Or step out of the screen area to the 50 foot, furnished, outdoor patio with wood burning fire pit. Enjoy fishing off the dock or floating platform or take a refreshing swim or kayak (2 kayaks provided) in your own private lake. Start your day admiring the spectacular sunrises from the eastern facing patio. And, if you’re lucky, you can witness a rocket launch from Cape Canaveral (70 miles away), directly from the back patio. A night launch is especially spectacular to witness.

Are pets allowed? Yes. There will be an additional charge of $30/day. This additional charge will be passed on to our cleaning crew for additional pet clean up. We are doggie lovers and our home and property provide a fun, happy, and comfortable space for your beloved fur babies. Dogs are welcomed in the home BUT we do ask that if the dog is not potty trained, that they be crated when indoors. We will happily provide the crate. The yard is completely fenced, allowing your pet plenty of room to run and play. Doggie dishes and a sleeping crate are available upon request. The back patio has a convenient Doggie Door so that your pet can come into the patio as desired. Our pups love the water, and the lake offers a lot of swimming fun. BUT this is Florida, there are Alligators in every body of water, so please be aware and keep your eyes open for any lurking uninvited guests. And Please, if you see an Alligator DO NOT FEED THEM. It’s illegal and dangerous.
We start every rental off with a starter supply of toilet paper (2 roll per bathroom), 2 rolls of paper towels for kitchen, garbage bags in kitchen trash can, hand soap and lotion in bathrooms and kitchen (pump or bar), dishwashing soap, dishwasher, and laundry biodegradable sheets (in moderation) and hand towels in kitchen and bath. You will need to bring more for if/when you run out. Additionally, you will find the “Spice Drawer” in the Kitchen fully stocked. If you have forgotten personal toiletry items, you will find a basket in the Master Bath Closet filled with soaps, shampoos, lotions, disposable toothbrushes, etc. Help yourself “Only As Needed”.

We hosted family (including kids) for pool parties, dinners, movies, and sleepovers. We rode bikes around the lake a couple times and to get food at the nearby grocery store, and were able to use ride share services when family weren’t available to drive us around. Pool towels, noodles, sunscreen - even pool diapers were stocked. The screened-in porch is EXCELLENT for meals and the fountain at the pool is such a great touch. Property mgr was RIGHT ON IT when the battery in front door lock died. If you love to walk, you just have to cross the street for a paved path around a lake. This three bedroom two bath home is located on a quiet neighborhood street. The back yard faces a canal that leads to one of the cleanest and most beautiful lakes in Central Florida, Crooked Lake. We strive to create a clean, fresh, relaxing place for our guests to stay.

The house has fresh paint and we have installed new flooring in most of the house. We provide bedding suitable for your comfort and a good night's sleep. There is a king size Sealy Black Beautyrest in the master bedroom. The family room is outfitted with a leather sectional and love seat which feature recliner rockers, recliners and motion recliners.

While dining inside you can enjoy looking out on the water where we frequently observe a variety of water birds and ducks. Some of the birds frequently sighted are wood ducks, whistling ducks, great blue herons, little blue herons, white ibis, ospreys and many more.... less frequent visitors such as the bald eagle and roseate spoonbills are also a treat to see!

Outdoors we have a covered breezeway which is a nice open place to sit outside. The back yard is fenced allowing plenty of room for your dog to get some outside time.

Crooked Lake is listed as one of Florida’s Outstanding waters and is a large lake, over 4,000+ acres. It is a favorite fishing destination for local and traveling fisherman. The perimeters of vegetation and brush around this lake make excellent cover and habitat for largemouth bass. Bring your boat and fishing gear to discover why Florida has been described as the “Bass Capital of the World”. Other freshwater game fish to try for are specs, bluegills, shell crackers and catfish. Many fisherman enjoy a peaceful evening of night fishing for specs! Other lakes in the general area are Lake Kissimmee, Lake Walk-in-the-Water, Lake Clinch and Lake Reedy.

In addition to fishing, Crooked Lake is known as a great lake for swimming, water skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding.... just about anything to do with water. It’s just a great lake! There are two boat ramps on the lake, one public (on Little Crooked Lake) with no charge and one private (Bob's Landing), with a small charge (take cash). Bring your boat and you can park it right behind the house when you aren't out fishing, boating or swimming!

For those that love theme parks, the Orlando theme parks are only an hour away.... Walt Disney World, Epcot, MGM studios, Animal Kingdom, Universal Studios, and SeaWorld. Legoland in Winter Haven is a twenty-minute drive. And Busch Gardens in Tampa is 1hr 15min away. Nearby cities are Lake Wales, Winter Haven, Lakeland, Auburndale, Haines City, Frostproof and Bartow. For a dip in the salt water, this home is in the center of the state, a short trip to either of Florida's coasts...the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean.

Our area also boasts natural trails for hiking and beautiful Bok Tower Gardens. Two trails worth noting are the Crooked Lake Prairie and the Circle Bar B Ranch in Lakeland.

