Welcome to our magical mountain retreat! Our home is ready to serve up some of the most peaceful and breathtaking sunsets of your life! Enjoy the space to roam as the home sits on 2 acres and is adjacent to Beltzville State Park. There are plenty of hiking trails, skiing, and boating within minutes. The home has 4 large bedrooms as well a small room with a twin bed. The basement has pool and ping pong tables, Pop-a-shot basketball, and arcade games (Pac Man and Mortal Combat).
The space
Living room has a two-story wood burning fireplace. There are two large sofas and 2 chairs.

Dining room has a large table that can seat 10 plus another high-top table that seats 2.

Kitchen will have everything you need from a waffle maker and electric griddle to service wear.

The master bedroom has a king size bed with attached bath. The master bath has a jetted tub and stall shower.

The upstairs has 3 bedrooms plus a bonus room. Bedroom 2 is a king, bedroom 3 has a queen. Bedroom 4 has a queen and a twin with a trundle. The bonus room is a twin daybed/trundle perfect for a kid or two.

All bedrooms and living rooms have TVs. We are cable free (antenna only plus apps) so feel free to sign in to your favorite app and get watching on any of the smart TVs throughout the home.

For entertainment, the kids and adults can hang in the basement and shoot pool, play ping pong, or Pop-a-shot. Arcade games are available too! We have mortal combat and pac man.
Guest access
Guests will have free reign of the home with the exception of the garage space and one locked owners closet in the master bedroom.
Other things to note: Lehighton has so much to do within short drives. It’s the perfect spot for your pocono getaway!

Beltsville lake has a free beach about 10 minutes away from our home. They have a snack bar and sandy swim area. Bring a chair and enjoy. The weekends are always packed so best to do this during the week. There is also lake access from our side of the lake but it is a hike back up to the house. It takes about 20 minutes from our door to the lake walking.

Blue Mountain is 20 minutes away for all your skiing needs!

Jim Thorpe is a must do! They have great restaurants, shopping, and a historic train. If you are looking for adult fun, grab an uber and try their pub crawl trolley or wine and shine trolley!

In summer, there is river tubing, mountain biking and rafting all about 15 minutes from our house. Services can take you to a drop off location and let you either float or ride back to the starting point.

Hideaway hills public golf course is about 10 minutes away if you are looking to get on the green.

Anyone planning to use Uber should note getting a ride back was impossible. Fortunately, we had a car parked in Jim Thorpe. Easy to shuttle folks back and forth, needing to park 1 car in Jim Thorpe instead of finding multiple elusive parking spots there. Hosts are terrific about communicating, too. Just about the best rental I've ever had from VRBO and other rental sites."

Whip-poor-will Woods is welcoming campers during the Coronavirus Pandemic. We feel we offer a safe and stress-free escape that other travel destinations may not. We have only one tent site that is far from any neighbors on a 100+ acre private forest. We do a no-touch, distancing welcome at your vehicle, we completely disinfect the tent and furniture before every new arrival. You should bring your own bedding or sleeping bags. Our ventilation system is the GREAT outdoors. We have adjusted our check-out time to 10:30 am to give us plenty of time for the site cleaning. We now provide extra water and toilet paper. We will not allow any two-legged visitors near the site and you are asked not to allow any other people to visit you without being first registered by Tentrr. Schedule a leisurely guided nature walk with the Campkeepers as an extra or explore many trails on your own. We have 100-plus private acres. The Space:
Immerse yourself in forest seclusion on a mountainside of Oak & Maple trees. Completely private. No other camp sites.

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with farmers, ranchers, and other property owners to offer unique outdoor accommodations on beautiful private land. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! You'll have the entire campsite to yourself, as you'll be the only Campers enjoying this piece of paradise.

Each campsite includes a 10'x12' safari-style canvas tent on a raised platform, and you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed inside (each site is different, see photos for the exact setup). Larger groups can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided (you’re welcome to bring your own camping gear too). You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night.

Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property.

If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper’s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. Line the bucket with a CleanWaste bag supplied at the camp (or another appropriate plastic bag) prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. We got this idea from bathrooms used on NASA spaceships, and we've used the Tentrr Loo countless times ourselves- don't worry!

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

Quiet must be maintained.

