Scenic View is located in beautiful Millerstown, PA. Sparkling clean, tastefully furnished and decorated, you'll find it a lovely place for your next business trip or family getaway. There is an eat-in kitchen stocked with the basics for cooking and baking, a cozy living room filled with natural light, three bedrooms- two with queen beds and one full, and one full and a half baths. The basement has a set of twin bunks and a sleeper sofa. Outdoors, you'll find a nice yard with a lovely view where you can set up games or relax and unwind.

The Susquehanna River is only a few miles from Scenic View lodging. We also offer kayak rentals if you request them. After you book, contact us, and we will give you the phone number to contact the rental facility.

There are three bedrooms up top and a full bathroom and on the bottom floor of the split level is a bathroom with laundry, a large open area with a gas fireplace (the remote is on the wall by the stairs) and there is a nook off to the side that has the bunk bed. While the house has a garage, the owners have their personal items stored in the garage so you do not have access to that area. Parking was not an issue at all as the driveway in front of the house is quite expansive and had plenty of room for our vehicles. The backyard is large and open and the entire property is very well maintained. Along rt147 which is a busy road and there will be traffic noise as well as a train that runs a few times each day. It’s only outside of the rooms that you really notice.

In the summer months, the river is an awesome place to swim and wade (our children love it and spend hours in the water). We provide kayaks for your enjoyment. Or if you prefer, enjoy our riverside deck and fire ring. If the weather is not as accommodating, enjoy the beautiful river view from our insulated sun porch.

Located just north of Liverpool, PA, it's fun to sleuth and dig up the area's rich canal history. Shine Coffee Shop is a great place to start that journey. Don't miss the Pizza at Chris' OIP or the steaks at Old Trail Tavern. From March through October, you won't want to miss the local ice cream shop, Susquehanna Soft Serve. The area has several local wineries. Check out Base Camp Outfitters or Weavers Archery for your outdoor needs. The Snyder County produce auction runs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday seasonally. If you have a shopping itch, Selinsgrove boasts a number of main-line retailers. Hershey, PA is less than an hour (around 45 minutes), with Hershey Park, the Chocolate World, and outlets, there is plenty to do. Venture a little further, and within 90 minutes, you can be in Amish country in Lancaster county, or in Penn State for the big game. We are under 30 minutes to Bucknell and Susquehanna Universities.

It's the best of both worlds, we are in the middle of everything, while being in the middle of nowhere. We are virtually surrounded by state game lands, on the river Islands, as well as just across the highway. This area of the Susquehanna River is world class catch & release bass fishing with easy access to numerous boat launches. The highway is close to the house and you will hear some road noise. You have a shared driveway that runs between the house and the river deck. Remember the river is part of nature and can be wild and untamed if the water table is high. With the river, please monitor children and anyone at risk at all times, so that your vacation ends as happily as it began.

Your pets are welcome to join you here (but must stay on the first floor), however, there will be an additional $100 fee.

Two pets are welcome to join you on the 1st floor (ground) area, not upstairs. We ask that any pets are mentioned in the booking, and owners clean up after their pets and dispose of any waste properly. Please be aware there is a $100 fee plus associated taxes and fees for their stay.

No automatic Sunday check-in. We like to give our cleaners a break that day. If needed, please request it and we'll see what we can do.

As the listing already states, one side of the house faces the river, the other faces a rather busy road. That said, cars driving by is it's own kind of white noise so it wasn't so bad. It's about a 40 minute drive to any points of interest, so that may be an issue for some. We enjoyed use of the kayaks, fire pit and fooseball table. The beds and seating in the house were all comfortable and communication with the host was great."

This cozy cabin sits in the Susquehanna River valley right by the Susquehanna River. There are multiple state game lands nearby. Walk out the door and you are right on the riverbank. The cabin is only a 25-minute drive to Harrisburg, 15 minutes to the Selinsgrove, and 30 minutes to Lewisburg. This serene cabin is perfect for "unplugging." The location was great for hiking on the AT, and the local winery was great. We loved being so close to the Susquehanna and enjoyed wading in the river since the water is so low right now. We've stayed at many cabins through the east coast and look for the little things in a comfortable stay. There was a Keurig in the kitchen, shampoo and conditioner in the shower, fluffy towels, and the good toilet paper and paper towels. In small spaces, I also appreciate lots of hooks to hang things, good air conditioning, and cozy blankets for cold nights. The cabin was clean and most of the cabin had been recently updated. Communication was great with the owner. Great stay all around!"