Some favorite local restaurants are Crazy Fish (casual seafood), Melanie's Seafood Kitchen (downtown Lake Wales), The Crooked Bass Grill and Tavern, Frostbite (cute diner with hand dipped ice cream), The Ranch Coffee house and Taproom (lite fare, no dinner) and the delicious L'Incantro Italian restaurant. Several of these are closed on Mondays.

This home was purchased in the last year, and we are striving to create a clean, fresh, relaxing place for our guests to stay. The house has three living areas each with comfortable power reclining leather seating. The large galley kitchen is adjacent to the dining area and family room. It has all of the large appliances one would expect. The full-sized washer and dryer are located in the house at the far end of the kitchen.
The three bedrooms and both bathrooms have been freshly painted and are outfitted with the furniture you need for a comfortable stay. The master bedroom has a queen bed, the corner bedroom has a king Serta Black Beautyrest mattress, and the front bedroom has a queen bed. Each room has new bedding.
The house also has a double garage and carport for parking in the shade, or plenty of room for a boat trailer. The BEST part of the house, in our opinion, is the waterfront location leading to the lake.

It has pastries and such at breakfast time, a small lunch menu with home made items like chicken salad, and appetizers at dinner time. We’ve only been to lunch, but everyone loved it.

Each bedroom includes a queen bed with soft headboard, ceiling fan, USB ports built into the nightstands for charging, large wall mounted 4K Smart TV, black out curtains, and a walk in closet with plenty of shelving for smart storage. The two full baths include tile floors, quartz counters, fully tiled glass enclosed showers, soap, shampoo, conditioner, towels, hair dryer, and all basic emergency amenities in case you forgot anything. Full kitchen includes all amenities such as Keurig Coffee Maker (we include the k-cups), teapot (and tea), toaster, beautiful built in lighting, all quartz countertops, glass windowed soft-close premium cabinetry, microwave, convection oven, premium cookware, basic spices and full size refrigerator with ice and water through the door. Our home has 2 bdrms the master has a king ized bed and there are two twin beds in the second bdr. There is a comfortable sleep sofa on the 4 season lanai and a futon in our "flex room". 2 full baths. The lanai has sliding windows, A/C and heat for yr round comfort. 2 55' flat screen TVs (1 in living rm and 1 in lanai) with a third TV in the master bdrm. Gas grill on patio. - "We absolutely loved our stay here. We originally booked for one night and extended another night as we loved this location! It’s just down the road from Peppa Pig theme park, Legoland, and Bok Tower Gardens. Walking distance to the lake and playgrounds! The house is historic on the outside but newly renovated on the inside! Two very comfortable queen beds, full kitchen, incredible walk in shower and the host leaves little amenities like snacks, toiletries, and even spices and foil. It was located in a safe, quiet area and our elderly cocker spaniel even found himself comfortable. We plan to visit this property again soon! Don’t pass this one up!"

This is a charming fully furnished cabin, two bedrooms and one bath. It offers two queen beds along with a large eat-in kitchen and handicapped-accessible bathroom with safety bars. Very spacious and comfortable living room area with large Smart TV with viewing apps and DirecTV.

When we cut the second bedroom light on there were 3 lizards running across the floor. We know this is florida but this was way too much for us. One lizard ran across the wall jumping in the curtains. We got there at 10 pm and left at 4 am and didnt not return because of this. The owners did off us an addition 2 nights at another time and would run some machine then to run off the lizards. We declined but thanked them for the offer. We spent over 800 for 5 hours at this cabin. Would not return. "

Nestled into the hillside of quiet Blue Lake is our waterfront home. The fragrance of orange blossoms sweetens the southern air. A view of orange groves and approximately 20 homes across the lake. Relax outside to the peaceful sound of waves washing in. White sandy shore line is visible, the water is clear not murky. Each evening at dusk the sun sets across the lake, beautiful, awesome, can't say enough!
Our house is fully equipped with everything a vacationer would need, and more. Kitchen includes; all the normal things, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, mixer, blender, cups, dishes, silverware, utensils, pots & pans, mixing bowls, foil & plastic wrap, dish cloths & kitchen towels, napkins, paper products, sorry no dishwasher. Bathroom includes; tub with shower, towels-bath, hand, washcloths. Sorry no washer & dryer, but there are sheets for 2 twin XL beds or 1 queen bed, comforter, pillows, blankets.

The beach is in your back yard, (Mother Nature controls water levels in Florida lakes, we make no guarantee on water height, which effects the beach area). You can enjoy fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, lots of birds in the yard, Sandhill cranes, herons, ducks, egrets, marsh hens, eagles across the lake in the orange groves. If you own a motor boat or ski boat you can keep it at the dock. We do not rent our boat lift. There is no public boat launch, only residents can get on the lake, you launch from your backyard. A 4-wheel drive is recommended for launching a ski boat.
