Historic Brick Townhouse in the heart of downtown. The Hill Family occupied this home for almost 85 years. Recently renovated with all of the modern amenities, you'll love the 1900s charm of this home with its fireplaces, transom windows, and exposed brick. A 5 minute walk will take you to the Yuengling Brewery Tour and downtown area, which includes a coffee shop, bakeries, museums, shopping, and several restaurants. A short drive to Vraj Temple, hiking, wineries, and golf courses.

Guests will immediately feel a sense of warmth and coziness entering the rental through the original wood and glass front door. Just 12 blocks from Yuengling Brewery, and a short drive to downtown, The Carol is centrally located within the city.
The space
The first floor includes a spacious living room with modern and classic furniture and a Smart TV, a dining room that can comfortably host dinner for 8 people, and a brand new fully equipped kitchen with gorgeous marble countertops, stainless steel appliances, and the original farmhouse sink from 1930. Finishing off the first floor is the covered back porch including new patio furniture and string lights.

The second floor includes the first full bathroom equipped with the original clawfoot tub restored with a new shower unit. Next to the bathroom is a bedroom with a full sized bed and Smart TV. The master suite with a king size bed and Smart TV is also on the second floor, and this includes a very large bathroom with double sinks and a 5-foot tile and glass shower.

The third floor includes the 3rd and 4th bedrooms. The first bedroom on the third floor has a full size bed with a Smart TV, and the second bedroom includes 2 twin size beds and a writing desk as a designated work space.

Guests will have access to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors, including a spacious covered porch off of the kitchen.

Please Note:

1. Pet Policy: This property is NOT pet friendly. Please note, if we find evidence of an unauthorized pet in the home, we will ask for it to be removed immediately and guests will be charged a $400 non-refundable fine. This is also grounds for immediate removal of the guests from the home.

2. No Smoking: If any signs of smoking are documented, the renter agrees to pay a $200.00 / per day.

3. Quiet hours for the property are between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Please keep the noise levels down over this time.

4. This home is equipped with a security camera outside for the protection of home and safety of our guests. It is recording 24/7, 365 days a year. There are no cameras on the interior of the home.

There was plenty of parking, fridge space and yard for everyone. The pictures don't do justice to how beautiful, quiet and remote it is. Don't be deterred by the long drive up. Definitely use Google Maps for navigating. All around a great place for those looking to kick back and relax. We had plenty of space inside and out, for our game loving, badminton swinging, volleyball spiking, ping pong paddling, corn hole throwing group. (Badminton and volleyball not included, but when we asked about setting up a net, the host was gracious enough to say yes). The house is well stocked and had more than enough tables, chairs and sundries. Would stay again!"

Located downtown, this revitalized four-story townhouse was completely renovated in 2020. Guests can access the top three stories of the house which include a fully furnished living and dining room space, a fully-equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a fenced in yard/patio. Only a 10 minute drive to the Yuengling Brewery! Enjoy walking to restaurants and local parks. By car, visit many of the region's historical areas, hiking trails, and outdoor activities!
The space
On the first floor you'll spend time in our furnished living room, dining area, and kitchen. Original hardwood floors run throughout this updated and clean space. With plenty of seating in the living room, the space is great for conversation, relaxing, or watching the big game on the 65" TV. The large dining table, which seats 8 comfortably, is perfect for big meals and gatherings! Our kitchen, which includes granite countertops and brand new appliances, is fully stocked with dinnerware, pots and pans, and all cooking essentials. Kitchen includes a Keurig coffee machine, full-sized refrigerator, oven/stove, toaster oven, microwave, air fryer and dishwasher.

On the second floor you'll find two of three bedrooms, a separate bathroom, and our laundry area. Luxury vinyl planking runs throughout the efficiently designed layout. The front bedroom is equipped with a queen bed, reading nook, and TV. The back bedroom has two beds, a twin and a queen. In the hall, you'll find the bathroom which includes a large double vanity, a shower/tub, and a separate toilet room with a pocket door. The laundry is located on the second floor landing; a full-sized washer and dryer will be available for use.

Retreat to the third floor and discover the master suite. This large room with a lofted ceiling is perfect for relaxing. You'll find a king-sized bed, TV, reading nook, and a large desk for doing any on-the-go business or work. Attached is a full en suite with a glass-door shower.

Outside, you'll find a quaint patio. Relax on the patio furniture while utilizing our propane grill. The backyard is also fully fenced.

Parking: Street parking is available directly in front of the residence. There is also public parking on the street and at the Little League Complex, which is roughly 150 yards from the house. **Please be respectful and do not park in neighbors' spots in front of their houses. During the spring and summer, the Little League Complex parking will more than likely be crowded during the day.**

We were visiting family for the holiday weekend, and this home was absolutely perfect. It was also one of the most well-stocked kitchens we've seen in a rental, we did not want for anything. As an added bonus, there was a playground across the street and a brand new playground a 5 minute walk away.
