River Bend park in Oroville is 12 minutes south and has a water play area, huge soccer fields, pavilions, river access and fishing.

Lake Oroville Dam (the tallest and largest Dam in the United States) is about 25 minutes, the fish hatchery in Oroville about 15 minutes. 2 casinos in Oroville are both about 20 minutes. Mount Lassen National Park is about 90 miles North, Lakes Basin is about 2 hours, and Lake Tahoe is a little over 2 hours away. Downtown Chico is 20 minutes, Costco in Chico is less than 20 minutes and Super Walmart in Oroville is about 15 minutes South. Let the hosts know if you ride or are bringing dirt bikes. Lots of great places in the area to ride trails or track and we can help point you in the right direction.

- "We rented this property with a group of friends and our kids. We had 10 adults and 8 kids, we all had a blast! Enough room to run around and for everyone to have their space when needed. Enough beds for everyone, and some! Some of the couples with little kids splitted up and they both got their own room. The views are stunning, the quietness of the surrounding is amazing. What made the stay the best though I believe was the owner and the property managers. They were responsive, friendly laid back. They gave us our privacy yet we’re there for whatever needed. Terry took us and the kids on a ride in his truck to go feed the animals and check out the creek, big hit with the little ones! The kids loved the hot tub and we also brought a kiddie pool that came in pretty handy when it got too hot. I must say we lucked out with the weather cause it wasn’t too hot when we were there, I can see how it can get a lot warmer. That being said though the patio is amazing, gets plenty of shade and an amazing breeze blows all day long. I cannot say enough good things about this place and their managers. We will definitely come back!!"

**** Other Things to Note ****

**** Some key highlights to consider: ****

• The house, deck and patio are private. The property is shared between the guests of both houses and otherwise on the property.

• THERE IS NO DIRECT ACCESS TO THE LAKE FOR SWIMMING, the property is on a steep decline into the lake, guarded by trees and rocks.

• At times, the lake level is low and not visible from the deck, but can be seen from the edge of the property.

• The roads once you get off of the 70 highway heading into our property (Truex and Trevor) and all of the properties on them are private, and our neighbors are quite protective about that (you’ll see the signs), so please limit traveling on them slowly to getting in and out of the property only. DO NOT go beyond our driveway (which would be taking a right when leaving the driveway) on Trevor road as this is a private road.

• The refrigerator and freezer will be emptied, but we have a full array of dry seasonings and spices to cook with.

• The water and ice dispenser on the outside of the refrigerator does not work, but the faucet water is safe to drink, and there is ice in the freezer. Also note that our refrigerator can make a buzzing sound periodically as it cools

• This is a cabin with a septic system, so there are times that the guest bathroom has an odor when it is unused. Running water through the sink, shower and flushing the toilets helps eliminate it.

• Specifically for large towels, we provide one large towel per person, so 10 total for 10 guests, in order to reduce cleaning costs.

• We have brand new split units (wall units) in the living room and master bedroom, a portable AC unit (can be a bit on the louder side) and space heater set up in the guest bedroom, a fireplace in the living room, and space heaters for the bathrooms, for your comfort.

• We have four security cameras on-site, all are outside. One each faces the front of each house, and the other two are near the “Store” monitoring the backyard. They are on, but only trigger by extreme motion, such as cars driving through.

• While our property is very fun and offers lots of adventures, please be advised that there are dangerous elements such as steep slopes, play structures, high structures without railings, poisonous plants, poisonous/dangerous wildlife, holes, tall trees with brittle branches, rope swings, zip-lines, wildfire risks, mudslide risks, bicycles and many other dangerous or potentially deadly elements out of our control. You and your guests are at your own risks with no liability to the owners when you book our property.

• If you need to have mail sent to the property during your stay, send it via UPS or Fedex so that it is delivered to the front door. DO NOT SEND VIA THE UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE (USPS), since the mailbox is not accessible since it is a vacation property.

• For the Recycling Bin in front of the house, ONLY put empty cans, glass bottles, or plastic bottles in them. NO TRASH.

• We have Orkin Pest Control for inside and outside the house, but we also live in a wooded, rural area near the lake. As such, there may be occasional spiders, mouse droppings, ants or other bugs that sneak their way inside. We do our best to prevent this, but there are some things out of our control.

**** Guest Access ****

The house is located about 30 minutes southeast of Chico off of highway 70. There is about 0.5 miles of a non-lighted, gravel road leading to the driveway that can be easily navigated by all types of cars. The property offers plenty of space for parking several vehicles, including oversized vehicles such as RVs.

The house is equipped with a smart lock to allow hassle free check-in and easy access for all guests.