No fires except at the campsite fire pit. Due to Spotted Lanternfly Restrictions, firewood may not be brought to the campsite from outside this county. No fires when the campsite is not occupied. For forest fire safety -No Tiki Torches. No fireworks. No guns of any kind. No bow hunting equipment. No gasoline generators. No ATVs or powered Dirt Bikes.

Trees and other natural habitat may not be damaged or altered in any way.

The tent is comfortable, it has a queen size bunk bed with inflatable mattresses. The toilet is inside the tent. It can be moved outside, but it has to sleep inside since is wooden. The “shower” is actually a water bag that has to be warmed by the sun or add some heated water. The road to get to the tent is very rough, but we made it very slow with our Honda Odyssey. The owners are very helpful and friendly, they are there for whatever you need. Since it supposed to be cold at night the owners gave us a stove to heat the tent up (didn’t need to use it, but still was very nice from them)"

- "Nice place and nice environment." - "I try to give my kids new experiences to create great memories. When I saw the listing for the farm I immediately wanted to book I knew my boys would love it but was hesitant because it was a new listing with no reviews. When we got to the property we were met by the owners son who stays in the basement to take care of the animals. He was awesome polite and very friendly. We enjoyed talking to him. But it was kind of a shock to know someone else was staying in the house it should have been in the listing. We did have complete privacy that being said. The boys were outside almost the entire time we were at the property looking at the animals running around and playing on the swing set. The seriously loved it! There were plenty of fresh eggs available but I didn't get to take advantage of cooking breakfast as we were only there for a quick weekend getaway. The house was clean but a few things would make it more comfortable... We were able to find one oscillating fan but that was i and I know that is not an issue for everyone but we are accustomed to moving air and the drains were a little slow to drain. Also there were no towels provided. Luckily I had brought some to use for our adventures but needed to use them as bath towels instead. All of that being said I would definitely stay here again. It's quaint and cute and not everyone gets to say they vacationed to a farm!"

The space
Master Bedroom loft: King size bed with a den sitting or sleeping area.
The main floor consists of a spacious open-concept, living-dining room-kitchen, with a pull out couch, all under a beautiful cathedral ceiling. An oversized bathroom with a claw-foot tub completes this level. There is a wood burning stove for those cold nights.
Disconnect from it all, if you want, but if you need to still be connected, there is wifi and a projector to watch your favorite streaming shows (there is a chrome cast but please bring your streaming device if you want).
The kitchen is fully equipped but you will have to do the dishes by hand! There is a weber propane barbecue for the guests to enjoy and a fire pit ready to be fired- up for gathering around and enjoy the beautiful sunsets.

Summary:
Your wilderness camping experience begins as soon as you enter the forest canopy on your journey to the campsite. Once at the site you will enjoy the soothing sounds and natural views of the mountain spring flowing down the valley known locally as "The Church Hollow"(derived from being behind the local church). Wilderness and wildlife surround you. Our land being the western edge of a small group of land owners, we are surrounded/horseshoed by acres and acres of watershed property. So if you're looking for seclusion, this is a pretty good place to find it. The campsite is a beautiful place to kick back and recharge but if you're looking for activities, you're minutes away from many outdoor as well as indoor activities.

The Space:

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature!

Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed with a memory foam mattress. The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, and 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs.

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation.

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

Unless conditions are ideal 4wd/AWD with a fair amount of ground clearance is advised. However a farm tractor w/trailer transport can be provided from the campkeepers home to the site for a small fee as listed in the "extras" .
We ask for quiet to be maintained to the best of your ability
Keeping safety in mind all fires must be contained within the campsite fire ring as well as fire must be out prior to leaving site for any reason.
With the influx of so many tree damaging insects/blights/etc. we ask you not to bring outside firewood.
Tiki torches and fireworks are prohibited as well for fire safety.
Guns of any kind, bowhunting equipment, gasoline generators, ATV's, and Dirt bikes are all prohibited.
Trees and natural habitat may not be damaged or altered in any way (i.e. carving names into trees etc.)
The nearby cabin site can be used for outdoor activities and the porch may be used for shelter from the weather but entering or attempting to is strictly prohibited without camp-keepers' supervision. Cell phone charging stations(2) are supplied on the porch as well

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location.

If a Tentrr Host submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the host's property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your confirmation email. Your Tentrr Host is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable).
