We had a great location close to the water with a great screened in patio" - "Due to a family emergency, we drove from Colorado to Florida with our dog. The location made it easier for us to assist with the family emergency while I also had to continue to work. The high-speed Internet was excellent and handled with no issue the constant video-meetings I had to take each day. The community is nicely maintained and quiet - well, except for the sandhill cranes, ha ha! They kept us entertained, along with the squirrels, bunnies, other birds and gators! Because the property is on a lake, there are bugs and cob webs, this is unavoidable. The property owners are making upgrades to their unit and AC system which will really help. Bottom line, this is tiny home living and it's important to be prepared for that! For our needs, it was great."

- "This is a gem of a place. Nestled in the woods you can totally relax and decompress. There are lots of amenities… volleyball and basketball courts. Walking around the grounds you can relax with your fur babies knowing the fenced in yard is secure. Our dogs loved getting to run around and enjoyed all the different scents and smells of nature. The host is easily assessable and very quick to respond to any questions. Check in and check out is easy and check out time of before noon is very generous. The home is clean and very well equipped. Comfy and clean furnishings and bedding. It’s a great place! You won’t be disappointed!"

Birds that can be routinely viewed from the dock including eagles, osprey, sandhill cranes, herons and so many more! Wildlife that will often make an appearance: pair of otters and the Florida alligator! No worries, they stay in the water! Morning sunrise over the lake viewed from the sunroom or out on the dock is one of our favorite times! With a cup of coffee, it is the best! Enjoy the use of the rowboat to do some simple fishing and exploring or maybe the golfcart to take a ride to the local restaurant the Big Dog Outpost....not a big place :) Evenings relax with lake views, maybe some bird watching while supper is on the grill! Make use of the Starlink internet and separate workspace desk if you must but take time to recognize and enjoy the nature that surrounds you!

- "The house is a little removed from town which makes it possible to be able to enjoy the peacefulness of the lake, the fresh air and the cool breeze through the pine thicket (maybe the Mexican Weeping Pine), but yet, close enough to make a quick trip into town (maybe 15 minutes or less). It was a perfect place to just relax. It was nice to have the little fenced in area out back for my dogs. I did not have the best experience with the management company check-in but my communication with the owner more than made up for the management company. The owner was quick to respond and more than willing to help if need be. My husbandand I look forward to returning for a longer stay. We did not get to enjoy the provided kayak but it was nice to have it readily available and will definitely enjoy it next time."

This is a charming lake house with tile throughout the home. It sits directly on Lake Walk in Water. The covered dock is huge and has space to tie up three boats with a boat lift set up for a bass boat. The dock is in a very sheltered cove with protection from the usual northeast winds. The yard is fully fenced perfect for your young kids and pets.

The home is made of cedar, stone and stucco. It is very private and sheltered in a small enclave of only 12 homes in the middle of the state forest.

You will have access to the whole property except outbuildings, sheds and an outside closet.

We have a bojo bug light if you really want to catch fish. Turn the light on overnight. It attracts fish to the dock because it attracts bugs on the dock and on the water. Then you can fish all night. Be prepared for a big pile of bugs. When the May flies are out, the fishing is amazing. If you don’t appreciate the bugs, leave the light out overnight. This home has amazing lake views so you will see alligators, eagles and ospreys fishing. You can catch trophy fish right from the dock in the comfort of a sheltered and private setting. With a little effort fishing, you can rope in large mouth bass, blue gills, shell crackers, stump knockers, speckled perch (crappie), monster catfish, butter cats, and gar. We catch all of these easily from the dock! The trick is the Bojo bug light that feeds the fish nightly at our dock. We are the only one in the cove with this light so it brings the fish to their kitchen to eat nightly. They then hang out under the dock during the day. If you would like a boat for your stay, one can be delivered to the dock gassed up and ready to enjoy with advanced notice.

There is one camera mounted on the roof eaves that aims toward the driveway and front fence. The Wyse camera records audio and video and stores the recording for two weeks. The backyard, lakeside, inside, carport and dock do not have cameras.

Nestled among pine trees, Casa Cabin is the Florida retreat you’ve been dreaming about with its log cabin exterior and wood furniture inside. This four bedroom three full bathroom open floor plan home, is the perfect family retreat. The kitchen has a large peninsula island and all the comforts of home. Guest must have access deed and sign in through the front gate. The home is also ideal for air boaters and boaters alike! With so many lakes around, including the Lake Kissimmee boat ramp or Camp Mack, your days will be full of fishing and gator watching. Don’t have a way to get on the water, no problem. Grape Hammock (10 mins) offers an airboat ride tour you’ll never forgot. Hiking trails, including Water in Water and many more are plenty nearby for our bird watchers. This property is perfect for adrenaline junkies or families alike looking to relax and disconnect from everything. Enjoyed the day and need some more entertainment? Westgate River Ranch is 12 minutes away. Catch the rodeo on a Saturday night or all the amenities during the day. Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales is absolutely gorgeous and should be on everyone’s list to visit.
