters edge, swimmers can launch into the refreshing blue depths.

Boaters will have access to explore miles and miles of wilderness shoreline with a kayak, canoe or paddle board. Be aware that the lake access at Deepwater is very steep, so launching may be easier at the nearby 25 Mile State Park, a short paddle to the South.

Inside, the cabin is classic and cozy, with big sunny windows and two double patio doors. The two wings provide a sleeping space and a living/dining area, with the bath and kitchen in between. The bathroom has a new washing machine and a shower with plenty of pressure; pure water pumped straight from Lake Chelan! There is a drying rack for your wet laundry, which solar drys quickly on a typical sunny blue sky day.

The compact kitchen offers all major appliances offering all you need for great foodie meals, and the sunny, open patio is wonderful for reading, having meals and enjoying time together and an amazing place to relax. A small gas grill awaits your steaks or the beautiful trout the fisher-persons in the party may bring up from the lake, where the big fish swim by the dock.

A very comfortable queen-size log bed will accommodate two, while the living/dining area features a brand new fold-out full-size sofabed and an older long sofa for lounging and sleeping, accommodating one or two extra persons. The cabin is most appropriate for a couple or small family, it can sleep up to four. It's best to bring your own sleeping bags for any more than two, since the linens provided are for the queen bed only.

The historic, scenic South Lake Shore Trail built in the 40s by the CCC parallels the lake shore and begins just a short walk away. Larger boats can be launched at Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park, which is less than a mile from the cabin. Miles of Forest Service logging roads meander the hills just behind the property, providing access to National Forest lands for mountain bikers to explore the unparalleled wilderness beauty above the lake.

The town of Chelan has good restaurants, fun shops, a great health food store, and plenty of local wine tasting. The region has many wineries and vineyards, so you may want to take a day to sample the local fare.

One day of your visit can be spent on the Lady of The Lake, the local ferry, going up-lake to the remote community of Stehekin, which has a great bakery and access to amazing hikes in the North Cascades National Park. Another day trip nearby could be to Holden Village, a Lutheran Camp 12 miles up into the mountains, which also can be reached on The Lady of the Lake ferry. This is a playful, festive intentional community which is open to guests and provides meals and full accommodations in a village that was once a thriving copper mine.

Beware the deer when driving South Lake Shore Road.

- "The cabin and amenities were very nice. We enjoyed our stay. However there was one wrinkle we must make note of. We were disappointed that the propane grill didn’t work. We had a nice meal planned around it based on the advertised availability. When we contacted host services for assistance the situation was not addressed and no attempt to correct the problem was attempted. This would have been an easy fix if someone had checked the propane tank to ensure it functioned properly in the first place."

- "This is a quaint and charming vacay rental. The view sells itself and that was worth the price of admission. Utilities and amenities were all solid and working. Beds were comfortable and clean. Every morning we were greeted by a heard of deer and their babies. Morning coffee was great on both the front porch and back porch. PRIVATE! No one around! The kids enjoyed the finished garage. Even in the heat it didn’t get too hot out there for them (it’s not air conditioned where the bunk beds are). The kitchen was well stocked and clean. I think you need to manage your expectations when getting vacay rentals because they’re not 4 star hotels. The deck and the hot tub could use a good amount of attention since the back view is really the feature of the whole property. I would definitely book here again. My mom and kids loved it and I was really proud to bring them there."

If you’re bringing your own boats it is best to launch them from the ferry terminal, it’s a very short paddle to the private dock. When it's time to retire for the evening, the home offers two queen bedrooms on the second level as well as a queen sleeper on the mezzanine. The large vaulted third-floor loft has yet another queen bed as well as twin bunk beds.

The Tift Lake House is a unique sanctuary for vacationers who just want to escape, but when you want to get connected, the cabin features 5G Internet throughout, Dishnet TV, and DVD player on the main floor and an additional TV and DVD player in the loft. The cabin is just one mile from Field's Point Landing where you can catch a ride from the Lake Chelan Boat Company or the Courtney Ranch boats to Lucerne and Stehekin.

Launch your boat at Mill Bay boat launch (across from gas station) 10 minutes away. You will pass it on your arrival day.

Property has security cameras outside. It also has an alarm system and is monitored by ADT.

Once you step inside you will feel right at home.

