While you are enjoying the view and listening to the water, you will want to watch for the abundant wildlife this area has to offer; bald eagles, herons, ducks, geese, deer, and more.

We are Pet friendly! If you want a vacation we are sure your pet wants one too! There is a $120pet fee. When booking, please be sure to add "pets" to your booking, if not we will add the fee for you. If there is evidence of pets and the pet fee was not paid, the pet fee will be taken out of your damage deposit. There is a maximum of 2 pets. Pets must always be on a leash when outside, all poop must be removed from property prior to check out, and no pets on furniture. Pets must be completely housebroken, well-behaved, and pest free (no flea or ticks). Guests will assume and agree to cover all costs for any damage created by their pets.

Absolutely no smoking or vaping of anything in the cottage. If there is any "scent" detected you will pay a minimum of (but not limited to) $300.00 damage fee if you smoke/vape anything inside. Smoking & vaping is permitted outside with all the doors and windows closed. Please pick up and properly dispose of all cigarettes.

Welcome to Duncan's Den, named after our beloved black lab. This cabin is cozy and inviting with all the comforts of home. It is a perfect getaway for families, friends, and couples. The cabin is for 6 people maximum
Inside, you will find an open floor plan with a living room and dining room. Just off the living/dining room area is a half bath/ laundry room. There is a large, well equipped kitchen with pots, pans, dishes, utensils, crockpot, coffeemaker (full pot & K-cup).
Upstairs has 3 bedrooms (sleeps 6 comfortably), a full bath, and a walk-in closet. Two bedrooms have queen size beds, and the 3rd bedroom has two twin size beds. There are plenty of dressers and closet space to unpack and feel at home.
Outside has a large, deep front porch with rocking chairs, a swing, and a pub height table & stools. It is the perfect place to sit during the summer rain showers. Relax while taking in the views and sounds of the beautiful Penns Creek. From the front porch swing or rocking chairs you can see the bald eagles, eaglets, herons, ducks, geese, and more. There is a generous yard perfect for kids and a fire pit in the back yard and by the creek. Private access to the creek for fishing, launching your kayaks/canoes, playing in the water, or just relaxing.
While you are here, be sure to visit the many wineries in the area, Penns Creek Pottery, T&D's Cats of the World, Penn's Cave, PA Grand Canyon, Raymond B. Guests will enjoy this colonial home located in the quaint town of New Berlin, PA. Guests will delight in the picturesque setting from the private backyard with views of the famous Penns Creek and lovely established farms. Guests will appreciate their direct recreational access to the water right on the property with the home safely out of the flood zone. New Berlin, being central located, is a 10-15 minute drive to Lewisburg, Mifflinburg, and Selinsgrove.

This home, built circa 1850 is unique in several ways from the old fashioned side porch, original log accents, old wood floors, wide window sills and hand-hewn beams. Relax in the living room with the original log cabin wall and exposed beams in front of the warm fireplace. This room has an intimate, snug and warm feeling. Although visitors will enjoy the charm of days gone by they will appreciate the modern touches of the home’s complete renovation in 2019. Craftsman restored the original logs and chinking from the home. Exposed rough cut beams adorn the living room and upstairs bedrooms. Renters will enjoy the space of three bedrooms plus an additional child’s loft space for playing or sleeping. One of the bedrooms is a traditional colonial “keeping room”. In colonial times the keeping room was next to the kitchen to take advantage of the kitchen heat. A keeping room is a combination sitting room and sleeping room and utilizes convertible sofa bed to keep the traditional keeping room functionality. Guests enter the keeping room through double barn doors. This room has a relaxing feel with water-views and access to the yard. In addition to the keeping room/bedroom, guests will likely spend time gathering around the gas fireplace in the living room.

The home has two bedrooms upstairs with a full bathroom between the rooms. The feeling of space is accented by the 12 foot high ceiling emulating post and beam construction. This first bedroom has a queen size bed. The second bedroom has room to sleep five people with three single twin beds and a children’s loft with a full mattress. The headroom to the top of the loft is about 5 feet. The downstairs living room also have sleeping options with a queen sofa bed.

Guests will value the professional landscaped backyard that has a wood and wire fence to keep pets and children safe while maintaining the water-views. There is a sunken area with a stone fire pit to enjoy toasting marshmallows. There is also a large alfresco dining area. The back yard is accented with low stone walls built by hand. The tall cedar fence on the west side of the yard provides complete privacy. The east side is blocked by the homes tall, rustic, barn-like garage.

Guests will appreciate the quiet one-way street of this location. Traffic is minimal since most cars are headed to the few homes on this street. The locations is an easy walk to the town’s park that has a boat (kayak) launch and playground area. It is a nice area for a walk along the creek with your favorite person or four-legged friend. This park is used for the town's July 4th festivities and fireworks. Guests will also enjoy walking through town and checking out the Victorian architecture and gardens of the homes.

Don't be surprised if you see horse and buggies on the road. This area still enjoys the rich culture of an Amish and Mennonite community. Many have small businesses in the area that you are encouraged to shop at such as grocery stores with bakeries, plant nurseries/greenhouses, road side stands, fabric stores, farm goods and harness shops.

Built in 2021, this cabin is a hidden gem at the base of Jack's Mountain on Penns Creek, a premier trout stream in central Pennsylvania. The cabin is on a stocked section with immediate access to the creek via a set of stairs. Fly Away Cabin is near an Orvis fly shop and has nearby access to snowmobile, four-wheeler and horse trails in a state park about 2 miles uphill from the cabin. 30 minutes from Bucknell University. 35 minutes from Susquehanna University. 1 hour from Penn State. The cabin is quiet, secluded, and away from city lights.

- "The whole place was clean, beautiful and accommodating!" - "The little cabin was as pictured. Kitchen was stocked with enough of needed items. A larger coffee pot would have been preferred for us, but the 5 cup worked well. Bed was comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the porch looking over the park. Air conditioners worked well. Ceiling fans were not usable because of the amount of dust on them. The campground provides many fun and interesting activities that creates a wonderful feeling of community. There was a pool but it was closed when we were there (late Sept). The two small issues that I would bring up are 1) the showers seem to be either completely hot or cold but nothing in between and 2) mattresses in the cabins are a bit stiff. Our cozy cabin has a beautiful open layout with a full kitchen or if you prefer there is an outdoor grill available for use. There is a full size washer and dryer with laundry soap available to use inside cabin. Living room has a queen size futon as a bed offering additional sleeping, host is able to provide king size air mattress if needed for a maximum occupancy of 6 . Bedding and towels are provided. We consider this partially off grid as there is limited cell service and no internet or satellite available in cabin. Excellent getaway for anyone who just wants to be surrounded by wildlife, nature, beautiful sunsets yet close enough to enjoy everything that Central Pennsylvania has to offer.
Pets are welcome.