The roads once you get off of the 70 highway heading into our property (Truex and Trevor) and all of the properties on them are private, and our neighbors are quite protective about that (you’ll see the signs), so please limit traveling on them to getting in and out of the property only.

Please travel very slowly on the unpaved portion of the road leading up to our driveway.

- "We wanted a short trip to relax and unwind, and this Creek House delivered! The creek was amazing- cool and relaxing with a beautiful babble. The wildlife was different every day, and a dog came to play with my daughter when she started to get restless. The house itself is equipped with everything in excellent condition- no chipped dishes and scratched pots and pans without lids which is sometimes the case with VRBO. We went down to Collins Lake for some of the legendary ice cream cones, up to Chico to check out the University, and then really just hung out at the house- no need to go more places. Next time I need a get away, I will be thinking of the Creek House. Everyone was sad to leave."

The complex has a covered patio with patio furniture for outside smokers or to enjoy the garden, lighted carport, gated complex. This location in the downtown area close to farmers markets, casinos, Oro Dam/lake, bars/restaurants, antique shops, airport, etc. All 4 units are a different theme and exceptionally clean and comfortable.

**** Other Things to Note ****

• The house and patio are private. The property is shared between the guests of both houses and otherwise on the property.

• THERE IS NO DIRECT ACCESS TO THE LAKE FOR SWIMMING, the property is on a steep decline into the lake, guarded by trees and rocks.

• At times, the lake level is low, but can be seen from the edge of the property.

• The roads once you get off of the 70 highway heading into our property (Truex and Trevor) and all of the properties on them are private, and our neighbors are quite protective about that (you’ll see the signs), so please limit traveling on them slowly to getting in and out of the property only. DO NOT go beyond our driveway (which would be taking a right when leaving the driveway) on Trevor road as this is a private road.

• The refrigerator and freezer will be emptied, but we have a full array of dry seasonings and spices to cook with.

• The water and ice dispenser on the outside of the refrigerator does not work, but the faucet water is safe to drink, and there is ice in the freezer.

• We have a septic system, so there are times that the laundry room has an odor when it is unused. Doing laundry in the washing machine and taking showers helps eliminate it.

• Specifically for large towels, we provide one large towel per person, so 6 total for 6 guests, in order to reduce cleaning costs.

• We have portable AC/Heat units in the bedrooms (which can be a bit on the louder side), space heaters in the bedrooms and bathroom, a window AC unit and portable AC unit in the living room, a furnace in the living room, and a faux-fireplace in the entertainment center in the living room.

• We have 1 TV setup on guest mode, which you can log into any of your streaming subscriptions.

• We have four security cameras on-site, all are outside. One each faces the front of each house, and the other two are near the “Store” monitoring the backyard. They are on, but only trigger by extreme motion, such as cars driving through.

• While our property is very fun and offers lots of adventures, please be advised that there are dangerous elements such as steep slopes, play structures, high structures without railings, poisonous plants, poisonous/dangerous wildlife, holes, tall trees with brittle branches, rope swings, zip-lines, wildfire risks, mudslide risks, bicycles and many other dangerous or potentially deadly elements out of our control. You and your guests are at your own risks with no liability to the owners when you book our property.

• If you need to have mail sent to the property during your stay, send it via UPS or Fedex so that it is delivered to the front door. DO NOT SEND VIA THE UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE (USPS), since the mailbox is not accessible since it is a vacation property.

• For the Recycling Bin in front of the house, ONLY put empty cans, glass bottles, or plastic bottles in them. NO TRASH.

• We have Orkin Pest Control for inside and outside the house, but we also live in a wooded, rural area near the lake. As such, there may be occasional spiders, mouse droppings, ants or other bugs that sneak their way inside. We do our best to prevent this, but there are some things out of our control.

**** Guest Access ****

The house is located about 30 minutes southeast of Chico off of highway 70. There is about 0.5 miles of a non-lighted, gravel road leading to the driveway that can be easily navigated by all types of cars. The property offers plenty of space for parking several vehicles, including oversized vehicles such as RVs.

The house is equipped with a smart lock to allow hassle free check-in and easy access for all guests.

There is a living room, dinning area, kitchen, and a laundry room. This home is immaculate and fresh. It’s natural light is abundant. Master bedroom have a French doors that opens to this impressive deck overlooking the horizon with a breathtaking view. The charming second bedroom has a closet and it’s own bathroom. The wrap around porch has access to the sunroom and covered patio. Downstairs is the guesthouse that is separate from the upstairs.

Other things to note
Town is 5 miles away. Montgomery Drive is the old part of town and is my favorite. It has historical buildings with some nice restaurants and shops. Union Cafe is my favorite. Fri and Sat they have live bands from 6-9pm. Louisa and her husband owns it and they are lovely. Make sure introduce yourself if they’re not busy. Food it super!