Full kitchen with just about everything you need.
(pots, pans, blender, coffee maker, French press, popcorn maker, waffle maker, toaster, variety of spices, air fryer, plates, silverware, wine glasses, plastic glasses, child size dishes, blender, knives, steak knives etc.....( the fridge has an ice maker, but it can be slow, so I encourage you to buy a bag of ice.)

We fill 3 tanks .... if you run out, you can have it refilled or exchange at The Red Apple market in Manson.

You supply your own (napkins, paper plates) foil, zip lock, cling wrap etc...
1 roll of paper towels is provided.
2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom is provided.
Bring your own Beach towels. Do not bring bath towels to the beach.

At the park below you will find playground toys, picnic tables, big trees for plenty of shade, swim area and sandy beach. We have our own private buoy for your boat or jet ski. Closet boat launch is 5 minutes away. Located across from the casino. NO WAKE zone is 300 ft from shore. Harbor Patrol frequents the park, so know the boating and jet ski rules of the lake or the neighbors will call you in.

It is a perfect getaway for any circumstance. However this home is for smaller groups. It only comfortably sleeps 6, HOWEVER, it does have options for larger groups. Reach out to owner to discuss.

Our favorite time is spring and fall. GORGEOUS! October wineries have "The Crush" and Octoberfest in Leavenworth. The town is not so busy and restaurants are easy to get into.
“Winterfest” is always a family favorite and is held in January.

February has chocolates and wine festivities

May and June are golden times to go to Lake Chelan if you want to stay away from crowds. The sun is out, the flowers are in full bloom and the park is typically quiet.
Summer time is different. The park is full July and August.

Help yourself to the backyard picnic table and yard games.
IF there is blueberries on the bushes be sure to grab a handful. Be sure to clean the BBQ after each use and leave it nice for the next guest.

The backyard sprinklers come on 3 times a day.

Take a dip in the lake at Willow Point Park, just two-and-a-half miles from your front door. After a day of fun on the water, slow things down with wine tasting at any of several nearby wineries. Enjoy one of the numerous restaurants in downtown Manson, just four miles east from the home. In Manson, you'll also find boat and jet-ski rentals along with a variety of entertainment at the Mill Bay Casino. Chelan is just 12 short miles away should you want to head into town.

Getting Around:
A 4x4 is recommended during the winter months.

Other Things to Note:
The seasonal pool is open approximately May through mid October, depending on weather. Due to popular demand, the hot tub has been relocated and is now in the pool area. Will upload new pics soon. Please note that this home is equipped with a Ring doorbell security camera that is pointed at the exterior entry walkway and driveway, along with Arlo security camera's that monitor the exterior of the home while the home is vacant. The home has Free WiFi and the Sofabed is located on the main floor living room area. Chelan County Permit STR 000500. No Parties, No Events, No Smoking. No pets. Quiet hours are 10pm - 7am. Strict enforcement!

You must be 25 years or older to rent this property. No unauthorized guests. If discovered, a fee of $150 per person will be charged and host may cancel booking immediately and without refund. Any unnaproved late check out's will result in a $150 fee. Our cleaners have a full day and a set schedule in advance that needs to be respected.

VRBO and Direct Bookings: A 3% non refundable processing fee, or $150 plus tax, whichever is greater or at managers sole discretion will apply to all VRBO and Direct bookings, and will not be returned if the reservation is canceled at any time after booking.

- "My family (three couples and one teenager) stayed here for one week. When you arrive, you are greeted with amazing views. The pictures on the listing don’t do it justice. The house is spacious. Everyone had their own room and the only two rooms who had to share a bathroom were on the main floor. The house was also clean and well stocked. I also liked all the different ways to get out to the pool (downstairs bedroom, back deck, etc). We spent most of our time in the pool. There was plenty of seating for everyone and the pergola was nice to shield us from the hot sun. We also spent every evening on the back deck. The ONLY complaint would be that the cushion on the loveseat needed replacing (you could feel the bars underneath which made it uncomfortable). We just made the kids sit there haha The deck had a nice BBQ and was quiet and relaxing. We’d watch the sunsets each night and then watch the sunshine climb up the hill opposite the house each morning. We didn’t spend too much time inside, but appreciated the large farmhouse style table to eat dinner at. If you’re looking for a nice, clean, roomy house in a quiet neighborhood with views and a pool, then this is it."
